Regulating Steam
The amount of steam can be regulated by sliding the Steam Control on top of the Steam Gun. Move forward to increase steam – backward to reduce steam.
IMPORTANT: When the Steam Cleaner has run out of water, steam, output will cease. Follow rell instructions (page 12) to use your Steam Cleaner again.
Attaching Shoulder Strap
Using the detachable Shoulder Strap allows for greater freedom of
movement when both hands are needed for cleaning tasks. To attach Shoulder Strap to the Steam Cleaner,
simply snap Shoulder Strap hooks on the
connecting rings found on unit. When using Steam Cleaner with the Shoulder
Strap, avoid rocking or tilting the unit excessively as this may cause water to enter the hose and
be discharged along with the steam.
CAUTION: We recommend testing the weight of the Steam Cleaner before using it with the Shoulder Strap. This is to prevent potential injury and ensure it is not too heavy for you to carry comfortably.

Usage Suggestions
• For vertical surfaces, always wipe excess water from the top down. This catches dirty water before it drips on clean surfaces.
• Avoid changing attachments back and forth while cleaning.
• Start with the smallest brush to clean tight spots and corners rst.
• Wipe dirt as soon as possible, otherwise it will dry and re-adhere
to the surface.
To Strip off Floor Wax: Use Floor
Brush for open areas and Nylon
Detail Brush for corners or tight
areas - no Cloth, slow strokes. Work a small area at a time, removing the oor wax from the oor. When all wax has been stripped, immediately clean oor and brushes
with water before residue hardens.
Go back over stripped area with Floor Brush (with Cloth attached) to remove any remaining residue
before re-polishing.
Wood, Vinyl and Marble Floors
Use the Floor Brush with Cotton
Cloth attached. Move Brush across oor as if you are mopping. When Cloth is soiled, turn it over or replace it with a clean Cloth. If you are working on a very dirty area, move the Brush over the area slowly, several times. If it is a wood oor, move quicky to avoid heat or moisture
buildup in the wood.
NOTE: Unsealed wood floors i.e.,
un-painted or unvarnished wood should not be steam cleaned.

Usage Suggestions (continued)
CAUTION: Always determine the color-fastness of any fabric – especially with reds or blues – by taking a clean, damp, warm towel and gently rubbing a small hidden part of the furniture. If color comes off on the towel, you may need to have the piece dry cleaned.
Window, Glass Surfaces and Mirrors
Use the Window Squeegee.
Work with the steam jet on, using top to bottom movements. Use
Squeegee with the steam off to clear water from the glass. To do
this without streaking, use lateral movements from the top to the
bottom of the surface.
Blinds
Use the Nylon Detail Brush to clean blinds. Move Brush over the surface, allowing enough time for the
steam to penetrate.
Work quickly on PVC blinds. Test
for color fastness on fabric blinds before using.
Fiberglass or Stainless Steel Surfaces
Use Floor Brush or Nylon Detail Brush. Slowly move Brush over the
surface to be cleaned. The steam
will emulsify the dirt and grease
on the surface. Follow with Cotton
Cloth over Floor Brush to remove excess moisture and residue.
Tip: An old polishing method for stainless steel is to wipe it down with soda water after it’s cleaned.
Soap Scum
Soap scum dissolves almost immediately under a combination of
heat and moisture. Rinse surface afterward with a small amount
of water or go back over it once
more with a clean cotton cloth.
NOTE: Soap scum will sometimes develop a hard surface from waterborne minerals. If this is the case, use Floor Brush (no Cloth) to break up this surface. Or, spray
or wipe rst with lemon, vinegar
or soda water to soften minerals. Moving too slowly can dry out the
Polished Floors: Wrap clean Cloth
around Floor Brush, brush quickly. This will cause dirt to be removed but not the wax.
Vinyl Floors: Work quickly and do not allow heat to build up on any kind of vinyl – it can affect its
texture.
Tile Floors: Clean grout between
tiles using the Detail Nozzle and Nylon Detail Brush. Use Floor Brush
with Cloth attached to clean tiles.
Move Floor Brush slowly across the oor to remove excess moisture
and residue.
For tile areas that are very dirty, remove the Cloth and agitate with Brush. Do not let area dry before you wipe it up.
Spot Cleaning (Carpets)
Use the Detail Nozzle with or without the Nylon Detail Brush. Move slowly over soiled area, allowing steam
to penetrate. Agitate with Detail Brush or clean Cloth. Dab the spot
with Cloth (do not rub). Repeat as necessary to remove stain. Vacuum only after the carpet has completely dried. Always test color fastness
of carpet in an inconspicuous area
before cleaning. If your Steam Cleaner fails to remove stubborn stains, a commercially available carpet shampoo may be required.
DO NOT add cleaning solutions, perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water used in this appliance. This may damage the unit or make it unsafe for use.
Upholstery
Use Floor Brush (with Cloth), attached directly to the Steam Gun. Use fast, light strokes, and avoid
getting the fabric wet. Be patient with stubborn spots. Work on a spot
gently for no more than a minute at a time, then wait 5 minutes for the area to dry and repeat. Use circular movements or back-and-forth and side-to-side movements to get all sides of surface bers. Finish by brushing in one direction to give the
fabric a uniform appearance.

