K9 Express - User Instructions
Congratulations on your purchase of a K9 Express Steamer
K9 is our most compact steamer yet but this is no puppy!
It delivers the same bite as its big brother, the Vitesse, (using identical key components) but
at a budget price and with a little less sophistication as the controls are much simpler to use.
K9 is hot stuff! Its powerful 1400-watt heating element takes only 1 minute to produce
steam and can work for over 2 hours without any attention from the doctor!
And with K9 there is no doubt who is the boss - it follows your every move on its easy glide
castors and you always know if it needs more water with the clear valve-operated water bottle.
It also features an automatic cut-out if the water runs out. K9’s tough, aluminium body
is resistant to knocks yet weighs only 7.5kgs (16
1
/2lbs).
Features a 1.7m (5ft 6ins) long cable with fitted plug.
Important
● K9 just can’t wait to lick your garments into shape
but please read all instructions in this manual
before using and installing your steamer
● Use K9 only as described in this manual - Morplan
cannot take responsibility for any accidents or injuries
caused by not following this manual correctly
Assembling your K9 steamer
● Screw together the 3 section support pole and
then screw this into the top of the steamer
● Rest the steam head in its cradle at the top of the support pole
● Rotate the locking collar on the steam outlet fully clockwise
(the outlet is below the power switch on top of the machine).
Push the steam hose in place and twist the locking collar
anti-clockwise to lock it into position
● If you would like your K9 Steamer to sport a cheeky face
(as shown right) take the adhesive label supplied and
apply it to your water bottle before use
● Fill the water bottle with fresh tap water and place it on
top of the steamer with the valve facing downwards
● Plug into the mains supply (ensuring you have the correct
corresponding voltage) and turn the steamer switch to the
ON position. You will have steam within 1 minute
When steaming:
● To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from the steam vents, check the
steamer before each use by holding the steam head away from your body and operating it
● Touch material lightly with the steam head and creases will come out instantly
● Creases are forced out of fabric more easily by steaming in a downward motion
● Always keep the steam head upright - this allows any condensed water to return
to the boiler and helps prevent any spitting or water discharge
● If you are steaming in a low position near the floor, straighten the hose upwards
and outwards frequently to keep it clear of condensation
User Safety
● Use caution, as burns could occur from touching hot parts, hot water
or steam
● Always steam away from the body and keep your free hand clear
● Do not steam onto your hand without a glove or pressing mitten
● Never point the steam head at
other people
● If the steam head is kinked
or is gurgling, straighten the
hose to let any water flow
back to the boiler
● Never allow the steamer to
boil dry as this may trip the
thermostatic fuse, which
will then require
professional repair
● Always unplug the
steamer from the
power supply before
filling, emptying or
cleaning it. Mop up
any water spillages
before connecting
to mains
● Always allow the steamer
to cool before emptying
as the water in the
reservoir may be hot
● Use clean water when
filling the water bottle
and never substitute the
steamer water bottle
● Remove hard water
deposits with fresh tap
water and open valves
HARD WATER CHECK
No two water supplies have
the same mineral content.
If the steamer begins to cut
on and off during normal use,
the thermostat is indicating
that the heating unit needs
the sediment cleaned out.
