This device is intended for indoor use only.
Do not expose this device to water or moisture of any
kind. Do not place drinks or other containers with
moisture on or near the device. If moisture does get in or
on the device, immediately unplug it from the power
outlet and allow it to fully dry before reapplying power.
Do not touch the device, the power cord, or any other
connected cables with wet hands.

Before plugging the unit into a power outlet, ensure that
the outlet provides the same type and level of power
required by the device.
Unplug this device from the power source when not in
use.
Take care to prevent damage to the power cord. Do not
allow it to become crimped, pinched, walked on, or
become tangled with other cords. Ensure that the power
cord does not present a tripping hazard.
Never unplug the unit by pulling on the power cord.
Always grasp the connector head or adapter body.
Ensure that power is turned off and disconnected before
making any electrical connections.
Remove the batteries from the controller if it will go
unused for a lengthy period of time.
Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical
cleaners, solvents, or detergents. For stubborn deposits,
moisten the cloth with warm water.
This device has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt
to open, service, or modify this device.

INTRODUCTION
This Blackbird™ 4K 4x2 HDMI® Matrix allows you to select any of
four HDMI video sources to either or both of two HDMI displays.
It supports the HDMI 2.0a and HDCP™ 2.2 standards, as well as
being DVI 1.0 compliant. It supports video resolutions up to
4K@60Hz 4:2:0, including 1080p@60Hz and 3D video. It can
extract the HDMI audio from either output and outputs both
multichannel S/PDIF digital optical and 2-channel analog audio. It
features three EDID® control options and can be controlled using
the front panel buttons, as well as the included IR remote control.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Front Panel
1. IR: Aim the remote control towards the IR receiver
window.
2. OUT A: Press the button to cycle forward through the
available inputs for output A. The LEDs will indicate which
of the four inputs is selected.
3. OUT B: Press the button to cycle forward through the
available inputs for output B. The LEDs will indicate which
of the four inputs is selected.
4. AUDIO: Press the button select which output's audio is
extracted to the digital optical and analog audio outputs.
The LEDs will illuminate to indicate which output is
selected.
5. EDID: Use the switch to select one of the three EDID®
control options is used.

When set to AUTO, the matrix will poll both outputs
and will transmit the lower of the two EDID® options to
all four source devices.
When set to COPY, the matrix will transmit the EDID
information of the display connected to output A to all
four source devices. If the EDID cannot be copied, it
will send the default 1080p@60Hz video resolution to
all four source devices.
When set to STD, the matrix will send the standard
4K@30Hz resolution to all four source devices.

Rear Panel
1. HDMI INPUT: Four HDMI® ports for connecting the HDMI
source devices.
2. HDMI OUTPUT: Two HDMI ports for connecting HDMI
displays.

3. AUDIO OUT: S/PDIF digital optical and 3.5mm TRS analog
audio outputs for connecting an external amplifier or
powered speakers for playback of the extracted audio.
4. DC 5V: DC barrel connector for connecting the included
AC power adapter.
Remote Control
1. OUTPUT A: Press one of the IN#
buttons to directly select the
numbered input for OUT A. Press
the ◄ button to select the
previous input or press the ►
button to select the next input.
The corresponding LED in the OUT
A section on the front panel will
illuminate to indicate the selected
input.
2. OUTPUT B: Press one of the IN# buttons to directly select
the numbered input for OUT B. Press the ◄ button to
select the previous input or press the ► button to select
the next input. The corresponding LED in the OUT B
section on the front panel will illuminate to indicate the
selected input.

3. AUDIO: Press the A or B button to extract the audio from
OUT A or OUT B. The corresponding LED in the AUDIO
section on the front panel will illuminate to indicate the
selected output.
