Please carefully read all instructions BEFORE assembling and using the
Cargo Sling. Please keep owner’s manual for future use. Failure to
follow each of the following warnings and the assembly, use and care
instructions can result in serious injury or death.
• Only use carrier for infants 20 lbs or less.
• Baby’s air flow should not be obstructed at anytime.
• Never leave baby unattended.
• Never bend forward from waist with infant in sling.
• For use by adults while standing or walking – DO NOT run, jog, bike
or operate a vehicle while using carrier.
• Never use as a swing.
• Cargo Sling is not designed for holding child in motor vehicles and
should not be used in place of a car seat that meets federal motor
vehicle safety standards.
• Always check to make sure baby’s head and body are in the correct
position in the sling. There should always be room between your
baby’s face and the Cargo Sling to provide a clear source of air.
• Do not place objects in sling around baby’s face that will obstruct the
source of air.
• Inspect the sling regularly for any signs of loose seams, tears,
separation or broken parts. Discontinue use immediately if damaged,
broken or parts are missing.
WARNING – FALL HAZARD
Putting on your Cargo Sling
Try the Cargo Sling on and get
comfortable with it before putting
baby in. Put the sling strap over
your head and arm and let it rest on
your shoulder. The adjustable buckle
and strap should be in the center
of your back. Note that the sling
can be placed on either shoulder. It
is recommended that you support
your baby with your hands until you
get comfortable with wearing your
Cargo Sling.
Putting your baby in the Cargo Sling
• Adjust the strapping to a proper fit before placing baby into carrier.
• Always put the carrier on your body AFTER putting baby in.
• Place the carrier on a secure surface that is wide and flat (such as a
bed or changing table) keeping it away from the surface’s edge.
• Position the front of the carrier (the Cool Flow™ Breathable Mesh
closest to your body) toward your free arm – the arm you won’t be
sliding into the shoulder harness.
• Carefully support your baby’s head and back while you gently
position him in the carrier. Be sure to place your baby’s head at the
front of the carrier for proper headrest support and access to the
Cool Flow™ Breathable Mesh.
• Keep your free hand under the headrest to support your baby’s head
and neck as you slide the carrier over your opposite arm and your
head.
• Let the carrier come to rest securely on your shoulder as you stand
up.
• Once the carrier is securely in place, it will not be necessary to hold
your baby with your hands and arms. However, you will probably feel
more comfortable keeping one hand under your baby until you get
used to the feel of the carrier.
Important: Check frequently to be certain that your baby is correctly
positioned and has plenty of airflow around his head and face for
proper breathing.
