OCTAVE CENTER
Congratulations on acquiring Morels Octave Center.
We encourage you to read this manual in order to understand the key issues and important elements that led us to design and develop the Octave Center. The information in this manual will help you get the best possible performance out of your system. If you have any questions, please contact your Morel dealer. You can also visit our website at www.morelhifi.com
We are happy you have become a part of the Morel family and hope you will enjoy the rich listening experience of the Octave.
The technological innovation we employed in the Octave Center helps to optimize accuracy and control as well as get the best dispersion over a wide listening area. The dynamic reach and power handling of the Octave Center allows it to cope with the most demanding sound effects and music and capture the details of even the softest whisper.
The Octave Center consists of three 5 ¼(130 mm) woofer units and a widerange tweeter. The construction is based on the integration of the Octave systems drive units in the center speaker. The center speaker has the same sound characteristics as an Octave speaker with a more powerful bass impact and higher power handling capability. The construction of the tweeter, located above the woofer, serves to avoid horizontal dispersion problems that are so typical to many center speakers.
The Octave Center acoustical design is made for high definition dialogue in an audio-visual system and perfect for a non-compromise music reproduction. The unusual drive unit configuration design is made as two separate sections, divided into three individual cabinets. The central part is the bass midrange unit with the tweeter on top, for full range performance. The two left and right woofers operate in a common bass reflex loaded cabinet, enhancing the low frequency bass notes. The Octave Center is magnetically shielded therefore it can be placed close to a TV screen, either above or below it, without causing any disturbances.
