If your cleaner is not picking up as well as it should, please check
Ensure the batteries are fully charged before first use. A full charge can take up to 16 hours. (The sweeper is supplied uncharged).
• Blockages
Ensure the rotating brush is free from debris i.e. cotton/hair wrapping around the brush bar.
•Emptying
Empty the dust container regularly, this can be rinsed clean and left to air dry if necessary.
IMPORTANT : Ensure the unit is fully dry before re-inserting into the machine.

Important safety instructions
The use of any electrical appliance requires the following common sense safety rules.

• The plug must be removed from the wall
socket before cleaning or maintaining
the appliance.
•Never modify the cleaner in any way.
Other safety considerations
• Never use in the presence of explosive
liquids or vapours.
• Never pick up inflammable or poisonous
liquids such as petrol, copier toner or
other volatile substances. Never pick up
acids, asbestos or asbestos dust.
• Repairs to electrical appliances are only
to be undertaken by trained personnel.
Unprofessional repairs can be
dangerous for users.
• Use only genuine Morphy Richards
spare parts and accessories.
• This sweeper is intended for domestic use only. Misuse or use for commercial or any other purpose will render the guarantee invalid.
Product safety
• Never use the appliance to pick up hot ashes, broken glass or sharp objects.
• Never modify the cleaner in any way.
•To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury do not immerse cord, plug or cleaner in water or other liquid.
Product disposal
This product contains a sealed nicad battery. When it reaches the end of its useful life it must not be disposed of in normal household waste. The product must be disposed of at an authorised recycling plant. Your local authority will have a centre which accepts such waste for recycling.
Electrical requirements
Check that the voltage on the rating plate of your charger unit corresponds with your house electricity which must be A.C. (alternating current).
Use only the charger supplied.

Assembly
1 Insert the extension tubes into the
telescopic tube/handle support. B
2 The tubes twist to extend and lock to the
desired height. C
3 Push the loop handle on to the top of the
tubes. D
4 Tu rn the handle to the desired position.
For use on stairs
1 The loop handle may be connected
directly to the telescopic tube/handle support for stair cleaning E.
Mounting the charging bracket
1 Select a point in the vicinity of a wall
socket, indoors and not subject to damp.
2WARNING: Make sure that there are
no hidden services (gas, water, electricity etc) behind the wall.
3 Position the bracket against the wall and
mark the points at which the fastening screws are to be inserted.
4 Using a 5.5mm masonary drill, drill holes
30mm deep and insert the two plugs.
5 Secure the bracket using the screws
provided. Do not overtighten.
• The fixings provided are for use with solid brick walls only. Alternative fixings for different types of wall construction will be available from your local DIY store.

To locate the sweeper
1 To locate the sweeper onto the bracket,
hook the front edge of the sweeper on to the bracket and click telescopic tube/handle support onto the bracket. F
Charging the sweeper
1 Plug the charger into the wall socket. 2 Connect the charger to the sweeper. G
3 Switch the wall socket on.
4 The charging indicator illuminates to
indicate charging is in progress.
• If the charging indicator does not illuminate press the on/off pedal. The product will only charge if the pedal is in the off position.
•Keep your floor sweeper connected to the charger when not in use, in order to ensure full cleaning capacity.
NOTE: Before initial use, please charge
your floor sweeper overnight (16 hours).
NOTE: Charging should not be carried out when the ambient temperature is below 0˚C or above +40˚C. The charger will become warm during use. This is perfectly normal.
Using
1 Switch off at the wall socket. 2 Unplug the sweeper from its charging
unit, extend the tubes to the desired
height and adjust the handle
accordingly. 3 Place the sweeper on the surface to be
cleaned and press the on/off pedal with
your foot.
•Avoid stalling the sweeper because this
will quickly drain the battery.

Dust disposal
1 Press the on/off pedal to turn the product
off.
2 Slide the dust container out of the
product,

into a dustbin. I
3 Replace the dust container back into the
machine.
The dust container can be rinsed in warm water to clean. Ensure the container is dried thoroughly before replacing into the machine.

Cleaning and maintenance
•Remove dust by using a soft damp cloth
and wipe dry. Do not use scourers or
abrasive cleaners.

Your two year guarantee
It is important to retain the retailers receipt as proof of purchase. Staple your
receipt to this back cover for future reference.
Please quote the following information if the product develops a fault. These numbers can be found on the base of the product.
Model no. Serial no.
All Morphy richards products are individually tested before leaving the factory. In the unlikely event of any appliance proving to be faulty within 28 days of purchase it should be returned to the place of purchase for it to be replaced.
If the fault develops after 28 days and within 24 months of original purchase, you should contact the Helpline number quoting Model number and Serial number on the product, or write to Morphy richards at the address shown. You will be asked to return the product (in secure, adequate packaging) to the address below along with a copy of proof of purchase. Subject to the exclusions set out below (1-4) the faulty appliance will then be repaired or replaced and dispatched usually within 7 working days of receipt.
If you suspect a fault, follow the simple checks detailed below before returning the appliance or calling the helpline.
• Check the battery is fully charged, this can
take up to 16 hours if the battery is
completely drained.
•Check for blockages.
• Check the plug is firmly in the socket and the
charging light is on.
If for any reason this item is replaced during the 2 year guarantee period, the guarantee on the new item will be calculated from original purchase date. Therefore it is vital to retain your original till receipt or invoice to indicate the date of initial purchase.
To qualify for the 2 year guarantee the appliance must have been used according to the manufacturers instructions.
EXCLUSIONS
Morphy richards shall not be liable to replace or repair the goods under the terms of the guarantee where: 1 The fault has been caused or is attributable
to accidental use, misuse, negligent use or
used contrary to the manufacturers
recommendations or where the fault has
been caused by power surges or damage
caused in transit. 2 The appliance has been used on a voltage
supply other than that stamped on the
products. 3 Repairs have been attempted by persons
other than our service staff (or authorised
dealer). 4 Where the appliance has been used for hire
purposes or non domestic use.
This guarantee does not confer any rights other than those expressly set out above and does not cover any claims for consequential loss or damage. This guarantee is offered as an additional benefit and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
• This guarantee is valid in the UK and Ireland only.
