USER SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT

Please read carefully before using the product

• The massager should not be applied if the following symptoms are present:Tuberculosis, benign and malignant tumors, haemorrhages, inflammations of the skin, phlebitis and thrombosis, open and fresh wounds, bruises, broken skin or varicose veins.

• Consult a doctor before using if you are pregnant, diabetic, ill or have any therapeutic questions regarding its use.

• Do not use directly on the spine or breasts.

• Do not use around the thyroid gland (just below the adams’s apple), at the back of the head or on joints.

• Do not use on any unexplained pain before consulting your doctor.

• Do not apply the unit to wounded, inflamed, blistered or sunburnt skin.

• Disconnect the product from mains supply when not in use or when cleaning.

• Do not cover the product at any time whilst connected to the mains supply.

• Do not take this product into a bathroom, near a water basin or leave in direct sunlight.

• It is recommended that this appliance should not be used by children.

• The appliance is suitable for use on 230 volts AC only.

• The massage should feel pleasant and comfortable. If pain or discomfort occurs discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.

• Never operate the appliance if it has a damaged cord, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged.

• Only use this appliance for its intended use as described in this manual.

CAUTION : Do not use if sores or lumps are present, or following any type of head injury or operation. Consult a doctor for re-ocurring headaches.

It is in your interest to retain the retailers receipt as proof of purchase. Please quote the model number if the product develops a fault. This number can be found on the base of the product.

All Morphy Richards products are individually tested before leaving the factory. In the unlikely event of any appliance proving to be faulty within 28 days of purchase it should be returned to the place of purchase for it to be replaced.

If a fault develops after 28 days and within 24 months of original purchase, you should contact the helpline number quoting the model number of the product, or write to the address below. You will be asked to return the product (in secure packaging) to the address below along with a copy of proof of purchase.

Thank you for buying your new Essentials body massager from Morphy Richards. Please read these instructions carefully before use and keep in a safe place for future reference.

Massage (can be used with or without heat)

1 Slide the variable heat and massage switch to the

desired setting Massage, Infra red heat or infra-red

with massage and begin treatment. Massage offers a powerful yet gentle massage. Infra-red heat treatment offers a warm, soothing

sensation, that is excellent for over worked and sore muscles.

Switch the massager to the off position after treatment.

Y our skin may become slightly red and warm after treatment (which indicates that the blood circulation has been stimulated. This is quite normal after any massage treatment and the symptoms will quickly disappear. You may wish to apply a soothing lotion.

Massage using attachments

1 Push the desired attachment onto the attachment

connector head. Slide the variable massage switch

to the massage only setting. If the massage

produces any type of discomfort cease the

treatment.

• Y our new massager will help you feel soothed and

relaxed. Massaging vibrations soothe tired, achey

muscular areas.

• The dual action massager can be used for an all

over body massage.

• Infra-red is ideal for stiff, tired muscles.

• Gives vibrating action and/or heat with little effort

on your part.

1 Massage may be applied once or twice daily. 2 Do not massage the same area for more

than 15 minutes.

Maintenance and cleaning

Always unplug the unit from the mains socket before cleaning. Never use liquids or abrasive cleaners to clean the unit. Just wipe with a damp cloth.

Unplug the appliance and store your massager with attachments in the box provided in a dry place.

Wiring

This product is fitted with a 13A (BS1363) plug. A 3 amp fuse (BS1362) must be used.

Check that the voltage on the rating plate of your appliance corresponds with your house electricity supply which must be A.C. (Alternating Current).

If the socket outlets in your home are not suitable for the plug supplied with this appliance the plug should be removed and the appropriate one fitted.

IMPORT ANT : THE PLUG REMOVED FROM THE MAINS LEAD, IF SEVERED, MUST BE DESTROYED AS A PLUG WITH BARED FLEXIBLE CORD IS HAZARDOUS IF ENGAGED INTO A LIVE SOCKET OUTLET.

As a safety precaution and to prolong the life of your appliance, do not wrap the mains lead around the appliance as this will cause damage.
