5. Turn the coffeemaker OFF and unplug the power cord from the power source

8. Do not use the coffeemaker outdoors.

9. Do not let the power cord hang over edge of table or counter, or allow it to come
into contact with hot surfaces.

10. Do not place this coffeemaker on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a
heated oven.

11. To disconnect the coffeemaker, turn it OFF, then remove the power plug from
the power supply.

12. Place the appliance on a hard, flat level surface to avoid interruption of airflow
underneath the coffeemaker.

13. Check the grinding chamber for presence of foreign objects before using.

14. Avoid contact with any moving parts.

15. This coffeemaker is designed for household use only.

16. Do not use appliance for anything other than intended use.
Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove any service

covers. There are no user serviceable parts inside the coffeemaker. Only
authorized personnel should repair the coffeemaker.

Decanter Care

Follow the instructions bek)w to reduce or eliminate the chance of breaking the decanter:

• This decanter is designed for use with your MR. COFFEE®coffeemaker and therefore
must never be used on a rangetop or in any oven, including a microwave oven.

• Do not set a hot decanter on a wet or cold surface.

• Do not use a cracked decanter or a decanter having a loose or weakened handle.

• Do not clean the decanter with abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads or other
abrasive materials.

• Discard the decanter immediately if it is ever boiled dry.

• Protect the decanter from sharp blows, scratches or rough handling.

Special Cord Set Instructions

1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from a person
or pet burning entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord.

2. An extension cord may be purchased and used if care is exercised in its use.

3. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must
be at least 10 amps and 120 volts. The resulting extended cord must be arranged so
that it will not drape over a countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by childrer
or tripped over accidentally.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

Introduction

Thank you for selecting the MR.COFFEE® Grind & Brew 12-Cup Coffeemaker with
a built-in coffee grinder. The MR. COFFEE® Grind & Brew autcwnatically grinds
beans and dispenses coffee into the filter before the brew cyde begins. The
Programmable Timer can be set up to 24 hours in advance to automatically grind
beans and freshly brew coffee any time of the day.

The Grind & Brew Coffeemaker also features a lid activated Pause 'n Serve drip­stop valve that allows you up to 30 seconds to sneak a cup while the coffee is still
brewing, plus Two-hour Automatic Shut-Off and Power Loss Backup.

Please read ALL of the instmctions in this manual carefully before you begin to
use №is appliance. Proper care and maintenance will ensure a long life and a
trouble-free operation for this appliance.

Cleaning Your Coffeemaker Before Using the First Time

Make sure your first cup of coffee is as good as can be by cleaning your
MR. COFFEE® Grind & Brew Coffeemaker before its first use. Just follow
these simple steps:

1. Remove the Grinding Chamber Assembly. To remove the assembly,
grab both sides of the grinding chamber just below the lid and lift up
and away from the coffeemaker.

2. Wash the decanter lid and the grinding chamber assembly in a mixture

of mild detergent and water. Rinse each thoroughly (please refer to
the parts diagram on page 6). The decanter lid and the grinding
chamber are both top rack dishwasher safe.

3. Replace all the parts and close the lid. Then follow Steps 3 through

5 in “Brewing Coffee Now: Using Pre-Ground Coffee" on page 11 to
clean the inside of your coffeemaker.

4. When brewing is complete, turn your coffeemaker off. Discard the
water in the decanter and rinse the decanter, decanter lid. filter basket

and grinder chamber assembly.

Your coffeemaker Is now ready to use.

Coffeemaker Features

Your new MR. COFFEE®coffeemaker has the following features:

• 12-cup Brewing Capacity

• Removable Filter Basket - The filter basket lifts out of the brew basket
for fast and easy cleaning and filling.

• Removable Grinding Chamber Assembly - The grinding chamber
assembly lifts out of the coffeemaker to allow you to clean it after use.

• Pause 'n Serve - Can't wait for the coffee to finish brewing? The Pause
'n Serve feature allows you up to 30 seconds to pour a cup of coffee
while the coffeemaker is still brewing.

• Dual Water Windows - Show amount of water in the reservoir for
accurate filling.

