EkoTek Fob – Quick Instructions
Button Functions

Send Assist call (1 or 2 pushes - configured

by Supervisor)

Button Function :

1) Clear Assist call (short press)

2) Power ON/OFF (long press)

3) Check if on network (short press)
(LED : one flash = off network

two flashes = on network)

LED – normally OFF

When Assist button pressed :
Slow flash - alarm being sent
2 fast flashes - alarm delivered
3 fast flashes - alarm accepted

Beep & Vibrate

Operation of beep and vibrate is set by the Supervisor at the Hub.
The Call Fob beep/vibrate (if enabled) is used to indicate a change in

the status of an assist call and operates in conjunction with the LED
flashes on the Call Fob.

Other beeps :
Periodic double beep – low battery
Two beeps twice – out of range of an EkoTek network

Connecting to a Network

If the Fob has been taken off-network, press the black button when in
range of a network to make the Fob quickly re-join the network (e.g.
when arriving at work in the morning).

AAA Ni-Mh rechargeable or non-rechargeable alkaline batteries
may be used in the Call Fob.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and Industry
Canada Standard RSS 210.

Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may

interference that may cause undesired operation.

Unauthorised modification to this equipment will void the user's authority
to continue to operate the device within the scope of the Industry

WEEE Directive & Product Disposal

At the end of its serviceable life, this product should not be
treated as household, or general waste. It should be
handed over to the applicable collection point for the
recycling of electrical and electronic equipment, or returned
to the supplier for disposal.

Man-Down Operation (if enabled by Supervisor)

To prevent the automatic man-down alarm being sent, keep the Call Fob
in an upright position (normally worn in the Call Fob holster on a belt)

Dead-Man Operation (if enabled by Supervisor)

Press the button to
respond to periodic
dead-man check
(audible beep) and
prevent automatic
alarm generation

Fonction des boutons

Envoi d’un appel d’assistance (1 ou 2 appuis – configuré par le

Fonction du bouton:

1) Efface l’appel d’assistance (appui court)

2) Marche/Arrêt (appui long)

3) Contrôle la presence d’un réseau (appui court)
(DEL : un flash = pas de réseau
deux flashes = presence d’un réseau)

DEL – Normalement éteint
Lorsque le bouton s’assistance est enfoncé:
Flash lent – Alarme envoyée
2 flashes rapides – Alarme reçue
3 flashes rapides – Alarme acceptée

Tonalités bip et vibreur

Le fonctionnement du bip et du vibreur est défini par le superviseur sur
la station pivot.

Les fonctions bip/vibreur du porte-clé d'appel (si ces dernières sont
activées) servent à indiquer un changement dans le statut d'un appel
d'assistance et fonctionnent conjointement avec les flashes des DEL,
clignotant sur le Porte-clé d'appel.

Autres bips :
Bip double périodique – batterie faible
Bip triple – hors de portée d'un réseau Eko Tek

Se connecter à un réseau

Si le Porte-clé d'appel a été mis hors réseau, appuyer sur n'importe
quelle touche noire lorsque l'appareil entre dans une zone couverte par
un réseau, pour le réactiver rapidement (par exemple, en arrivant au
travail le matin).
