INSTRUCTION GUIDE
Congratulations! You are now the owner of a Spray Commander training system with remote control designed for your dog’s education. Your new Spray Commander system can be used to interrupt any of your dog’s unwanted behaviors such as running away and chasing, stealing objects or food, digging, jumping on guests, etc. This system will improve and strengthen dog-master relationships because the correction is associated with the action and not the master. It will allow you to redirect your dog’s attention and behavior while promoting a healthy emotional state.
How it works:
Spray Commander uses a remote control and a harmless spray collar to re-direct the attention of the distracted or misbehaving dog, or one that has learned that obedience is optional. It can be activated at a distance up to 250 ft (85 m). In addition to having two levels of spray to disrupt unwanted behaviors, the Spray Commander also incorporates a sound signal for positive reinforcement. You can use it to let your dog know when the behavior he is engaged in is acceptable. The sound becomes a reward for your dog. For more information on positive training, please refer to the enclosed CD.
This innovative system causes no secondary effects (fear, burns, pain).
This instruction guide and enclosed CD will provide you with all the information required to maximize the effi ciency of your new Spray Commander.

PREPARATION
Adjusting the collar to the spray device
1. Remove the keeper from the black collar (A). Pass the black collar (B) through the loops of the spray device (C). Put the keeper back on the collar (D). The curved edge of the keeper should face inward.
2. Feed the free end of the collar into the slot of the buckle that is closest to the Multivet logo (A) from the back to the front. Then, thread the free end of the collar through the outside slot (B) from the front to the back. The free end should now hang on the outside, then thread the keeper (C). When you have completed this section, the assembled collar looks has illustrated (D).
Take off all other collars your dog may be wearing and place the spray collar around his neck, making sure the spray valve is directed toward the snout. Adjust the collar to fi t like a regular collar. You should be able to easily pass two fi ngers between your dog’s neck and the device (A). We suggest that you check the collar regularly to make sure that it is well adjusted.
Note:
If these instructions are not properly followed, the buckle can easily be pulled off the
collar. This could lead to the device being lost or damaged.

Your dog must get used to the device before you actually start using it. We suggest that you make your dog wear the spray device during 4 to 5 days before inserting the battery and fi lling the device. At the same time, we also suggest that you remove and put the collar back frequently on your dog.
Filling the device
1. Set the device on a fl at surface, with the fi ll-up valve turned upwards. Shake the spray can before using it.
2. Hold the can upside down, then insert the aerosol tip in the fi ll-up valve – the deepest cavity (A) – then press down fi rmly for 10 seconds (B). Release pressure and press down for another 10 seconds, then release.
Note: If spray is escaping as you attempt to fi ll the device, increase the downward pressure on
the refi ll can to get a better seal. You cannot overfi ll the device. When completely fi lled, there should be enough gas in your device for 18-23 sprays.
Inserting the battery
1. Slide off the battery cover from the spray device and insert one 6-volt alkaline battery without forcing it, keeping the polarity in mind (+ and -) (A, B). Slide the cover back on.
2. Slide off the battery cover from the remote control and insert one 6-volt alkaline battery, respecting polarity (+ and -) (C, D). Slide the cover back on.

Using the Remote Control
• The upper button (position no 1) emits a sound signal.
• The center button (position no 2) sends a short spray.
• The lower button (position no 3) sends a long spray.
Note: Check if the device is working by pressing the upper button (A)
on your remote control; you should hear a beep.
The Spray Settings - The spray is used to interrupt the dog and redirect his attention. The more a dog seems absorbed by his activity, the longer the spray will have to be to stop and correct his behavior, and to redirect his attention.
No programming needed - Your Spray Commander device and remote control are now pre-programmed to make their use easier for you and your pet!
Adjust the device onto the dog’s neck with the Spray Commander logo facing inward. Make sure the spray nozzle is pointing towards the dog’s snout.
Turn the device on.
DO’S AND DON’T’S
• Go through the entire training CD before using your Spray Commander to truly understand the product and how it can work for you and your pet.
• Never infl ict punishment, pain or cruelty on your pet – even if he refuses to listen. Have patience and follow the training tips provided.
• Reward your pet when he listens and obeys your commands.
• Never let the dog ignore a command he understands.
• Do not use the spray when you want your dog to obey a command that he does not understand yet.
A
• Never fi ll the device while your dog is wearing it because it may damage the fi ll-up valve.
• Never fasten a leash to the Spray Commander collar.
• To ensure that your dog does not make the connection between you and the Spray Commander, don’t let him see you prepare the device, neither for the fi rst try, nor for subsequent use. Keep your dog away while you prepare the device as well as when you fi ll it or change the battery.
• Make sure the device is always ready to function, should the dog display undesirable behavior. We recommend that you verify the device every day to make sure it contains enough spray.
• Put the collar around the dog’s neck at least 20 minutes before the training session begins so that the dog doesn’t associate wearing the spray collar with the exercises.
• Turn OFF the device while not in use.
IMPORTANT REMARKS
1. The Spray Commander is not a toy. Keep it away from the reach of children. Use
it only for its training purpose.
2. Multivet’s Spray Commander must be used only on healthy dogs. We recommend

4. Keep the device clean at all times. Do not immerse it in water when cleaning.
Simply use a dry cloth to wipe away dirt.
5. Do not leave your device unattended where your dog could get a hold of it and