• Brew Strength Selector -Adjusts the brewing time to create a more
full-flavored coffee.

• Cord Storage - Safely stores excess cord to keep your countertop neat.

• Audible Ready Signal - Beeps three times to alert you when the
coffeemaker has finished the brew cycle.

• Indicator Lights - The indicator lights let you know when your
coffeemaker Is in “Grind & Brew" or “Brew Only" mode.

• Programmable Controls:

- Clock -The LCD clock serves as a handy kitchen clock and also
allows you to set the Delay Brew feature.

- Delay Brew - Would you like to wake up to a fresh pot of coffee?
The Delay Brew feature allows you to pre-set when you would like
the coffeemaker to brew your coffee automatically, up to 24 hours
in advance.

- Two-Hour Auto Shut-Off - Keeps your coffee hot for two hours
then automatically shuts off.

- Power Loss Backup -If the power supply is cut off, the clock will
save memory for up to five minutes, so there is no need to reset
the clock or Delay Brew after a brief power outage.

Note: If you select any of the operating functions during the first five minutes
of a power outage, the coffeemaker will act upon the last operation selected

when the power is restored.

Suggested Coffee Measurement Chart

For best results, use a level tablespoon of fresh coffee beans. When Using
pre-ground coffee, use a level tablespoon (tbsp) of drip grind or a grind
recommended for automatic drip coffeemakers.

Use more or less coffee to suit your taste.

Setting the Clock and Delay Brew Time

To Set the Clock:

1. Plug the power cord Into a standard electrical outlet.

2. Alternately press and hold the HOUR and MINUTE buttons until you
reach the current time. For your convenience, AM and PM indicators are
provided in the display.

To Set Delay Brew Time:
Simply press and hold the DELAY BREW button while setting the brew time

with the HOUR and MINUTE buttons until you reach the time that you want
to pre-set for brewing. The display will indicate the AM or PM brew time that
you have selected. See Figure 1.

section on page 10 orthe'Brewing Coffee Later: Using Pre-Ground Coffee"
section on page 12.

Using the Brew Strength Selector

If you would like a more full-flavored coffee, press the BREW STRENGTH
selector button once before you begin brewing. The STRONG light will turn
on when it is set.

Brewing Coffee Now: Using Fresh Beans

1. Press the lid release button in front of the coffeemaker to open its lid.
Remove the grinding chamber assembly {see #1. page 5). Insert a MR.
COFFEE® brand 8-12 cup paper or permanent filter into the filter basket.
For best results, wet the edges of the paper filter and press it against the
sides of the filter basket to prevent filter collapse. Replace the filter basket
and the removable grinding chamber assembly.

Note: For your safety, If the lid Is opened during the grind or brew
cycle, the coffeemaker will turn itself off. If this happens, you must
restart the grind cycle by pressing the SELECT button once or restart
the brew cycle by pressing the SELECT button twice.

6. The coffeemaker will automatically begin brewing when grinding is

complete, as Indicated by the lighting of the BREw ONLY light. The
Audible Ready Signal wilt beep three times when the brew cycle is
complete. The colfeemaker will automatically turn off after two hours. The

Brew Only light will remain on during this time.

7. Once you are done enjoying your coffee, open the top of the coffeemaker
and remove the removable grinding chamber assembly (see page 6).
Rinse to remove any coffee residue remainina. The removable grinding
chamber assembly is top rack dishwasher safe. See Figure 4.

8. Discard the used grounds by removing the filter basket. See Figure 5.

Rinse the filter basket and replace it. The filter basket is top rack dishwasher

safe.

Note: When you open the coffeemaker lid. the warming plate will turn off.

9. To make another pot of coffee, turn the coffeemaker off by pressing the
SELECT button until all operating lights are off. Repeat Steps 1 through 8.

10. Be sure to turn your coffeemaker off when no longer using it. Simply
press the SELECT button until all operating lights are off.

Brewing Coffee Later: Using Fresh Beans

1. Set the Delay Brew Time (see page 8).

2. Follow Steps 1 through 4 in the “Brewing Coffee Now: Using Fresh Beans'

section on page 9.

