This device is intended for indoor use only.

Ensure that power is turned off and disconnected before making any electrical
connections.
Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or
detergents. For stubborn deposits, moisten the cloth with warm water.
This device has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or
modify this device.

INTRODUCTION
This Dual DisplayPort® & USB KVM Switch allows you to use either of two DisplayPort
equipped PCs with a single dual display, keyboard, mouse, USB, and audio workstation.
It features two sets of dual DisplayPort video inputs and a dual DisplayPort video
output, as well as connections for a USB keyboard, USB mouse, headphones or
speakers, microphone, and USB data connections.

1. PC1 LED: The LED illuminates when the PC1 source is selected.
2. PC2 LED: The LED illuminates when the PC2 source is selected.
3. Power LED: The LED illuminates when power is applied.
4. Select Button: Momentarily press the button to switch between the PC1 and PC2
sources.

Rear Panel
1. DC 5V: DC barrel connector for connecting the included AC power adapter.
2. Console Headphone: 3.5mm TRS jack for connecting a pair of headphones or
speakers.
3. Console Microphone: 3.5mm TS jack for connecting a microphone.
4. Console Mouse: USB port for connecting a USB mouse.
5. Console Keyboard: USB port for connecting a USB keyboard.
6. Console USB: Two USB 2.0 ports for connecting USB peripherals other than the
keyboard and mouse.
7. Console DisplayPort: Two DisplayPort® video ports for connecting one or two
DisplayPort monitors.
8. PC2 Inputs: Two DisplayPort video inputs, one USB Type-B port, one 3.5mm TRS
jack for connecting the audio output of the second PC, and one 3.5mm TS jack
for connecting the microphone input to the second PC.
9. PC1 Inputs: Two DisplayPort video inputs, one USB Type-B port, one 3.5mm TRS
jack for connecting the audio output of the first PC, and one 3.5mm TS jack for

SAMPLE CONNECTION DIAGRAM
INSTALLATION
1. Power off and disconnect from its power source each device that will be
connected to the switch.
2. Using a DisplayPort® cable (not included), plug one end into the DisplayPort
input on your first monitor, then plug the other end into the Console DisplayPort
1 port on the switch.
3. Using a DisplayPort® cable (not included), plug one end into the DisplayPort
input on your second monitor, then plug the other end into the Console
DisplayPort 2 port on the switch.
4. Plug a USB keyboard into the Console Keyboard port on the switch.
5. Plug a USB mouse into the Console Mouse port on the switch.
6. (Optional) Plug a pair of speakers or a headset into the Console Headphone jack
on the switch.
7. (Optional) Plug a microphone with a 3.5mm plug into the Console Microphone
jack on the switch.

8. (Optional) Plug a USB hub and/or other USB devices into the Console USB ports
on the switch.
9. Using a DisplayPort® cable (not included), plug one end into PC1 DisplayPort 1
port on the switch, then plug the other end into the first DisplayPort video
output on your first computer.
10. Using a DisplayPort cable (not included), plug one end into PC1 DisplayPort 2
port on the switch, then plug the other end into the second DisplayPort video
output on your first computer.
11. Using a USB Type-A to Type-B cable (not included), plug the Type-B end into the
PC1 USB port on the switch, then plug the Type-A end into a USB port on your
first computer.
Note: In order for the switching function to work, the first connection must be to a
computer. The other connections can be to computers, consoles, Blu-ray Disc™ players,
or other devices with DisplayPort® video output.
12. Using a DisplayPort® cable (not included), plug one end into PC2 DisplayPort 1
port on the switch, then plug the other end into the first DisplayPort video
output on your second computer.
13. Using a DisplayPort cable (not included), plug one end into PC2 DisplayPort 2
port on the switch, then plug the other end into the second DisplayPort video
output on your first computer.
14. Plug the Type-B end of a USB Type-A to Type-B cable (not included) into the
PC2 USB port on the rear panel, then plug the Type-A end into a USB port on
your second computer.
15. Plug one end of the included AC Power Adapter into the DC 5V jack on the rear
panel, then plug the other end into a nearby AC power outlet.
16. Plug in and power on your first computer.
17. Wait for it to fully boot to the desktop, then verify that you can view the video
and control it using the keyboard and mouse. If you connected a microphone,
speakers/headset, and/or USB device(s), verify that they work, as well.
18. Press the Select button on the front panel, then plug in and power on your
second computer.

The switch can respond to several hotkey commands. The basic form of the hotkey
command is to tap the CAPS LOCK key twice, then tap the command key(s). The
following table shows the various hotkey commands that can be performed. The
individual keys to be tapped are separated with commas.
Note that the # above can only be a single digit.
