Thank you for buying your new Morphy Richards, Mark Hill Thermo Ceramic multistyler.
Please read these instructions carefully before use and keep in a safe place for future
reference.

How to use
1 Insert the chosen attachment into the handle of the multi
styler. Ensure the attachment is locked into place by twisting
the collar.
2 Plug the multistyler in at the mains.
3 Press and hold the on/off switch until the blue screen
illuminates. ‘Set’ will appear in the top left hand corner of the
screen and a ‘sun’ symbol will begin to flash.
4 Your multistyler will automatically switch on at temperature
setting 5.
5 Select the correct heat setting for your hair type. You can do this by using the UP/
DOWN arrows on the handle. The setting you select will be highlighted on the digital
display.
• For example setting 1
and setting 10.
• The thicker/coarser your hair type, the higher setting you will require. It will not be
necessary to use the highest setting for most hair types.
• Whilst heating, ensure the multistyler is not left on any surfaces which could be
damaged by the heat. Use the heat protection stand when using tongs.
6 The buzzer will sound and the sun symbol will stop flashing and disappear when the multi
styler has reached the desired temperature. You are now ready to style.
Auto shut off facility
Note: If your multistyler is left switched on for 45 minutes it will shut down automatically.
This is a safety feature. If you need to switch your multistyler on again, unplug at the mains
wait for 2 minutes, then plug in again and then hold the on/off button down to switch on.
Styling
Your Morphy Richards Mark Hill Thermo Ceramic multistyler has five attachments, allowing
you to create a range of different styles.
Lock Unlock
Tongs
You will be able to transform your hair from straight or wavy, to beautiful, sexy waves and
curls in no time at all. And the curls will last. There are 2 widths of tong available – the larger
tong will give you softer wave, and the smaller tong will give you a more defined curl.
Here is how to achieve the look which is hot at the moment.
1 On dry hair, take a section of hair from the nape of the neck, and secure the rest of the
hair away from this section.
2 Take a small area of this section, secure the end in the clip of the tong, and then wind the
barrel into the hair, taking care not to burn your fingers or scalp. Hold for a couple of
seconds, and then remove.
3 Do this for the rest of the section, and then take down the next section of hair and repeat
until all of the hair is curled.
4 Rub a small amount of shine cream or serum through your fingers, and then gently comb
your fingers through your hair to separate and emphasize the curls.
Variations
• For beautiful ringlet curls and waves, rather than winding the tong into the hair, wind the
hair around the tong spirally. Hold for a couple of seconds and then remove. This look is
softer, and very sexy.
• To help the curls stay all day and night long, when you have removed the tong from the
section of hair, wind the freshly formed curl back on itself, and secure using a clip
provided.
• When all of your hair is curled and clipped, spray with a little light hairspray, and use your
dryer on a low heat and speed setting to dry the hairspray. Remove the clips, and again
use a shine serum or gel through your finger to gently comb through.
• For a strong, catwalk look, do not wind the entire section of hair round your tong, leave
the root area straighter.

This look is fantastic on hair which has textured layers.
The drop tong
The tong attachment with the graduating diameter of barrel is perfect for creating ringlets
which are a little tighter at the root area, gradually getting softer towards the ends. This will
help the curl last longer, and give a really sexy look.
The straightener
Here is how to use them for maximum, head-turning results.
1 On dry hair, take a section of hair from the nape of the neck, no deeper then 2cm, and
secure the rest of your hair away from this section.
2 Clamp the roots of this section of hair between the straightening plates, and swiftly and
gently pull the straighteners down the hair.
3 Take the next section of hair, and repeat. Sometimes, you will have a ‘stubborn’ section
of hair, so you may need to run the professional straighteners down this section a couple
of times.
Variations
For a choppier texture
• As you glide the professional Thermo Ceramic straighteners down your hair, and you get
half way down the section of hair you are straightening, flick your wrist out, and create a
small kick. Use a wax or clay finishing product to emphasize this great texture. This is a
great look on short hair.
• To give the hair a little more movement - As you glide the professional Thermo Ceramic
straighteners down your hair, and you get half way down the section of hair you are
straightening, flick your wrist inwards, and help shape the hair round your face a little.
This is perfect on longer hair, and will help frame your face perfectly.

