Connect the speakers to main unit
1 Ensure the mains power is disconnected.
2 Connect the speaker wires between the main unit and the speakers.
Match the speaker wire to the appropriate terminal on the components:
(+) to (+) (colour), and (-) to (-) (black). (If the wires are reversed, the
sound will be distorted and will lack some tones.)
3 Hold down the terminal tab to insert each wire. Release the tab to lock
the wire into the terminal. Make sure the bare wire is fully inserted and
that the insulation reaches right up to the tab leaving no bare wire
visible.
•To avoid short-circuiting the speakers, make sure the the stripped end
of each speaker wire does not touch another terminal or another wire.
Connect to the wall socket
Plug the unit to a live wall outlet.
Aerial connection
Connect FM radio aerial plug to socket on back panel.
Backlight illumination in standby mode
Press any key (except ON/STANDBY) on the control panel or the remote
control (when unit in standby mode) and the backlight for the display
illuminates and stays for a 10-seconds for you to check the information on
the display.

How to set correct time (in standby mode)

How to preset the timer function (during operation)
With the unit working, press and hold CLK.ADJ to toggle between the

STOP button to stop playing the disc during CD playback.

RANDOM to enter random play mode in CD stop or CD play mode;
press again to exit this mode.
Intro button
Plays the first 10 seconds of each track. Press
mode in CD stop or CD play mode; press again to exit this mode. In
random playback, press this button to enter random intro mode.
Remain button

REMAIN to display the remaining playing time of the disc; press this
button again to cancel.

Digital tuner with RDS operation

TUNING SKIP/SEACH to manually tune the frequency.
TUNING SKIP/UP/DOWN for 2 seconds to automatically tune
the radio frequency. When the tuning goes to one station available,
broadcasting starts immediately.
To store the current radio station frequency:

control to select a memory position.

A total of 50 station frequencies can be stored in memory, 30 for FM, 20
for MW. The memory will be erased if the unit is unplugged.
RDS operation of digital tuner
When the radio stops at a radio station which supports RDS, the LCD
shows the radio name, program type and radio text step-by-step.
You can also select the displayed text by pressing the
display toggles as follows: Station nameProgram typeRadio

Press these buttons to increase or decrease the volume level. The volume
level can be changed from 0 - 30.
Mute button (remote control only)
Press this button to turn mute on or off. In mute on mode, the sound is
cut off.

Always use compact discs bearing the mark as shown.
Handling discs
When removing the disc from its storage case and loading it:
• Do not touch the reflective recorded surface.
• Do not stick paper or write anything on the surface.
• Do not bend the disc.
Storage
• Store the disc in its case.
• Do not expose discs to direct sunlight or high temperatures, high
humidity or dusty places.
Cleaning a disc
If there is a scratch, dirt or finger prints on the CD, it may cause tracking
errors. Before playing, clean the CD with a clean cloth. Wipe the CD from
the centre outwards. After playing, store the disc in its CD case.
• Never use benzene, thinners, record cleaner fluid or anti static spray.
• Be sure to close the CD door so the lens is not contaminated by dust.

accompanying the product.

Ventilation warning
The normal ventilation of the product shall not be impeded for intended
use.
Maintenance
Do not expose your cd micro system to extreme of temperatures. The
product should be kept in a warm environment free from dust and damp.
For external cleaning use only a soft, clean, damp cloth. Use of detergents
may damage the finish.