3. Press the DELAY BREW button until it is flashing. Press the SELECT

button once until the GRIND & BREW light turns on and the DELAY

BREW tight remains on but stops flashing. The coffeemaker is now set
to automatically grind and brew coffee at the pre-set time. See Figure 6.
You may select the brew strength at this time.

4. At the desired brewing time, the DELAY BREW light will turn off. The
coffeemaker will begin grinding the coffee. When grinding is complete,
the GRIND & BREW light will turn o^ and the BREW ONLY light will turn
on. indicating that the coffeemaker is brewing.

5. The Audible Ready Signal will beep three times when the brew cycle is
complete. The coffeemaker will automatically turn off after two hours.The
BREW ONLY light will remain on during this time.

6. This coffeemaker will NOT start again automatically the next day.

To reset DELAY BREW, repeat Steps 2 through 3 above.

Brewing Coffee Now: Using Pre-Ground Coffee

Remove the removable grinding chamber assembly (see #1, page 5).

Insert a MR. COFFEE® brand 8-12 cup paper filter or permanent filter
into the filter basket. For best results, wet the edges of the paper filter to
help prevent overflow.

2. Add the desired amount of coffee and shake slightly to level the coffee.
See the Suggested Coffee Measurement Chart on page 8. Be sure the
paper filter is properly centered. Replace the filter basket and the removable
grinding chamber assembly.

3. Fill the decanter with water to the desired capacity (1 cup equals 5 ounces).

4. Pour the water into the water resen/oir. See Figure 7. Close the lid and
place the empty decanter onto the warming plate.

5. Press the SELECT button twice to set the coffeemaker to BREW ONLY.
The BREW ONLY light will turn on to signal that the coffeemaker is

brewing. The Audible Ready Signal will oeep three times when the brew
cycle is complete. The coffeemaker will automatically turn off after two
hours. The BREW ONLY light will remain on during this time.

Note: For your safety, if the lid is opened during the brew cycle, the
coffeemaker will turn itself off. If this happens, you must restart the
brew cycle by pressing the SELECT button twice.

6. Once you are done enjoying your coffee, discard the used grounds by

removing the grinding chamber assembly and lifting out the filter basket

Rinse the filter basket and replace it. See Figure 8.

7. To make another pot of coffee, turn the coffeemaker off by pressing the
SELECT button until all operating lights are off. Repeat Steps 1 through 6.

8. Be sure to turn your coffeemaker off when no longer using it. Simply

press the SELECT button until all operating lights are off.

Brewing Coffee Later: Using Pre-Ground Coffee

1. Set the Delay Brew Time (see page 8).

2. Follow Steps 1 through 4 in the “Brewing Coffee Now: Using Pre-Ground
Coffee" section on page 11.

3. Press the DELAY BREW button until it is flashing. Press the SELECT
button twice until the BREW ONLY light turns on and the DELAY BREW
light remains on but stops flashing The coffeemaker is now set to

automatically brew coffee at the pre-set tme. See Figure 9. You may
select the brew strength at this time.

Maintaining Your Coffeemaker

To Clean Mineral Deposits from your MR. COFFEE^Coffeemaker

Your coffeemaker may be cleaned by using MR. COFFEE® Cleaner or vinegar.

MR. COFFEE® Cleaner is available at many retail stores, online at mrcoffee.com,

or by calling the MR. COFFEE* Consumer Service Department at 1-800-MR COFFEE

(1-800-672-6333).

1. Follow package instructions to prepare one batch of MR. COFFEE®
Coffeemaker Cleaner. Pour the mixture into the water reservoir.
NOTE: 4 cups or 20 fl. oz. of undiluted, white household vinegar may
be used as a substitute for the cleaner.

2. Place an empty MR. COFFEE® 8-12 cup basket-style paper filter or
MR. COFFEE®permanent filter into the filter basket and close.

3. Place the empty decanter back in the unit, centered under the brew
basket.

4. Brew three cups of cleaning solution through the coffeemaker.

5. Turn the coffeemaker off and let stand for 30 minutes.

6. Run the remainder of the cleaning solution through the coffeemaker.

7. Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the decanter thoroughly with

clean water.

