INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing your new
Monster Effects Swamp-Thang tremolo
effect pedal! It is designed to replicate the
classic tremolo effect found in many
vintage tube amplifiers.

Before operating or installing the unit,
please read this manual thoroughly and
retain it for future reference. Additional

TREMOLO SPEED

The speed control determines the rate of the
tremolo effect. Clockwise rotation increases the
effect rate while counter-clockwise rotation
decreases the effect rate.

TREMOLO DEPTH

The depth control determines the depth of the
tremolo effect amplitude modulation. Clockwise
rotation increases the effect depth while counter­clockwise reduces the effect depth.

BYPASS SWITCH

Swamp-Thang uses true bypass switching. The
pedal bypass switch engages or bypasses the
effect.

ACTIVE LED

The LED lights when the effect is active. The
LED flashes at the rate set by the SPEED
control to provide visual speed indication.

INPUT JACK

The instrument input jack accepts signals from
instruments or other effects. Avoid overdriving
the input for best effect sound.

OUTPUT JACK

The output jack is intended to drive an amplifier
or other effect input. Note that power is enabled
to the unit whenever a plug is inserted in the
output jack. Always remove any plug from the
output jack to preserve battery life when the unit
is not in use.

AC ADAPTER JACK

The Swamp-Thang operates from 9V battery or
external AC adapters providing 9-12V of clean
DC power. The adapter jack accepts tip plugs
with either plus(+) or minus(-) tip polarity
automatically.
