read these instructions carefully before use and keep in a safe place for future reference.

Styling Tips
Styling
Having shampooed your hair, ensure
that it is rinsed properly as shampoo that is
left in the hair will leave it looking dull.
To maximise shine, rinse your hair in
cool water thoroughly.
Comb your hair through with a wide
toothed comb to remove tangles before
styling.
Rough dry your hair using a Morphy
Richards Hairdryer.
Avoid using styling products such as
hairspray, gel or mousse before or during
styling as it may cause your hair to stick to
the plates.
Connecting attachments
Align the attachment with the handle
using the graphics on the product and twist
the locking collar to secure in place.
To remove reverse the process.
Caution - when changing barrels they
are hot. Never leave the main unit
without an attachment. It may burn
surfaces or cause fires.
When the tong is heating up, make sure
that it is positioned so that the barrel is not
touching the surface to avoid any damage.
When preparing to style your hair using
Kick it TM, plug the appliance in and switch it
on before you start to prepare/dry your hair.
This will give it enough time to heat up to
the correct temperature to style your hair.
We recommend that you choose which
attachment you are going to use first and
heat the tong up with this attachment on as
this will also enable the tong to reach its
optimum temperature quicker.
Tong barrel attachments
Take a small section of hair. Raise the
tong by pressing the clamp lever. Place the
outer section of hair between the tong and
the barrel. Lower the tong to trap the end of
the hair. Rotate the handle to wind the hair
around the outside of the tong. You may find
this easier if you hold the cool tip loosely
with the other hand.
Leave the tong in place for about 10-15
seconds (depending on the length and
thickness of hair) then unwind carefully.
Raise the tong to release the hair and
leave the curl in position until it has cooled.

Kick it
lip to give a real kick to the ends of your
hair. Take sections of the hair and wrap
around the shaped barrel and turn the hair
outwards and hold for 10-15 seconds.

When using your hair appliance, basic

the appliance in water or in any

4 It is recommended that this
appliance should not be used by
children.
5 Be sure that your household
voltage corresponds to the
voltage marked on the tong.
6 Always unplug your appliance
when it is not in use.
7 Do not leave the tong switched
on whilst unattended.
8 Do not take this product into a
bathroom or use near a water basin.
9 In the event of cable damage do not
attempt to replace the mains cable,
return to morphy richards.
10 After use do not store until the product
has cooled down.
11 Do not place the tong on surfaces
likely to be easily damaged by the heat.
12 Do not use the appliance without
an attachment fitted as the barrel
is very hot. The barrel must be
placed on the safety stand if no
attachment is fitted. Failure to do
this may result in fire.

Wiring
This product is fitted with a 13A
(BS1363) plug. A 3 amp fuse (BS1362)
must be used.
Check that the voltage on the rating
plate of your appliance corresponds with
your house electricity supply which must be
A.C. (Alternating Current).
If the socket outlets in your home are
not suitable for the plug supplied with this
appliance the plug should be removed and
the appropriate one fitted.
IMPORT ANT : THE PLUG REMOVED
FROM THE MAINS LEAD, IF SEVERED,
MUST BE DESTROYED AS A PLUG WITH
BARED FLEXIBLE CORD IS HAZARDOUS
IF ENGAGED INTO A LIVE SOCKET
OUTLET.
Mains Lead
As a safety precaution and to prolong
the life of your appliance, do not wrap the
mains lead around the appliance as this will
cause damage.

Two Year Guarantee
It is in your interest to retain the retailers receipt as proof of purchase. Please quote the model
number if the product develops a fault. This number can be found on the handle of the product.
All Morphy Richards products are individually tested before leaving the factory. In the unlikely
event of any appliance proving to be faulty within 28 days of purchase it should be returned to the
place of purchase for it to be replaced.
If a fault develops after 28 days and within 24 months of original purchase, you should contact the
helpline number quoting the model number of the product, or write to the address below. You will
be asked to return the product (in secure packaging) to the address below along with a copy of
proof of purchase.
