PrimaX®IR Quick Start Guide
This Guide is not a substitute for the manual contained on the Product Literature CD, P/N 10113582 supplied with this instrument. This quick start card
provides only a brief description of the operating instructions for the PrimaX IR Gas Monitor. The user of this instrument must be fully aware of the
limitations and instructions supplied in the operating instructions manual. Failure to follow the instructions may lead to serious personal injury or death.
1). If ordered with an optional Junction Box, connect the J-box to the mounting bracket. Mount the bracket to the
desired location (screws not included).
2). Mount sensor legs horizontally relative to each other for optimum performance as shown in Figure 1.

CALIBRATION
4). Using a high quality power supply, apply 18-32 VDC as measured at the sensor. Wait 60 minutes before calibrating.
5). Zero and SPAN calibration can be performed using the optional Calibration Cap or via the HART interface as
described in the instruction manual.

Do not install sensor in direct sunlight without use of a sunshield
(see Accessories section of the instruction manual).
