Please read this entire manual before using this device, paying extra attention to these safety warnings and guidelines. Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
• Do not exceed the rated weight limit. Doing so can cause the mount to fail, resulting in equipment
damage and/or severe personal injury.
• Ensure that the structure to which this mount will be installed is capable of supporting at least four
times the total weight of the mount and any connected displays.
• Use the supplied mounting screws. Tighten the screws using the appropriate tool, but take care
not to over-tighten them.
• This device is intended for indoor use only.
• This device contains small parts that could pose a choking hazard to small children. Keep this
device and its spare parts out of reach of children.
• Inspect the installation at least once every three months to ensure that it is secure and safe to use.
• Please take an inventory of the package contents to ensure you have all the items shown in the
Parts List. If anything is missing or damaged, please contact Monoprice Customer Service for a
replacement.

FEATURES
Mount your television conveniently above your fireplace using this Above Fireplace Mount. It
is capable of supporting televisions weighing between 11 and 62 lbs. with VESA® patterns
compatible from 100x100mm to 600x500mm. The mount can be pulled down to eye level for
comfortable viewing. The mount allows you to move the television safely away from the heat
when the fireplace is in use.
Additional Features Include:

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
1. Use a thermometer to assess the temperature above the fireplace. The temperature at the
front of the fireplace mantel must never exceed 100 degree F. Additionally, if the wall is warm
to touch it is not suitable for installation.
2. For installation to wooden studs, ensure that the studs are spaced no more than 24 in. apart
and the dry wall is no more than 5/8" thick. The studs should be symmetrically positioned or
the installation will not be symmetrical to the fireplace mantel.
3. The fireplace mantel must extend no more than 24 in. (60.9 cm) from the surface of the wall

4. This mount is intended for flat screen televisions (LCD, LED, Plasma) only. The
mounted television should be between 55 ~ 80" and weigh between 55~132 lbs.

INSTALLATION
Use a tape measure to determine the center point of the mantel. Mark the centerline with a
pencil or tape.
Use a stud finder to locate the two studs on the wall and measure the distance between the
two.
