INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this DVI to SDI Video Converter from Monoprice! This simple converter allows you to view DVI source material on one or two SDI
displays or to transmit DVI video source material into an SDI network. It also supports analog stereo audio input, which is combined with the DVI video into the final SDI signal. Installation is easy, with no hardware switches or software settings to worry about.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
1. Left Audio Input Jack: Use an RCA cable (not included) to connect the left channel audio.
2. Right Audio Input Jack: Use an RCA cable (not included) to connect the right channel audio.
3. DVI Video Input: Use a DVI-D cable (not included) to connect a digital DVI video source.
4. SDI Video Output: Use an SDI cable (not included) to connect the converter to an SDI display or other SDI device.
5. SDI Video Output: Use an SDI cable (not included) to connect the converter to an SDI display or other SDI device.
6. DC Power Jack: Plug the DC connector on the included AC adapter into this jack.
7. Power Indicator: This LED indicator glows red when power is applied to the converter.
SDI CABLES
SDI cables are constructed using RG-6 or RG-59 75-ohm coaxial cable, terminated with BNC connectors on each end.

INSTALLATION
Perform the following steps to connect the converter to a DVI video source, an analog audio source, and one or more SDI output devices.
1. Ensure that your SDI display(s), or other device(s), your DVI video source device, and your analog audio source device are powered OFF.
2. Plug one end of an SDI cable (not included) into the video input of your SDI display or other device.
3. Plug the other end of the SDI cable into one of the SDI outputs (4 or 5) on the converter.
4. (Optional) Repeat steps 2-3 for a second SDI display or device.
5. Plug one end of a DVI-D cable (not included) into the DVI input port (3) on the video converter.
6. Plug the other end of the DVI-D cable into the video output of your DVI video source device.
7. Plug an RCA cable (not included) into the Left Channel audio input jack (1) on the video converter.
8. Plug the other end of the RCA cable into the Left Channel audio output jack on your audio source device.
9. Plug an RCA cable (not included) into the Right Channel audio input jack (222) on the video converter.
10. Plug the other end of the RCA cable into the Right Channel audio output jack on your audio source device.
11. Plug the DC connector on the AC adapter into the DC Power Jack (6) on the video converter.
12. Plug the AC adapter into a nearby power outlet.
13. Power on your SDI display(s) or other device(s).
14. Power on your DVI video source device and your analog audio source. Start playback of your audio/video source.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Q1: The converter is connected, but there is no video on the connected display. A1: Double-check all connections. Try using different video cables. Ensure that the AC
adapter is plugged into the converter and into an AC power source. Verify that you are using a DVI-D cable. Verify that your source is a digital DVI-D source.
Q2: The SDI output has video, but no audio can be heard. A2: Double-check the audio connections. Verify that your source material contains
audio. Try using different audio cables.
