Installation Instructions
Step 1. Refer to "Guide to Gasket Thickness and its effects on
Compression Ratio." Select the overall thickness that you desire and locate the spacer or spacers (two max.) that will give you your desired thickness. Set them aside for assembly. A
T LEAST ONE SPACER
WILL NOT BE USED.
Step 2. Refer to "Kit Contents" and familiarize yourself with
the three layer types included. Spacers are marked "C" and with a numeric thickness. The two outer layers are marked "A". The inner layer is marked "B" and has a very visible "blue" elastomeric bead.
Step 3. Refer to "Methods of using the Spacers" and locate
the one that corresponds to your thickness choice. I.E., you will install either 1 spacer, 2 spacers or no spacers. There is a method of "stacking" shown for each combination. FAILURE TO STACK THE LAYERS
PROPERLY WILL RESULT IN COOLANT OR COMBUSTION LEAKAGE RESULT IN COOLANT OR COMBUSTION LEAKAGE AND ENGINE FAILURE.
Step 4. Once you have determined the parts to be used,
simply stack them as shown and secure with 4 (four) retainer Pins and Push Nuts (see "Retainer Pin Location"). Align the assembly with its mating coolant and bolt holes and install gasket.
DO NOT USE ANY SEALANTS.

Note: Figures are "approximate and based on calculations made on a standard bore, standard deck height, 1995 Honda 1.6L V-TEC." If your engine has had modifications to the bore, deck, or head, you will need to factor these into your selection process.
