Product Overview

Thank you for purchasing the Model 615808 8-Channel Audio Mixer with USB I/O by Monoprice®. The 615808 is a 14-input, 8-channel mixer that features a full suite of input options, including four balanced XLR microphone inputs, four unbalanced mono 1/4” TS line inputs, two pairs of unbalanced mono 1/4” TS inputs grouped together for stereo control, a single USB input/output for connection to a computer, a
3.5mm stereo TRS input, and a pair of RCA inputs. The mixer can provide +48V Phantom Power to all four XLR mic inputs.
In addition to the USB input/output, this mixer has five additional outputs. The Phones output is an unbalanced stereo 1/4” TRS connection, while the Aux Send and the R and L outputs are all unbalanced mono 1/4” TS connections. Additionally, there is a pair of RCA outputs. The R and L outputs are grouped together for stereo control on the mixer.
The 615808 includes the necessary mounting bracket for properly attaching the mixer to a stand mount.
This User Guide is designed to provide details about how to set up and use the 615808 using a PC or Mac (see System Requirements for compatibility).

GAIN The GAIN analog level control
knobs adjust the input level of the corresponding channel’s microphone (0dB to +45dB ) or line (-20dB to +25dB) input.
HI The HI frequency equalizer control
knobs adjust the level of the corresponding channel +/- 15dB at the 12KHz frequency.
2TK/IN - 2TK/OUT Plugs Left/Right
RCA jacks for 2TK (2-track, 2-channel) input and output.
CD/IN 3.5mm stereo TRS jack accepts
input from a CD player, MP3 player, or other audio source.
+48V Press the button (red) to apply
+48V phantom power. Release the button for non-condensor mics or line-level inputs.

2TK MAIN Press the button (blue) to
activate the Main input. Release the button when using the 2TK (2-track/2-channel RCA) inputs. To hear USB audio input, press both the “2TK/Main” and the “2TK to Main” buttons.
2TK TO MAIN Press the button (blue)
to send the 2TK (2-track, 2-channel RCA) input signal to the Main output. To hear USB audio input, press both the “2TK/Main” and the “2TK to Main” buttons.
POWER The POWER LED will light solid
blue when connected to a power source and the main power switch is ON.
LED LEVEL INDICATORS The LEDs
will light steady green to indicate the level of the main mix. If the red CLIP indicators are lit, reduce the output using the LEVEL MAIN control knob.

level control knob adjusts the volume level on the AUX SEND output. There is no dedicated ‘Return’ input - use any of the 8 standard channels for return. Assure AUX PRE for return channels is off (counter­clockwise) to avoid feedback loops that could damage your equipment.
LEVEL PHONES The LEVEL PHONES
analog level control knob adjusts the volume level for the ¼” headphones output.
LEVEL 2TK The LEVEL 2TK analog level
control knob adjusts the level of the RCA stereo (2TK, 2-track, 2-channel) inputs.
LEVEL MAIN The LEVEL MAIN analog
level control knob adjusts master volume control.

Plug and Play Installation

The 615808 is a Class Compliant USB device, which means that it can communicate with your PC or Mac using device drivers that are built into the operating system. These drivers are written by Microsoft® and Apple® respectively and come pre-installed on all computers. See System Requirements for supported operating system versions. To begin the plug and play installation with your computer, attach a USB A-Male to B-Male Cable (not included) to the USB port on the left side of the 615808 and to a USB port on your PC or Mac. See Side View > USB Port.

Windows

After attaching a USB A-Male to B-Male Cable to the USB port on the left side of the 615808 and to a USB port on your PC, the device drivers will automatically install. When complete, a notification will appear (Windows 7 featured, other Windows version will vary.)
Mac
After attaching a USB A-Male to B-Male Cable to the USB port on the left side of the 615808 and to a USB port on your Mac:
1. Click System Preferences.
2. Click Sound.
3. Click Output.
To view the details of the installed driver:
1. Click Start > Control Panel.
2. Click Hardware and Sound.
3. Click Device Manager.
4. Click Sound, video and game controllers.
4. Click Input.
5. Double-click USB Audio Codec for driver details.

Returns

Returns of Products are subject to Monoprice.com’s current return policies which are set forth here on our website and on the invoice. Out of Stock or Discontinued Items: If you return a product for replacement and it is Out of Stock or Discontinued when the item is received, you may be contacted by the Monoprice. com Returns team and offered a suitable replacement or option for a store credit.
All returns, whether for refund or replacement, require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Products that are returned without prior RMA and the RMA# clearly printed on the address label will be refused and sent back to the sender. Please use the label provided when your RMA is issued. If you did not receive a copy of the label in your e-mail confirmation, you can print a copy from the RMA Status page in the My Account section of the website after you have logged in.