8. Remove and discard the filter used during the cleaning cycle. If a MR.

COFFEE® permanent filter was used during cleaning, remove it and
rinse it thoroughly.

9. Fill the water reservoir with clean, fresh water.

10. Place the empty decanter back on the coffeemaker, centered under the
brew basket.

11. Begin brewing and allow the full brew cycle to complete.

12. Repeat Steps 8 through 11 one more time.

Your coffeemaker is now clean and ready to brew the next pot of delicious,

hot coffee!

Cleaning the Grinding Chamber Assembly

The grinding chamber assembly can be cleaned using a mild detergent.
It is also top rack dishwasher safe. For best results, clean the grinding
chamber assembly after each use.

Cleaning the Decanter

Hard water can leave a whitish stain on the decanter, and coffee may

then turn this stain brown.

To remove decanter stains:

1. Fill the decanter with a solution of equal parts water and vinegar and let
the solution stand in the decanter for approximately 20 minutes.

2. Discard the solution then wash and rinse the decanter.

Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners that may scratch the decanter; scratches

may cause the decanter to break.

Your MR. COFFEE® Coffeemaker has been carefully designed to give you
many years of trouble-free service. In the unlikely event that your new coffeemaker

does not operate satisfactorily, please review the following potential problems

Replacement Parts

♦ Fillers - For better tasting coffee, we recommend that you use a MR.COFFEE* brand

8-12 cup basket paper filter or a MR. COFFEE* t^and permanent filter. 1bese filters
are available at most grocery stores.

* Decanters- You can usually purchase a replacement decanter from the store where

you purchased your coffeemaker. If you are unable to find a replacement, please visit
mrcoffee.com. or call 1-800-MR COFFEE (1-800-672-6333) in the U.S. or 1-800-667-8623
in Canada for information on where you can find a store that carries replacement decanters

Repairs

If your coffeemaker requires service, do not return it to the store where
you purchased it.

All repairs must be made by Sunbeam or by an authorized MR. COFFEE*

Sunteam Products. Inc., doing txjsinoss a$ harden Consumer Solutions in U.S.A. and Sunbeam
Conation (Canada) Limited, d/b/a Jarden Consumer Solutions in Canada warrants that for a
period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and

workmanship.Sunbeam. at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the

product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or
remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be
made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exdusive warranty from
Sunbeam.

Cuidado de la Jarra

Instrucciones Especiales Sobre el Cordel Eléctrico

1. Se provee un cordel eléctrico corto para disminuir los riesgos de que una
persona o mascota se pudieran enredar o tropezar con un cordel mas
largo.

2. Se puede adquirir y utilizar una extensión eléctrica si se usa con precaución.

3. Si se utiliza una extensión eléctrica, la calificación eléctrica rotulada de
la extensión debe ser de al menos 10 amperios y 120 voltios. El cordel
extendido resultante debe acomodarse para que no cuelgue del borde
de un mostrador o mesa donde pueda ser tirado por ñiños o donde se
pueda tropezar con él accidentalmente.

Esta unidad cuenta con un enchufe polarizado (uno de sus contactos es más ancho
que el otro). Para disminuir el riesgo de una descarga eléctrica, este enchufe sólo

Introducción

Gracias por seleccionar la Cafetera MR.COFFEE* para Moler y Preparar 12 Tazas de
Café con una moledora de café integrada. La Cafetera MR. COFFEE* automáticamente
muele los granos y deposita el café molido en el filtro antes de comenzar el cido de

colar. El Reloj Programmable puede programarse hasta 24 horas por adelantado para

moler los granos y preparar café fresco automáticamente a cuatiquier hora del dia.
La Cafetera MR. COFFEE* también cuenta con una válvula Pause 'n Serve (Detenga y

Sírvase) para detener el goteo, activada por la tapa, cuya válvula le ortorga hasta 30
segundos para servtse una tacita mientras el café aún se está colando, además de un
sistema de apagado automático de dos horas fTwo-hour Automatic Shut-OfT) y un sis

Limpie Su Cafetera Antes de Utilizarla Por
Primera Vez

Asegúrese de que su primera taza de café sea tan buena como sea posible
limpiando su Cafetera MR. COFFEE<9 para Moler y Preparar Cafe antes de
utilizaría por primera vez. Sólo tiene que seguir estos pasos sencillos:

1. Saque el conjunto removible de la cámara moledora. Para sacar el
conjunto, agarre ambos lados de la cámara moledora justo por debajo
de la tapa y levante hacia arriba y hacia fuera de la cafetera.

