IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When installing or using the lamp, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

2. WARNING – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR INJURY:
CAUTION - HOT SURFACE. KEEP AWAY FROM CURTAINS AND OTHER COMBUSTIBLE
MATERIALS.
3. TURN OFF ELECTRICAL POWER BEFORE RELAMPING.
LAMP GETS HOT QUICKLY! DO NOT TOUCH LAMP, HOT LAMP LENS, GUARD OR
ENCLOSURE AT ANY TIME. USE A SOFT CLOTH. OIL FROM SKIN MAY DAMAGE LAMP.
CAUTION: TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO
WIDE SLOT, FULLY INSERT.
RISK OF FIRE/INJURY TO PERSONS. KEEP AWAY FROM COMBUSTIBLES.
UNPLUG TO CHANGE THE BULB. DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB.
Assembly Instructions
1. Screw the included 15 or 25 watt bulb gently into the bulb socket.
2. Press the springs around the bulb holder together and insert the holder into the core of the lamp. Make sure that the
bulb is positioned in the centre of the core (not touching the side of the lamp). Also ensure that the bottom of the
bulb holder is at the bottom of the core (not pushed in too far).
3. Warning: Ensure the cord runs through one of the grooves on the wooden base and plug into a 120V outlet.
4. Warning: Ensure any cardboard protection around the bulb is removed before inserting into the lamp.
How to Care for the Lamp
1. Salt has hygroscopic properties, which means that it draws water from the surrounding atmosphere. Salt Crystal
Lamps should therefore never be sprinkled with water.
2. Keep in a dry environment at all times.
3. Lamp should not be placed outdoors. Sometime, in particularly moist or humid conditions, the lamp surface may be
slightly damp to the touch. Lighting it for a few hours dries it completely.
4. It is recommended that you keep your lamp turned on every day for the best air purifying results. You can leave
your lamp on for as long as possible. This will repel excess moisture build up around the lamp.
5. If you plan not to use the lamp for long periods of time, just cover the lamp with a plastic bag as protection from
humid conditions.
6. Place the lamp on a protective surface to protect against humid conditions.
7. To remove dust, use only a damp (not soaking wet) cotton cloth or sponge.
8. If bulb must be replaced, use a 15 or 25 watt candelabra base incandescent bulb. Colour bulbs may also be used.
9. To remove the cord, please pull slowly out from the lamp. Fittings on the cord can move quickly and shatter the
bulb.
Warning: Keep out of reach of children.
CAUTION: LAMPS ARE MEANT FOR INDOOR USE ONLY. AS NATURAL SALT ABSORBS MOISTURE
EASILY, UNDER NORMAL TO MILD CONDITIONS, LAMP SHOULD REMAIN ON AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.
DO NOT USE LAMPS FOR OUTDOOR PURPOSES. IF AT ANY TIME WATER DROPLETS START
FORMING ON THE BASE OF THE LAMP, SWITCH IT OFF. DRY THE LAMP AND STORE IN AN AIRTIGHT PLASTIC BAG. WAIT FOR DRY / SEMI-HUMID CONDITIONS BEFORE RE-USING.

PROTECTEUR OU L’ENCEINTE N’IMPORTE QUAND. UTILISER UN LINGE DOUX. LES SÉCRÉTIONS
HUILEUSES DE LA PEAU PEUVENT ENDOMMAGER LA LAMPE.
ATTENTION: POUR ÉVITER UN CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE, PRÉSENTER LA LAME
LARGE À LA FENTE LARGE ET POUSSER JUSQU’AU FOND.
RISQUE D’INCENDIE/DES BLESSURES AUX PERSONNES. GARDER LOIN DES
MATÉRIAUX COMBUSTIBLES. DÉBRANCHER L’APPAREIL DE LA PRISE
ÉLECTRIQUE AVANT DE REMPLACER L’AMPOULE. NE PAS TOUCHER L’AMPOULE.
Instructions d’assemblage
1. Visser l’ampoule de 15 ou 25 watts doucement dans le culot.
2. Fermer les ressorts autour du support d’ampoule et insérer le support dans la base de la lampe. S’assurer que
l’ampoule est bien au milieu du trou et ne touche pas la paroi de la lampe. De plus, s’assurer que le bas du support
de l’ampoule est au bas du trou et pas inséré trop profondément.
3. Avertissement: s’assurer de faire passer le cordon dans un sillon de la base et le brancher dans une prise de 120V.
4. Avertissement: s’assurer de n’enlever aucune protection en carton autour de l'ampoule avant d'insérer dans la lampe.
Comment entretenir la lampe
1. Le sel a des propriétés hygroscopiques car il attire l’eau de l’air ambiant. Les lampes de cristal de sel ne devraient
donc jamais être arrosées de gouttes d’eau.
2. Conserver au sec en tout temps.
3. Ne pas mettre la lampe à l’extérieur. Parfois, dans les conditions très humides, la surface de la lampe peut devenir
légèrement humide. L’allumer pendant quelques heures la sèche complètement.
4. Il est recommandé de garder votre lampe allumée chaque jour pour le meilleur effet de purification d’air. Vous
pouvez laisser la lampe allumée aussi longtemps que possible. Ceci aidera à empêcher qu’un excédent d’humidité
ne s’accumule à la surface de la lampe.
5. Si on prévoit ne pas utiliser la lampe pendant des périodes prolongées, couvrir la lampe débranchée avec un sac de
plastique pour la protéger de l’humidité.
6. Placer la lampe sur une surface protectrice pour prévenir l’effet de l’humidité.
7. Pour épousseter, utiliser un linge légèrement humide.
8. Pour remplacer l’ampoule, utiliser une ampoule incandescente à candélabre de 15 ou 25 watts. On peut aussi
employer des ampoules de couleur.
9. Pour enlever le cordon, veuillez le retirer lentement de la lampe. Les raccords du cordon peuvent se déplacer
rapidement et faire éclater l’ampoule.
Attention: garder hors d’atteinte des enfants.
ATTENTION: LES LAMPES SONT CONÇUES POUR ÊTRE UTILISÉES SEULEMENT À L’INTÉRIEUR. PARCE
QUE LE SEL ABSORBE FACILEMENT L’HUMIDITÉ, LA LAMPE DEVRAIT ÊTRE ALLUMÉE LE PLUS
LONGTEMPS POSSIBLE EN CONDITIONS NORMALES OU LÉGÈREMENT HUMIDES. NE PAS UTILISER À
L’EXTÉRIEUR. SI DES GOUTTELETTES SE FORMENT EN TOUT TEMPS À LA BASE DE LA LAMPE,
L’ÉTEINDRE, PUIS LA SÉCHER ET L’ENTREPOSER DANS UN CONTENANT ÉTANCHE. ATTENDRE DES
CONDITIONS SÈCHES OU LÉGÈREMENT HUMIDES AVANT D’UTILISER LA LAMPE DE NOUVEAU.