Nicotine and Tar
Nicotine and tar dissolve at high
temperatures and become a light
yellow oil that has the consistency
of sewing machine oil. When the
nicotine/tar lm is touched by a hot Cotton Cloth clipped over the Floor Brush, it immediately dissolves into the cloth. You can remove it from at surfaces as fast as you can move the Brush over
the surface.
Removing Wax, Tar, Etc.
Many stains are only stuck on the
surface of materials and can be
easily and quickly removed by “blowing” excess material away
from the surface at an angle.
This is accomplished by using the Detail Nozzle.
Hold a Cotton Cloth to the side to catch loose residue as it is blown
by the Nozzle.
NOTE: Always vacuum any loose residue off the surface before you apply steam to it.
Oven
When cleaning an oven, use the Nylon Detail Brush to clean around the elements and drip trays. Use Detail Nozzle and Detail Brush for cracks, crevices, and hard to
reach areas. Refrigerator
Use Detail Nozzle to blow away dirt
in the ice machine and on door
seals. The steam will not dry out or
crack the seals.
Can Openers & Other Kitchen Equipment
These can be easily cleaned with the Nylon Detail Brush on the Nozzle to get into all the nooks and
crannies. Microwaves & Small Appliances
Use Nylon Detail Brush.
WARNING: Always unplug small appliances before cleaning.
Kitchen Work Surfaces
Use Floor Brush with Cloth at-
tached. For heavily soiled areas, use Brush without the Cloth, rst in order to loosen the debris, then follow with Cloth attached to nish.
soap scum and leave a gritty residue on the surface. If this happens, apply steam with the Floor Brush (no Cloth) again, and re-clean.
Bathroom Areas
To clean the bath or shower area, use the Nylon Detail Brush for grout, shower door tracks, hard to get areas and heavily soiled areas. The
Window Squeegee will be the most
efcient way to clean the rest of the
tiled area and glass shower doors.
Allow plenty of time for the heat to
penetrate the surface. This is espe-
cially helpful in the shower area if
there is tile or grout.
To clean sanitary xtures, use the Detail Nozzle with or without the Nylon Detail Brush. Use a terry cloth
towel or paper towel to wipe up
excess moisture and residue. Use Nylon Detail Brush to clean the
sink and taps.
Garden Furniture
Use either of the brushes depending on the surface area.
Work quickly when cleaning resin
outdoor furniture.
Exterior Areas
To clean car interior, use the Floor Brush with Cotton Cloth attached, just as in the home. You should not expose the bristles to leather – use only the Brush with Cotton Cloth attached. For detailing wheels, use the Detail Nozzle and Nylon Detail Brush. Exterior windows are cleaned best by applying steam with the Detail Nozzle and wiping with a
paper towel.
To clean bicycles: use the Nylon
Detail Brush.
Articial Plants
Use Detail Nozzle only, to blow off
dust and dirt.
Fabric Steamer
The Monster SC60 is excellent for removing wrinkles from fabrics. You can use the Monster SC60 as a fabric steamer. Simply steam
the surface from a distance. The
dry steam removes wrinkles and refreshes the fabric without leaving
it wet.

Relling the Boiler During Use
WARNING:
Let unit
cool 10 minutes before opening Boiler Cap
.
Use care when opening the Boiler Cap – it may still be hot and steam may escape, causing burns. If Boiler is still hot, water may spurt out during relling – this can also cause burns.
• Unplug appliance.
• Place towel or cloth over Boiler Cap. Slowly turn Boiler Cap counterclockwise and release any remaining steam. If hissing, wait until last of steam escapes and hissing stops before removing
Boiler Cap.
Be sure unit has cooled 10 minutes before relling with water.
• Rell Boiler with a maximum of 1.2L (2 pints) of water, using Filler
Funnel. (Only use the Filler Funnel supplied. Its nozzle is made from
a heat resistant material to prevent it from melting when lling a
hot boiler. Other plastic funnels can melt and become welded to the inside of the boiler spout voiding your warranty.)
• Firmly screw Boiler Cap back on by turning it clockwise.
• Insert plug into 3-prong electrical outlet.
REMINDERS
• We recommend using distilled or demineralized water as the best way to care for and utilize your Steam Cleaner.
• If tap water is too hard, use distilled or demineralized water to avoid the risk of staining pale colored fabrics.
• Do not add detergents, perfumes, oils or other chemical
substances.