2. Lave la tapa de la jarra y el conjunto de la cámara moledora en una

mezcla de detergente suave y agua. Enjuague bien ambos (favor referirse
al diagrama de las partes que se encuentra en la página 23). La tapa de
la jarra y el conjunto de la cámara moledora ambos se pueden lavar en
el escurridor superior del lavaplatos.

3. Sustituya todas las piezas y cierre la tapa. Luego siga los Pasos 3 al 5
en la sección ‘Colando Café Ahora: Utilizando Café Molido* en la página
28 para limpiar el interior de su cafetera.

4. Cuando concluya el colado, apague su cafetera. Descarte el agua en la
jarra y enjuague ésta, la tapa, la canasta del filtro y el conjunto de la

cámara moledora.

Su cafetera ya está lista para utilizarse.

¡Advertencial No saque el conjunto de la camara moledora

asiéndolo por el canal irrigador. Este ultimo

Características de la Cafetera

Su nueva Cafetera MR. COFFEE®cuenta con las siguientes características:

Canasta Removible del Filtro - La canasta del filtro se saca del interior

de la canasta de colado para un limpiado y llenado fácil y rápido.
Cámara Moledora Removible - La cámara moledora se saca de la

cafetera para permitirle limpiarla luego de su uso.
Pause 'n Serve (Detenga y Sírvase) - ¿No puede esperar a que el

café termine de colarse? Pause ‘n Serve le otorga hasta 30 segundos
para servirse una taza de café mientras la cafetera aún está colando.

Ventanilla Doble del Nivel de Agua -Muestra la cantidad de agua en
el tanque para un llenado preciso.

Selector de Intensidad del Colado -Ajusta el período de colado para
preparar un café más cargado o intenso.

jarra de café recién colado? La función de Demora del Colado le

permite programar de antemano cuándo desearía que la cafetera
cuele su café automáticamente, hasta 24 horas por adelantado.

- Apagado Automático en Dos Horas - Mantiene su café caliente
durante dos horas, y luego se apaga automáticamente.

• "Power Loss Backup" (sistema de respaldo en caso de apagón
eléctrico) - Si ocurre un apagón, el reloj retendrá su memoria por
hasta cinco minutos, por cuanto no hace falta volver a programar
la hora del reloj o el control de demora del colado luegode un
apagón breve.

ADVERTENCIA: Si usted selecciona cualquiera de las funciones de realizar

Programando la Hora del Reloj y el Periodo de
Demora del Colado

Para programar la hora del reloj:

1. Enchufe el cordel eléctrico en un tomacorríente estándar.

2. Oprima y mantenga oprimidos tos botones de HOUR (HORA) y MINUTE
(MINUTO) hasta que el reloj marque la hora actual. Para su conveniencia,

se proveen indicadores de AM y PM en la pantalla del panel de controles

Para programar el periodo de demora del colado:

Tan sólo oprima y mantenga oprimido el botón de SET DELAY (FIJAR
DEMORA) mientras programa la hora de! colado con tos botones HOUR
(HORA) y MINUTE (MINUTO) hasta que llegue a la hora en que desea que
el café se cuele. La pantalla del panel de controles indicará la hora de
colado AM o PM que usted ha seleccionado. Vea la Figura 1.

SI usted desea un café con sabor más fuerte, oprima el botón selector de BREW
STRENGTH (INTENSIDAD DEL COLADO) una sola vez luego de seleccionar
MOLER & COLAR O SÓLO COLAR. La luz de INTENSIDAD DEL COLADO se

encenderá cuando el control esté programado.

