Your phone
Most of what you need is in the touchscreen and four simple keys on the front:
Menu: Open menu options.
Home: Go to the home screen and apps menu.
Back: Go back one screen.
Search: Press for text search, or hold for voice search.
If you want a full keypad (good for texting, browsing, or searching in your Contacts list), just turn the phone—the screen spins to stay right-side up.
To open the touchscreen key pad, touch a te xt field, or press and hold Menu . To close the keypad, press Back .

Tip: Your phone comes with a microSD memory card already installed. Make sure it’s inserted.

The first time you turn on your phone, a setup wizard guides you through signing in to your Gmail™ account. If
you don’t have one, don’t worry, the wizard will help you create one.
After you log in to Gmail, y ou can se t up so cial n etwo rking, or you can do it later.
Note: T his phone supports data-intensiv e apps and services. It is strongly recommended that you purchase a data plan that meets your need s. Contact your service provider for details.

Touch: Choose an ic on or option.
Touch & Hold: Open options.
Drag: Scroll or move slowly.
Flick: Scroll or move quickly.
Pinch-to-zoom:Get a closer look at Google Maps™,
web pages, or photos.
Home scre e n
The hom e scre en gives you all your latest information in one place. It’s what you see when you t urn on the phone or press Home from a menu.
Use the widgets, shortcuts and panels to see what’s important to you—whether it’s home, work or play. To make the home screen yours, see “Personalize”.
Persona lize
Go ahead, add your personal touch. Change your widgets, wallpaper, ringtone, and more—make it yours.
Home screen: To add something or change your wallpaper, touch and hold an empty spot until you se e the Add to Home screen menu.
Ringtones & sounds: Press Menu > Settings > Sound & display > Phone ringtone or Notification ringtone.

Apps
You can find all of your apps in on e place. F rom th e home screen, just touch or press Home to open and close the app menu.
Tip: To find an app in the menu, press Search to open a keypad, then type the app name.

Calls
Your dial pad a nd c all lis ts a re jus t a to uch or two a w a y—no menus needed. Just touch Phone in the home screen.
Tip: During a call, press Home or Back to hide the active call display and use other apps. To reopen it, touch Phone.
Contacts
Now you hav e co ntacts like you’v e never had before, downloaded from your accounts and backed up on the Google™ Server . View, search, and use them your way. Just touch Contacts in the home screen.
Tip: When you flick or drag this list, a scroll bar appears on the right. Drag the scroll bar to mo ve the list faster. To search the list, just press Search and type a name.
DLNA™ sharing
Share your media content—photos, videos, and tunes—with your friends and family over any DLNA™ certified device on your home network.
Just connect to your Wi-Fi® network (see “Wireless”), then touch > DLNA. Select wh at you w ant to do, and follow the instructions you see on your phone.
Messages
All of your messages stay in one place—text, email, Facebook, and more. Touch > Messaging > Universal Inbox.
Tip: To type in a message, touch a text field to open the touchscr een keypad.
Media
See it, capture it, share it! Then, relax with some music.
Photos: Touch > Camera. To take the photo, press the Camera key (on the side of your phone).
Videos: Touch > Camcorder. To record the video, press the Camera key. To stop the video recording, press the Camera key again.
To see the photos and videos you’ve taken, touch > Gallery.
Music: T ouc h > Music to open y our musi c library and select what you want to play.
Web & maps
Browse, downlo ad, and s earch (of course). FInd out where you are or where you’re going.
Browser: Touch > Browser and surf using the super fast 3G and Wi-Fi® connections.
Google Maps: T ouch > Maps to use the Google Maps you know and love.
Note: You might not have some features. For details, ask your service provider.
Wireless
Lose the wires—press Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks.
Bluetooth®: For handsfree calls and wireless music, touch Bluetooth settings and conn ect to your accessory.
Wi-Fi®: For fast internet access, touch Wi-Fi settings and connect to a home, office, or hotspot network. For connection details, press Menu > Advanced.

Sleep/wake phone: Press Power/Lock .
Set screen timeout: Press Menu > Settings
> Sound & display > Screen timeout.
See Recent Apps: Press and hold Home .
Turn Sound On/Off: Press and hold Power/Lock
> Silent mode.
Search: Touch Search .
