Component List: (1) Headboard (1) Footboard (2) Half Log Side Rails (2) Half Log Mattress Support Side Rails (3) Wooden Mattress Support Slats (1) Mattress Support Webbing or Bunkie Board with attached wooden side rails.
CAUTION: We recommend you have an assistant ready to help during the assembly process.
Step 1. With the headboard and footboard lying down, tap a lag shield into each of the 24 holes.
Step 2. Stand the headboard and footboard upright. Support them so that they do not fall over.
Step 3. Attach half log mattress support side rails (these have the full-length steel rails attached) to the lower
portion of the headboard and footboard using the supplied lag bolts and washers. Tighten fully with the ½”
socket or wrench.
Step 4. With the help of an assistant align top hole in metal bracket with the third hole down from the top of the wooden post. Insert lag bolt and washer through metal bracket into hole, fastening one side of the Bunkie board to the headboard and footboard. Do not fully tighten lags at this time as the assembly must swing upward to allow securing of the other side.
Step 5. Swing the opposite side of the Bunky board upward so that the Bunky Board is horizontal. Repeat step 4 above. Secure this side with the supplied lag bolts and washers. Do not fully tighten at this time.
Step 6. Attach the two top rails to the headboard and footboard with the supplied lags and washers. Tighten these bolts and those installed in step 5 fully with ½” socket or wrench.
Step 7. Ensure that all bolts are fully tightened.
Step 8. Insert the three wooden mattress support slats between the bottom side rails.
ASSEMBLY IS NOW COMPLETE
WARNING: The manufacturer recommends a maximum 6” maress height for the top bunk. Maresses thicker than 6” may create
