Apps are great. There's something for everyone. Play,
communicate, work, or have fun. But remember, choose
your apps carefully. Here are a few tips:
• To help prevent spyware, phishing, or viruses from
affecting your phone or privacy, use apps from trustedsites, like
Market
•In
before installing.
•Ifyou doubt the safety of an app, don't install it.
•Like all apps, downloadedapps will use upmemory,
data, battery, and processing power—somemorethanothers. For example,a simple battery level widget will use less than a streamingmusic player app. After installing an app, ifyou're nothappy with how much memory, data, battery orprocessing power it's using, uninstall it. You can alwaysinstall it again later.
•Just like web browsing, you maywantto monitor
children’s access to apps to help prevent exposure toinappropriate content.
•Certain apps may not provide completely accurate
information. Take care, especially when it comes to
personal health.

Your Motorola mobiledevice is designed to complywith national and international regulatoryrequirements. For fullcompliance statements anddetails, pleaserefer to theregulatoryinformationin yourprinted product guide.
Specific Absorption Rate (FCC & IC)
SAR (IEEE)
YOUR MOBILE DEVICE MEETS FCCAND IC LIMITS FOREXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES.
Yourmobiledevice is a radiotransmitter andreceiver. It isdesignednot to exceed the limitsfor exposure to radio waves (radio frequency electromagneticfields) adoptedbythe FederalCommunicationsCommission (FCC) and Industry Canada (IC). These limits include a substantial safetymargin designed to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and
health.
The radio wave exposure guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific
Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 1.6 W/kg.
Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions with the device transmitting
at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. The highest SAR values
under the FCC and IC guidelines for your device model are listed below:
Head SAR CDMA1900,
Bod
y-worn SAR CDMA 1900, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.45 W/kg
Duringuse, theactual SAR valuesfor your device are usually wellbelow the values stated. This is because, for purposes of system efficiency andtominimize interference on thenetwork, theoperating power of your mobile device isautomaticallydecreased when fullpower is not needed for the call. The lower the power output of the device, the lower its SARvalue.Ifyou are interested in further reducing your RF exposure then you can easily do soby limiting your usage or simply usingahands-free kit tokeep thedeviceaway from the head and body.Additionalinformation canbe found at

Some Motorolaphones are measuredfor compatibility with hearing aids.If the boxfor your particularmodelhas “Rated forHearing Aids” printedon it, thefollowingexplanationapplies. When some mobile phones areused near some hearing devices (hearing aids andcochlear implants),usersmay detect a buzzing, humming, or whining noise. Some hearing devicesare more immunethan others to thisinterference noise, and phones also vary inthe amount of interference theygenerate.Thewireless telephone industry has developed ratings forsomeoftheir mobile phones, toassisthearingdeviceusers infinding phones thatmaybe compatible with their hearing devices. Not all phones have been rated. Phones that are rated have the rating on their box ora label on the box.Tomaintain the published Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) ratingfor thismobile phone, use only theoriginalequipment batterymodel. This phone hasbeentested and ratedfor use withhearing aidsfor some of thewirelesstechnologies thatit uses. However, there may besomenewer wireless technologies usedinthisphone thathave not beentested yet for usewith hearing aids. It is important to try the different features of thisphone thoroughlyand in different locations, using your hearing aid or cochlearimplant, to determineif you hear any interfering noise. Contact yourservice provider or Motorola for information on hearing aidcompatibility. If you have questions about return or exchange policies, contact yourservice provider or phone retailer. The ratings are not guarantees. Results will vary depending onthe user’s hearingdevice andhearing loss. If your hearing device happens to be vulnerable to interference, you may not beable to usearatedphone successfully. Trying out the phone with your hearing device isthe
best way to evaluate it for your personal needs.
M-Ratings:
Phones rated M3 or M4 meet FCC requirements and are likely to generate less
interference to hearing devices than phones that are not labeled. M4 is the better/higher of
the two ratings.
40Safety, Regulatory & Legal
T-Ratings:
Phones rated T3 or T4 meet FCC requirements and are likely to be more usable
with a hearing device’s telecoil (“T Switch” or “Telephone Switch”) than unrated phones. T4
is the better/higher of the two ratings. (Note that not all hearing devices have telecoils in
them.)
Hearing devices may also be measured for immunity to this type of interference. Your hearing
device manufacturer or hearing health professional may help you find results for your hearing
device. The more immune your hearing aid is, the less likely you are to experience
interference noise from mobile phones.
