Quick Install Guide
INTRODUCTION
This 120-Watt Speaker Volume Control features audiophile sound quality, with virtually no
high-end or low-end roll-off. It has a non-shorting design, which prevents amplifier
termination. It uses a 12-position switch, which offers a total of 36dB attenuation, with Off,
two 6dB, seven 3dB, and full on settings. The package includes white, almond, and ivory
plastic inserts and knobs.
INSTALLATION
Perform the following steps to install this volume control to your stereo system. These
instructions assume that you have already installed the speaker pair and low-voltage
mounting bracket at the desired locations.
1. Ensure that the amplifier is turned off and unplugged from its power source.
2. Run an in-wall rated speaker wire from the left-channel speaker to the low-voltage
mounting bracket.
3. Connect the wire to the left channel speaker, taking note of the wire colors or
markings used for the positive (+) and negative (-) connections.
For best results, always use the same wire colors or markings for the positive and negative
connections.

4. Connect the other end of the left-channel speaker wire to the L+ and L- Output
terminals on the volume control, taking care to match the polarity.
5. Run an in-wall rated speaker wire from the right-channel speaker to the low-voltage
mounting bracket.
6. Connect the wire to the right channel speaker, taking note of the wire colors or
markings used for the positive (+) and negative (-) connections.
7. Connect the other end of the right-channel speaker wire to the R+ and R- Output
terminals on the volume control, taking care to match the polarity.
8. Run an in-wall rated speaker wire from the low-voltage mounting bracket to the
amplifier.
9. Connect wire to the L+ and L- Input terminals on the volume control, taking note of
the wire colors or markings used for the positive (+) and negative (-) connections.
10. Connect the wire the left-channel speaker output on the amplifier, taking care to
match the polarity.
11. Run a second in-wall rated speaker wire from the low-voltage mounting bracket to
the amplifier.
12. Connect the right-channel amplifier wire to the R+ and R- Input terminals on the
volume control, taking note of the wire colors or markings used for the positive (+)
and negative (-) connections.
13. Connect the wire the right-channel speaker output on the amplifier, taking care to
match the polarity.
14. Install the volume control into the low-
voltage mounting bracket, taking care
to ensure that the wires do not come
loose from their connections or become
pinched or shorted.
15. Slide the volume control up to the maximum position.
16. Set the volume control on the amplifier to the minimum level.
17. Plug in and power on the amplifier.
