Serial-to-Wi-Fi® Device Server

The MultiConnect™ WF device server connects serial devices to an IP network via 802.11b wireless networking. It enables you to build wireless networking into virtually any device allowing for remote monitoring, control and conﬁguration. The device server integrates a complete TCP/IP protocol stack. It can make your existing and next generation device, machine or system, IP-ready while you focus on developing its core features.

Serial-to-Wi-Fi Technology. The MultiConnect WF device

server provides the powerful ability to IP-enable serial devices allowing more options for data acquisition, device management, and industrial control than would otherwise be available. The device server integrates a processor, proprietary operating system, TCP/IP stack and an 802.11b wireless network connection to provide a complete serial-toWi-Fi connectivity solution.

Industrial Chassis. The MultiConnect WF device server is

packaged in a rugged, industrial chassis with an RS-232 interface connector and 10/100BaseT Ethernet connector. It can be desktop or panel mounted. Numerous LEDs provide visual monitoring of link, activity, operational status and power. It is available with external or RS-232 power options.
