INTRODUCTION
This Blackbird™ 1x4 HDMI® Splitter for TV Walls is designed to combine multiple video
outputs into a single video image spanning multiple displays. The embedded video scaling
system converts any input signal to the native resolution of the connected displays. It
supports individual video resolutions up to 1080p@60Hz, can be cascaded up to four times,
and supports video walls using up to 9 displays in a 3x3 configuration, when using two
units. It can be controlled using the front panel buttons, the included IR remote control,
RS-232 serial control, or TCP/IP LAN controlled.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Front Panel
1. Power LED: The LED illuminates green when the TV wall is powered on and red
when it is in standby mode.
2. IR Receiver Window: Point the included IR remote control at the IR Receiver
Window to control the TV wall.
Rear Panel
1. CONTROL: Plug an RJ-45 Ethernet cable into the TCP/IP port for computer LAN
control of the TV wall. Plug the included RS-232 cable into the RS-232 port for
computer RS-232 control. Plug the included 38kHz IR receiver into the IR EXT jack if
the IR Receiver Window is inaccessible, then position the IR bulb where it can
receive signals from the included IR remote control.
2. OUTPUT: Plug a pair of powered speakers into the 3.5mm AUDIO jack. Plug a coaxial
S/PDIF digital audio cable into the COAX RCA jack to connect to an external
amplifier. Four HDMI® TV wall outputs and one HDMI LOOP OUT for connecting a
local display or to cascade multiple units.
3. INPUT: USB port for connecting a USB drive. HDMI port for connecting an HDMI
video source device.

4. DC 12V: DC barrel connector for connecting the included AC power adapter.
Remote Control
1. Power: Press the Power button to turn the TV
wall on or off.
2. Rotate: Press the Rotate button to rotate the
video image 90 degrees for use with the 2x1,
3x1, and 4x1 TV wall configurations.
3. Input Select: Press the HDMI button to select
the HDMI® input or the USB button to select
the USB input.
4. Video Control: Press the Auto button for VGA
input auto adjustment function. Press the
Zoom button to zoom the input in or out. Press
the button in the center for USB input source
control.
5. Audio Control: Press the Mute button to turn
audio muting on or off. Press the + button to increase the volume level. Press the -
button decrease the volume level.
6. TV Wall Mode: Press one of the numbered buttons (1-4) in the H section to set the
number of screens the video will span horizontally. Press one of the numbered
buttons (1-4) in the V section to set the number of screens the video will span
vertically.
7. TV Wall Bezel Correction: Use these buttons to adjust the bezel size of the image in
zoom-in mode to make the whole image look correct.
8. Resolution: Use these buttons to set the video resolution of the TV wall. You can
select 1080p, 720p, 1360x768, or 1024x768.
