HOW TO USE YOUR TONG
1
Press and hold the on/off switch to use. The blue
digital display will illuminate.
2
In order to select the lowest temperature for your
hair start with a heat setting of 120˚C (the tong will
automatically set to this heat when switched on).
Take a test strand and wind hair around tong securing
round the barrel with tong lever. Leave for 10 seconds,
if the hair does not fully curl increase the temperature
by 10 – 20˚. This way you will find the lowest level
needed for your hair. Use the 10 second rule to find
the right temperature for your hair.
3
Rest the tong on the heat protection stand
while heating, in order to avoid scorching or
burning surfaces.
Once the tong has reached the selected temperature,
4
the display shows ‘READY’.
! Ensure your hair is thoroughly dry before you begin
styling – this will avoid damage to the hair.
Divide your hair into sections, brushing each section
5
thoroughly. Use small sections of hair for tighter more
defined curls, and larger sections for softer larger curls.
6
Raise the tong by pressing the tong lever. Place the
outer section of the hair between the lever and the
barrel. Lower the lever to trap the end of the hair.
Rotate the handle to wind the hair round the outside
of the tong. You may find it easier to hold the finger
grip loosely with your other hand.
7
Leave the tong in place for about 10-15 seconds,
depending on the length and thickness of your hair.
Unwind the hair carefully, and raise the tong lever to
release the hair. For best results secure the curl to the
head with a grip until you have completed all sections.
Leave in place to cool, and then run your fingers
gently through the curl to soften the finish.
8
Repeat on all sections of the hair.
9
Your tong features an auto shut off after 40 mins.
SAFETY INFORMATION
When using your hair appliance, basic safety precautions
should always be followed. Please read these instructions
carefully before using the product, and keep them in a
safe place for future reference.
1
This tong is of professional standard, and reaches
very high temperatures. Always be careful not to
allow the barrel to come into contact with the skin,
and use the heat protection stand to avoid causing
damage to surfaces.
2
Do not leave the barrel in contact with the hair for
more than a few seconds. The tong reaches very high
temperatures, so there is no need to leave the hair
around the barrel for longer than a few seconds. This
will avoid unnecessary damage to the hair cuticle.
3
Use the appliance for its intended use only.
4
To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not
immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.
It is recommended that this appliance should not be
5
used by children.
6
Always unplug your appliance when it is not in use.
7
Do not leave the tong switched on while unattended.

attempt to replace the mains cable – return
to Morphy Richards.
10
After use, do not store until the product
has cooled down.
11
Do not place the tong on surfaces likely to be
damaged by the heat. Always use the safety stand.
12
Ensure your hair is completely dry before you begin
curling. Applying high temperatures to damp or wet
hair will increase the probability of hair breaking or
becoming permanently damaged.
13
Try and use your tong for as short a time as
possible - prolonged use can cause
unneccessary damage to your hair.

CLEANING
Over time, you will find a natural build up on your tong
barrel. This can be caused by natural oils in your hair and
styling products and lotions. At the first sign of build up,
you should clean your tong barrel.
To do this, always switch your tong off and wait for them
to cool down. Wipe with a damp cloth, or a non abrasive
cleaning wipe. Failure to do this, may mean the build up
becomes burnt onto the tong barrel and it will become
difficult to clean. If your tong barrel does become
discoloured, it will NOT affect the performance.
The appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons
without assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental
