Installation
1. Disconnect power to chiller and turn off water and CO
2. Follow instructions supplied to replace circulation motor / pump and agitator
motor. Do not re-install front panel after you are done so that the existing ERC
board can be accessed (Figure 1 ).
NOTE: The Model 50M kit has two circulation motors / pumps.
3. Bleed water from lines and use clamps to shut off water from both circulation and
carbonation lines. Failure to do so may cause electrical shock or injury.
4. Remove 2 mounting screws on ERC and let the board hang by the wires. (Fi g ure 2 )
Do not discard the mounting screws as they will be used again in step 4.
5. Installation of new ERC board:
A. Install new ERC board provided with mounting screws from step 3.
B. Move connections from existing ERC board to the new ERC board, one at a
time, to get correct. (Figure 3)
6. Install front panel with screws that were removed in step 2.
7. Energy saving mode will enable once circulators are turned on, and no
carbonation cycles for 30 minutes.
A. Energy savings mode is indicated by a "oXXX" (zero in left digit)
B. Energy savings mode will turn agitator and circulator off for 10 minutes, then
turn on till circulation temperature is below target temperature.
C. Temperatures above 38°F will not enable energy savings mode.
D. First carbonation cycle will disable energy savings mode.
NOTE: This new ERC control board will change circulator LEDs to flash when ON and
remain lit when controlled OFF by energy saving mode.