Colando Cafe Ahora:

Utilizando Granos Frescos

1. Oprima el botion que se encuentra el frente de la cafetera para abrir su tapa.
Saque el conjunto removible de la cámara moledora (vea el ffl en la pág. 22).

Inserte un filtro de papel para 8-12 lazas marca MR. COFFEEso un filtro
permanente marca MR. COFFEEifen la canasta del filtro. Para un resultado

idóneo moje los bordes del filtro de papel y presiónelos contra los lados de la
canasta del filtro para evitar que el filtro se colapse. Ponga la canasta del filtro
y el conjunto de la cámara moledora de vuelta en su lugar.

6. La cafetera comenzará a colar automáticamente cuando haya terminado de moler,
según k) indica el encendido de la luz de SOLO COLAR. La Señal Audible de
Café Listo timbrará tres veces para alertarte cuando haya concluido el dclo de

colar. La cafetera se apagará sola automáticamente luego de dos horas. La luz
de SÓLO COLAR permanecerá encendida durante este periodo.

7. Luego de que haya disfrutado de su café, abra la tapa de la cafetera y saque el

conjunto de la cámara moledora (vea la página 231. Enjuáguelo para remover
cualquier residuo de café restante. El conjunto de la cámara moledora se puede
lavar en el escurridor superior del lavaplatos. Vea la Figura 4.

8. Descarte la borra o harina de café usada sacando la canasta del filtro. Vea la
Figura 5. Enjuague la canasta del filtro y reemplácela en su lugar. La canasta del
filtro se puede lavar en el escurridor superior del lavaplatos.

ADVERTENCIA; Cuando abra la tapa de la cafetera, el Plato Calefactor se apagara.

9. Para preparar otra jarra de café, apague la cafetera oprimiendo el boton de SELECT
hasta que todas las luces de operaciones se apaguen. Repita ios Pasos 1 al 8.

10. Asegúrese de apagar su cafetera cuando deje de utilizarla. Tan solo oprima el

botón de SELECT hasta que todas las luces de operaciones se apaguen.

Colando Café Luego:

Utilizando Granos Frescos

1. Programe el Periodo de Demora del Colado (vea la página 25).

2. Siga los Pasos 1 al 4 en la sección “Colando Cafe Ahora: Utilizando Granos
Frescos” en la página 26.

ADVERTENCIA: Si usted abre la tapa luego de programar la función de Demora

del Colado, esto cancelará dicha función.

3. Oprima el botón de OELAY BREW (DEMORA DEL COLADO) hasta que esté
parpadeando. Oprima el botón de SELECT una vez hasta que la luz de MOLER
Y COLAR se endenda y la luz de DEMORA DEL COLADO se mantenga encer>dida
pero deje de parpadear. Ya la cafetera está lista para moler y colar café
automáticamente a la hora programada. Vea la Figura 6. Usted puede seleccionar
la intensidad del cafe colado en este momento.

4. En el momento deseado para el colado, la luz de DEMORA DEL COLADO se
apagará y la luz de MOLER Y COLAR se encenderá. La cafetera comenzará a

moler el café. Cuando termine de moler, la luz de MOLER Y COLAR se apagará

y la luz de SÓLO COLAR se encenderá, indicando que la cafetera está colando.

5. La Señal Audible de Café Listo timbrará tres veces cuando haya concluido el
ciclo de colar. La cafetera se apagará sola automáticamente luego de dos horas.
La luz de SÓLO COLAR permanecerá encendida durante este período.

6. Esta cafetera no volverá a encenderse automáticamente el próximo día.
Para reprogramar la función de DEMORA DEL COLADO, repita los Pasos 2 al

3 antedichos.

ADVERTENCIA; Para su seguridad, sí la tapa se abre durante el ciclo de moler
o de colar, la cafetera se apagará sola. Si esto sucede, usted deberá reiníciar
el ciclo de moler oprimiendo el botón de SELECT una vez o reiníciar el ciclo
de colar oprimiendo el botón de SELECT dos veces.

