IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons, basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE MACHINE.
2. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs or machine in water or in any other liquid.
3. Close adult supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or near children.
4. Press START/STOP button and unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool before installing or removing parts and before cleaning the appliance.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return this appliance only to the nearest Authorized Service Center for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended for Mr. Coffee® products may cause hazards or injuries.
8. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
9. Do not let the appliance cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
10. Check stainless steel bowl for presence of foreign objects before using.
11. Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

12. To disconnect, press the START/STOP button, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
13. Do not use the appliance for other than intended household use.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove any service covers. There are no user serviceable parts inside the Burr Mill. Only authorized personnel should repair the Burr Mill.
14. PRECAUTIONS
l Do not remove Cover until blade has completely
stopped.
l Do not attempt operation without the cover
being in place.
l Do not immerse the motorized base or blade
in liquid, or place in dishwasher. Damage to unit will occur if submerged in liquid. Only the transparent top cover may be immersed.
l Do not operate this machine continuosly for
more than 4 batches. Allow machine to cool down for 10 minutes after every 4 batches.
l Do not attempt to chop ice.

INTRODUCTION
Welcome and congratulations on the purchase of your new MR. COFFEE® Coffee Mill. Your new Coffee mill will wake up with you in the morning and provide you breaks and treats during your hectic daily activities. How you enjoy your MR. COFFEE® Coffee Mill is up to you!
SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS
1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from a person or pet becoming entangled in, or tripping over, a longer cord.
2. An extension cord may be purchased and used if care is exercised in its use.
3. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least 10 amps and 120 volts. The resulting extended cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over a countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
4. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
5. You can customize the length of the power cord so that it is the exact length you desire. To increase the length of the power cord: grasp the power cord (not the power plug) and gently lift it out of the slot, then pull it away from the Coffee mill. To decrease the length of the power cord: Grasp the power cord (not the power plug), lift it out of the slot and gently feed it into the Coffee mill.

INTRODUCTION
Unlock the fresh ground flavor of roasted coffee beans with your new Mr. Coffee® coffee mill. For the best results, please read the following instructions before you begin using this appliance.
1. Before you plug in your coffee mill, wipe the stainless steel grinding bowl, blades and cover with a lint free cloth.
2. Use this coffee mill to grind only coffee beans. Residue from grinding other foods will combine with the delicate oils of the coffee beans and affect the flavor of your coffee.
HOW TO GRIND THE BEANS
1. Remove the cover and fill the grinding bowl with coffee beans according to the following chart:

Note: This coffee mill grinds up to 11 tablespoons of whole coffee beans.
2. Place the cover on the coffee mill.
3. Plug in unit.
4. Hold the cover firmly into place (Figure B.) Be sure that the safety switch is in its track in order to operate this unit.
5. Press down on the safety switch according to the following grind time chart:

Drip Grind 11 15 seconds
Espresso Grind 6 12 to 15 seconds
For smaller batches of beans use less grind time.
6. When desired grind has be obtained, release the safety switch and wait 10 seconds for blades to stop. DO NOT REMOVE COVER UNTIL BLADES COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.
7. Unplug the unit. With one hand securing the cover, turn the coffee mill upside down and tap the cover lightly to insure that all of the coffee grounds have fallen into the cover.
8. While the unit is still upside down, carefully remove the cover filled with the ground coffee and transfer the grounds to your Coffee mill.
