Safety Precautions
Proper safety precautions must be observed. Like all power equipment this unit must be handled carefully. Do not expose yourself or others to danger. Do not permit others to use this trimmer unless they have read this manual and are trained in its
operation
Never allow children to use the machine.
Avoid operating while people, especially children are nearby.
Dress properly! Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery which can be caught in moving parts. Use of sturdy gloves, on-skid footwear, and safety glasses is recommended.
Stop the engine or disconnect from mains before.
Cleaning or when clearing a blockage. Checking, maintenance or working on the machine.
While operating the machine always be sure of a safe and secure operating position especially when using steps or a ladder.
Do not operate the trimmer with a damaged or excessively worn cutting device.
To reduce fire hazards keep the engine and silencer free of debris leaves, or excessive lubricant.
Do not use any attachments with this power head other than the ones recommended by our company. Serious injury to the operator or bystanders can result as well as cause damage to the machine.
Always use proper handles and shoulder strap when cutting.
Never start or run the engage inside a closed room or building. Fumes from the exhaust contain dangerous carbon monoxide.
Never attempt to make engine adjustments while the unit is running and strapped to the operator. Always make engine adjustments with the unit resting on a flat, clear surface.
Do not use the unit if it is damaged or poorly adjusted. Never remove the machine’s guard. Serious injury to the operator or bystanders could result as well as damage to the machine.
Never leave the trimmer running and unattended.
Do not use this unit for any job other than those for which it is intended as described in this manual.
Clean the machine completely, especially, the fuel tank, its surroundings, and the air cleaner.
The engine should be turned off when the trimmer is moved between areas and when transporting or storing the machine always fit the cutting device guard.
In start-up or during operation of the engine, never touch hot parts such as the muffler, the high voltage wire or the spark plug.
After the engine has stopped, the muffler will still be hot. Never place the machine in any places where there are flammable materials (dry grass, etc.), combustible gases or combustible liquids.
Do not operate the trimmer in the rain.
Before proceeding to adjust or repair the machine, be sure to stop the engine and detach the spark plug.

Keep the machine away from fire or sparks.
Always wear ear protection. Loud noises for an extended period of time may damage your hearing.
Total face and head protection must be worn to prevent injury from plummeting branches.
Wear no-slip heavy duty work gloves to improve your grip on the brush cutter handle. Gloves also reduce the transmission of machine vibration to your hands.
Always ensure all handles and guards are fitted when using the machine.
Always be aware of your surroundings and stay alert for possible hazards that you may not hear due to the noise of the machine.
Fuel Safety
Use unleaded or quality leaded petrol.
The lowest recommended octane rating is 90. If you run the engine on petrol with a lower octane rating than 90 so-called knocking can occur. The knocking means that there is a markedly increased engine temperature which can cause a serious engine breakdown.
Two-Stroke Oil
Use high quality two-stroke oil intended for air cooled engines.
Mixing ratio: 1:25 (1 part oil to 25 parts of petrol; 40ml of oil to 1 litre of petrol).
Never use two-stroke oil intended for water cooled outboard motor oil.
Never use oil intended for four-stroke engines.
Mixture
Always mix petrol and oil in a clean container intended for petrol.
Always start by filling half the quantity of petrol required.
Mix (shake) the fuel mixture. Fill the remaining quantity of petrol.
Mix (shake) the fuel mixture carefully before filling in the machine’s fuel tank.
Do not mix fuel for more than approximately 2 months use.
If the trimmer is not used for a long period of time, the fuel tank should be emptied and cleaned.
Clean around the fuel cap. Contamination in the tank can disrupt operations.
Ensure that the fuel is well mixed by shaking the container before filling the tank.
Keep the handles free from oil and fuel.
Do not smoke while mixing fuel or filling tank.
Do not mix fuel in an enclosed room or near open flames. Always assure adequate ventilation.
Always mix and store the fuel in a properly marked container that is approved by local codes and ordinances for such usage.
Never remove the fuel tank cap while the engine is running.
When refuelling, be sure to stop the engine and confirm that it is cooled down. Never refuel when the engine is running or hot. When gasoline spills, be sure to wipe it up to completely dispose of those materials before starting the engine.

Trimming Techniques
To trim your hedge in a straight line, try using string. Stretch a piece of string along the hedge at the appropriate height. Trim the hedge just above this guide line of string.
Do not try to trim hedges which are above your normal reach. You must hold the trimmer with both hands at all times while operating.
Trim the side of a hedge so that it will be slightly narrower at the top. More of the hedge will be exposed when shaped this way and its growth will be more uniform.
When trimming new growth, use a wide, sweeping action so that the stems are fed directly into the cutter blade. Older growth will have thicker stems and will be trimmed easiest by using a sawing movement.
Do not try to cut stems that are larger than 3/8 inch which will be too thick and too large to feed into the cutter blade. Use a non-powered hand saw or pruning saw to cut the larger stems.
Maintenance
Below are some general maintenance instructions. If you need further information, please contact the manufacturer.
Daily Maintenance
Clean the outside of the trimmer.
Check that the stop switch functions.
