Important Safety Insructions
Warning
• Do not heat any substances above temperature which will
cause hazards of explosion, implosion or release of toxic or
flammable gases arising from the materials being heated.
Do not use in the presence of flammable or combustible
•
materials or explosive gases.
Do not use in the presence of pressurized or sealed
containers.
Fire or explosion may result causing severe injury or death.
•
To avoid elecrical shock, always use a properly grounded
electrical outlet of correct voltage and current handling
capacity.
The user has the responsibility for carrying out appropriate
•
decontamination, if hazardous material is split on or inside
the equipment.
•
When removing the cover, attention should be paid to sudden
release of hot vapors.
• Don’t fill the bath up to the edge
damage of boiling water eruption.
Before using any cleaning or decontamination method,
•
except those recommended by the manufacturer, users should
check with the manufacturer that the proposed method will
not damage the equipment.
•
The user shall be aware that, if the equipment is used in a
manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection
provided by the equipment may be impaired.
The instrument should be placed so, that handy operation of

the ON-OFF SWITCH is possible.
of the tank, in order to avoid

Operating Insructions:
1. Connect the instrument to a grounded mains outlet, after
ensuring that the Voltage is the same as stated on the name
plate. The instrument must be connected to an earthed
(grounded) supply.
Secure the instrument to the Bath using the fixing bow.
2.
The instrument can also be secured to a laboratory stand by
screwing the fixing rod into the threaded hole of the fixing
bow (see page 3).
Use only distilled or soft water, to avoid build-up of scale on
3.
the heating element. Do not use inflammable liquids.
With model
,&'
the minimal water level must be about
3cm above the holes near the pump housing.
The two spring clamps are intended for fixing of a reference

thermometer.
Switch the instrument on and adjust the required temperature

Press to lower the setpoint.
The new setpoin is antered when the button is released and
is indicated by a brief flash of the display. .
When the heating element is in action, the red pilot lamp
lights in accordance with the switching of the thermostat.
6. With model ,&' the flow can be reduced by pressing a
plastic or rubber hose mounted on the jet nozzle, with the
help of a clamp.
6. The circulation pump of model ,&'
allows also the
circultion of temperature controlled water to instruments
outside the baths.
In these instances it is imperative that the water is returned
to the bath, preferably in the vicinity of the heating element.
7. Temperature range: Slightly above ambient up to +100˚
With external cooling, this can be extended to +5˚
100˚c for model
,&'.
c up to

8. SAFETY: The instrumentes equipped with an additional
safety Cut-Off, preventing element burn-out, if the water
level falls.
To reset- push the brown knob on the rear of the instrument.
The instruments do not require any maintenance, except the
9.
periodic removal of scale on the pump and heating element.
The pump housing can easily be cleaned by removing the
three screws at the bottles of the pump housing.
11.After removing the instrument from water, the pump
should be placed down-water (to avoid water penetration).
12.The instrument should not be used where danger of
explosion exists.
