Battery Disposal
The batteries in this product are not
replaceable.
This product contains sealed Nickel metal hydride batteries. When it reaches the end of its useful life they must be disposed of at an authorised recycling plant. Your local authority will have a centre which accepts such waste for recycling.
Your straightener is powered by a rechargeable battery. Follow the guidelines below.
Charging and discharging the battery
• A new battery’s full performance is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles.
• When a charger is not in use, disconnect it from the power source. Do not leave the mobile straightener connected to a charger for longer than 24 hours this may shorten its life. If left unused a fully charged battery will discharge itself over time.
• Temperature extremes will affect the ability of your battery to charge and its life time.
• Try to keep the mobile straightener in an area that is between 15-25 oC.
• Never use the charger when damaged.
Cleaning
Clean when the product is discharged and unplugged. Use a damp cloth and then wipe with a dry cloth.
Don’t let moisture enter the inside of the straightener or damage will occur.
12 For safety and to prevent product
damage, only use the charging unit
provided. 13 The product generates heat and care
should be taken to avoid burns to
yourself and items placed in close
proximity to the straightener. 14 When using for the first time charge for
8 hours then subsequent charges will
be 4 hours from flat. 15 Do not allow metal objects to come
into contact with the charging socket
on your mobile straightener. This could
short circuit the batteries and damage
the product. 16 A rubber stopper is provided on the
product and this should be placed in
the charging socket. If the product is
stored in your handbag or is likely to
be stored near metal objects ensure
the rubber stopper is in place.
