Warning: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back), no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualiﬁed service personnel.

This lightning ﬂash with an arrow head symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufﬁcient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to the persons.

This exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to presence of important maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of ﬁre or electrical shock, do not expose the AirStream 10 to •

rain or moisture.

The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and objects •

ﬁlled with liquids, such as vases, shall not be placed on the apparatus. As with any electronic product, use care not to spill liquids into any part of the system. Liquids can cause a failure and/or a ﬁre hazard.

No naked ﬂame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the •

apparatus.

Use ONLY the power adaptor provided with the radio. If damaged, a new unit •

can be obtained from Monitor Audio.

The marking information is located at the bottom enclosure of the apparatus•

Important Operating Instructions

This product must be used indoors. It is neither designed nor tested for use •

outdoors, in recreation vehicles, or on boats.

Where the mains plug is used as the disconnect device, such disconnect •

device should remain readily operable.

Power Cord Protection

The power supply cord should be routed so that it is not likely to be stepped on or pinched by items placed upon or against it.

Water & Moisture

AirStream 10 should not be used near water - for example, a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, and washing machine, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool. Under no circumstance should plants, vases or ﬁsh bowls be placed on the product. Please ensure that no liquid is spilt on the appliance, especially on the panel where the power cord/cables enter the product. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and any object ﬁlled with liquids, such as vases shall not be placed on it.

WARNING: Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can

cause hearing loss.’ Headphones are not supplied with the product. These must be purchased seperately.

Heat/Humidity

AirStream 10 should not be placed near any heat source such as radiators, open ﬁres, stoves, direct sunlight, or any other appliance that produces heat. Nor should it be placed beside equipment that produces steam, such as a kettle.

Damage Requiring Service

Qualiﬁed personnel should service the appliance when:

The power cord or plug has been damaged. • Liquid has been spilt anywhere on the AirStream 10 or mains power adaptor. • The AirStream 10 has been dropped or the enclosure damaged. • The AirStream 10 does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked •

change in its performance.

The procedures outlined in the troubleshooting section do not resolve your •

problem.

Power

Switch off the unit when you don’t use it. Switch off the unit and disconnect it from the AC power supply when it is not being used for a long time. The mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable at any time.

Servicing

The user should not attempt to service the appliance.

Cleaning

Wipe your AirStream 10 clean with a soft dry cloth to remove any dust. A soft brush will remove any dust from the grille cloth. DO NOT use solvents to clean any part of the system.

Valid upon completion of on-line registration at www.monitoraudio.co.uk/warranty. This equipment has been fully tested prior to dispatch from the factory. Both the craftsmanship and the performance of this product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for the period of one year from the date of purchase (see conditions below), provided that the product was supplied by an authorised Monitor Audio retailer under the consumer sale agreement. (The words ‘consumer sale’ shall be construed in accordance with section 15 of the supply of goods act 1973). Monitor Audio accepts no responsibility for defects arising from accident, misuse, abuse, wear and tear, modiﬁcation or operation outside of that speciﬁed within this manual. Neither will responsibility be accepted for damage or loss occurring during transit to or from the parties claiming under this guarantee. This guarantee covers both labour and parts. The liability of Monitor Audio is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the defective parts (at the discretion of Monitor Audio) and under no circumstances extends to consequential losses or damage.

CLAIMS UNDER THIS GUARANTEE

The equipment should be returned in its original packaging to the original supplier. If it is not possible to return the equipment by hand, then it should be sent carriage pre-paid via a reputable carrier. This guarantee does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer under UK law.

Pour réduire le risque d’incendie ou d’électrocution, ne pas exposer l’AirStream •

10 à la pluie ou l’humidité.

Ne pas exposer l’appareil à des gouttes ou éclaboussures, et ne poser aucun •

objet rempli de liquide (tel qu’un vase) sur celui-ci. Comme avec tout produit électronique, veiller à ne pas renverser le moindre liquide dans une des parties du système. Les liquides risquent de provoquer une panne et/ou un risque

Dépoussiérer l’AirStream 10 à l’aide d’un chiffon sec. Dépoussiérer le treillis en tissu des enceintes avec une brosse douce. NE JAMAIS utiliser de solvant pour nettoyer l’appareil.

Garantie valide après l’enregistrement en ligne sur www.monitoraudio.co.uk/ warranty. Cet équipement a été intégralement testé avant son expédition. La qualité de sa fabrication et son bon fonctionnement sont garantis contre les défauts de fabrication pendant une période d’un an à compter de la date d’achat (Cf. conditions ci-dessous), sous réserve que le produit ait été fourni par un revendeur Monitor Audio agréé dans le cadre du contrat de vente au consommateur (les mots « vente au consommateur » étant interprétés selon la section 15 du « Supply of goods act » de 1973). RéCLAMATIONS DANS LE CADRE DE CETTE GARANTIE