The brush attachment
With the multistyler, you also have a brush attachment. The brush attachment slides over
the slim barrel tong for use. This can be used to revive your style, just like you would use
velcro rollers.
To change attachments
1 Always ensure the multistyler is switched off at the mains
and at the handle before you attempt to change the
attachments.
2 Check that the attachment you are removing is cooled down.
3 Hold the attachment and twist the attachment release collar
until the attachment is no longer locked. Pull the attachment
gently from the handle.
4 Take the attachment you wish to use.
5 Insert the attachment into the handle, and twist the collar to
lock in place.
Selecting the correct heat setting
• The Thermo Ceramic multistyler is designed to reach extremely high temperatures for use
on all hair types. Most hair types can be styled perfectly without using the highest
temperature settings. Where possible you should always try to use lower settings as this
is safer and kinder to your hair.
• As a guide to which heat setting is best for your hair, you should rate your hair on a scale
of 1-10 (10 being thickest, 1 thinnest). This rating will correspond to the optimum heat
setting for your hair.

Important safeguards
1 This multi styler is professional standard, and reaches very high temperatures.
Always be careful not to allow the barrels or plates to come into contact with the
skin, and use the heat protection stands to avoid causing damage to surfaces.
2 Do not leave the barrels or plates in contact with the hair for more than a few seconds.
The multistyler reaches very high temperatures, so there is no need to leave the hair
around the barrel or inside the plates for longer than a few seconds. This will avoid
unnecessary damage to the hair cuticle.
3 Use the appliance for its intended use only.
4 To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water
or any other liquids.
5 It is recommended that this appliance should not be used by children.
6 Always unplug your appliance when it is not in use.
7 Do not leave the multistyler switched on while unattended.
8 Do not take this product into a bathroom, or use near water.
9 In the event of cable damage, do not attempt to replace the mains cable, return to
Morphy Richards.
10 After use, do not store until the product has cooled down.
11 Do not place the multistyler on surfaces likely to be damaged by the heat. Always use
the safety stands.
12 It is normal to find build up of hair products on the tong barrels/straightening plates. In
order to avoid this you should clean the attachments regularly. Always wait for the
attachments to cool down thoroughly before cleaning. Use a damp cloth to remove any
build up. If this fails to clean the attachments, try a non abrasive cleaning wipe e.g. CIF.

Wiring
This product is fitted with a 13A (BS1363)
plug. A 13 amp fuse (BS1362) must be used.
Check that the voltage on the rating plate of
your appliance corresponds with your
house electricity supply which must be A.C.
(Alternating Current).
If the socket outlets in your home are not
suitable for the plug supplied with this
appliance the plug should be removed and
the appropriate one fitted.
IMPORTANT: THE PLUG REMOVED
FROM THE MAINS LEAD, IF SEVERED,
MUST BE DESTROYED AS A PLUG WITH
BARED FLEXIBLE CORD IS HAZARDOUS IF ENGAGED INTO A LIVE SOCKET
OUTLET.

Mains Lead
As a safety precaution and to prolong the life
of your appliance, do not wrap the mains lead
around the appliance as this will cause
damage.
Cleaning
The plates and barrels of your multistyler
should be cleaned on a regular basis. When
the product is unplugged and cooled down,
use a damp cloth to wipe off any product
build up. If this is not sufficient try a non
abrasive kitchen cleaning wipe such as Cif
wipes.

Two Year Guarantee
It is in your interest to retain the retailers receipt as proof of purchase. Please quote the model
number if the product develops a fault. This number can be found on the handle of the product.
All Morphy Richards products are individually tested before leaving the factory. In the unlikely
event of any appliance proving to be faulty within 28 days of purchase it should be returned to the
place of purchase for it to be replaced.
If a fault develops after 28 days and within 24 months of original purchase, you should contact the
helpline number quoting the model number of the product, or write to the address below. You will
be asked to return the product (in secure packaging) to the address below along with a copy of
proof of purchase.
