1. Remove the damaged or defective 284 or 285 daughtercard from
location 5S (284) or 6D (285).

2. Place a good quality dual-wipe 28 pin socket in the existing socket
at 6D or 5S. (For maximum reliability the original socket can be
desoldered from the game board and the dual-wipe 28 pin socket
soldered into place.)

3. Plug the appropriate replacement daughtercard into the dual-wipe
socket. It will take some gentle force to seat the header pins on the
replacement into the socket.

4. The 284 replacement will slightly overlap the top edge of the board.
The orientation of the daughtercard replacements should be as
shown in the drawing above.