Colando Café Ahora:

Utilizando Café Molido

1. Oprima el botón que se encuentra el frente de la cafetera para abrir su tapa.
Saque el conjunto removible de la cámara moledora (vea el # 1 en la pág. 22)

e inserte un filtro de papel para 8-12 tazas marca MR. COFFEE® o un filtro

permanente marca MR. CÓFFEE® en la canasta del filtro. Para un resultado
idóneo moje los bordes del filtro de papel para evitar que el líquido se desborde.

2. Añada la cantidad deseada de café molido y sacuda éste levemente para nivelarlo.
Vea la Tabla de Medidas de Café Sugeridas en la página 25. Asegúrese de que
el filtro de papel esté centrado correctamente. Ponga la canasta del filtro y el
conjunto de la cámara moledora de vuelta en su lugar.

3. Llene la jarra con agua hasta la cantidad deseada (1 taza es igual a 5 onzas).

4. Vierta el agua en el tanque de agua. Vea la Figura 7. Cierre la tapa y coloque
la jarra vacía sobre el plato caleractor.

5. Oprima el botón de SELECT (SELECCIONAR) dos veces para activar la función
de SÓLO COLAR en la cafetera. Usted puede seleccionar la intensidad del café

4. En el momento deseado para el colado, la luz de AUTO START/DEMORA DEL
COLADO se encenderá y la cafetera comenzara a colar el caf e.

5. La Señal Audible de Caf e Listo timbrára tres veces cuando haya conduido el

Para reprogramar la función de DEMORA DEL COLADO, repita los Pasos 1 al

ADVERTENCIA: Para su seguridad, si la tapa se abre durante el ciclo de moler

o de colar, la cafetera se apagará sola. SI esto sucede, usted deberá reiniciar
el ciclo de moler oprimiendo el boton de SELECT una vez o reiniciar el ciclo
de colar oprimiendo el boten de SELECT dos veces.

Dándole Mantenimiento a su Cafetera

Cómo Limpiar ios Depósitos Mineraies en su Cafetera MR. COFFEE’^

Su cafetera puede ser limpiada utilizando el limpiador MR. COFFEE® o vinagre. El
limpiador MR. COFFEE® está disponible en muchas tiendas de ventas detallistas
o llamando al Departamento de Servicios al Consumidor de MR. COFFEE® al 1 •
800-MR COFFEE (1-800-672-6333).

1. Siga las instrucciones en el paquete para preparar una porción de limpiador
de cafeteras MR. COFFEE®. Vierta la mezcla en el tanque de agua.

ADVERTENCIA; Se puede utilizar 4 tazas o 20 onzas fluidas de vinagre

blanco doméstico sin diluir como sustituto para el limpiador.

2. Coloque un filtro de papel tipo canasta para 8-12 tazas MR. COFFEE®, vacío,
o un filtro permanente MR. COFFEE® en la canasta del filtro y cierre la tapa.

3. Coloque la jarra vacía de vuelta en la unidad, centrada bajo la canasta de
colar.

4. Cuele tres tazas de la solución limpiadora a través de la cafetera.

5. Apague la cafetera y déjela reposar durante 30 minutos.

6. Circule el remanente de la solución limpiadora a través de la cafetera.

7. Descarte la solución limpiadora y enjuague bien la jarra con agua limpia.

8. Saque y descarte el filtro utilizado durante el cido de limpieza. Si se utilizó
un filtro permanente MR. COFFEE® durante la limpieza, sáquelo y enjuáguelc
bien.

9. Llene el tanque de agua con agua fresca y limpia.

10. Coloque la jarra vacä de vuelta en la cafetera, centrada bajo la canasta de
colar.

11. Comience a colar y permita que concluya el cido de colar completo.

12. Repita los Pasos8al11 una vez más.

Cómo Lavar la Jarra

El agua dura puede dejar una mancha blancuzca en la jarra, y el café y el té pueden
hacer que esta mancha se torne marrón.

Para eliminar las manchas en la jarra:

1. Llene la jarra con una solución compuesta de partes iguales de agua y vinagre
y deje reposar por aproximadamente 20 minutos.

2. Descarte la solución, y luego lave y enjuague la jarra.
No utilice limpiadores fuertes abrasivos que puedan rasguñar la jarra, los rasguños

pueden hacer que la jarra se quiebre.
