Pathfi nder ti. This watch has
been carefully designed to give you years
of reliable service. The design incorporates
the latest watchmaking technology and
features like a solid titanium case and antiglare mineral crystal. Please let us know if
you have any comments or suggestions as
to how we might improve our products.
USING THE SCREW CROWN (C):
Your watch is equipped with a screw-down,
locking crown “C”. This screws into the case,
to ensure a reliable water tight seal. To set
your watch, you must fi rst unscrew the
crown by turning it counter-clockwise 3-4
turns, then pull out gently from the case for
setting. After setting or resetting the watch,
you will need to screw the crown back in,
by pressing it fi rmly against the case (it is
spring-loaded) and simultaneously turning
it in a clockwise direction. Then, taking
care not to force or cross-thread the crown,
turn it until it is snug against the case
and fi nger-tight. It is absolutely essential
that the screw down crown is fully closed
before using your watch in or around water
and we recommend that this is checked
prior to contact with water. Any warranty
whatsoever will be invalidated if this vital
procedure is not adhered to. Watches
returned within the warranty period that
have suffered from water penetration will be
pressure tested to check the effectiveness
of the screw down crown.
SETTING TH E TIME AND DATE
To set the watch, fi rst unscrew the crown.
Once unscrewed, the crown can be pulled
out two “stops”. The fi rst position is the
DATE / ALARM setting position, and
the second position is the Time setting
position.
To ensure that the date changes correctly,
pull the crown out one stop, to the DATE
/ ALARM setting position. Turn the crown
counter-clockwise until the date in the date
window at 3 o’clock shows yesterday’s date.
Then, pull the crown out one more stop
to the Time Setting position and turn the
hands forward until the date in the date
window changes to the current date. Keep
turning the hands forward until you reach
the correct time. Once the time is set, press
in and screw down the crown. NOTE: If you
set the watch after 12 o’clock noon, make
sure you turn the hands around the dial and
past 12 o’clock (noon) to set the PM time. If
you do not do this, the date will change at
noon, instead of midnight.
SETTING TH E ALARM
To set the alarm, fi rst unscrew the crown.
Once unscrewed, pull the crown out one
stop, to the DATE / ALARM setting position.
Now turn the crown clockwise, so the
ALARM hand (the hand with the red arrow
tip) is aligned with the time you wish to
wake up. Once the ALARM is set, press in a
screw in the crown fi rmly.
TURNING TH E ALARM ON / OFF
Once the desired time has been set as
outlined above, turn the alarm on by pulling
out the ALARM button (A).
When the alarm sounds, turn it off by simply
pressing the ALARM button (A) gently into
the case.
THE SNOOZE FE ATURE
Please note that if you do not turn off
the alarm by pressing in button A, it will
sound for approximately 10 seconds, then
automatically shut off and go into snooze
mode. This causes the alarm to sound
several times at approximate 3 minute
intervals.
NIGHT- READING
Your watch employs an amazing new
luminous material called BLACKOUT
SUPERLUMINOUS. This technology allows
you to read your watch at night, without
pushing any buttons, so you do not need
to use two hands. Just glance at your
watch and read the time. Completely nonradioactive, BLACKOUT SUPERLUMINOUS
functions by charging from ambient light.
The brighter the light, the faster and more
powerful the “charge”. When new, we
recommend you set it in direct sunlight for
30 minutes to charge it up for maximum
effect, but normal room lighting will
generally charge your watch enough to be
legible for several hours.
WATER PROTE CTI ON
The Pathfi nder ti is designed as a rugged
sports watch. Each watch is waterproof
tested to 10 ATM (330 FT) and can be
immersed in water, provided the crown
is correctly screwed in and the alarm
button is in the ‘off’ position. If the watch is
regularly serviced and maintained, you can
wear it in the shower, swimming, kayaking,
etc., without worry.
CHOOSING TH E RIGHT BAND
A selection of alternate bands are available
to fi t your watch: these may include natural
rubber, Cordura®, ‘Snowboard’ nylon,
various styles of high quality leather bands,
or a matching metal bracelet. If you would
like to order an alternate band for your
watch, please contact your dealer, or our
Service Centre, or visit
www.momentumwatch.com.
CRYSTAL
Your watch is fi tted with a heat-tempered
mineral crystal. Please note that while glass
is heat-hardened, an impact with a hard
or sharp object can scratch the crystal, or
crack or shatter it. If this happens, return
the watch to one of our Service Centers and
the crystal can be replaced for a moderate
charge. (Scratches and impact damage are
not covered under warranty.) A completely
scratchproof sapphire crystal (now standard
on S-Series models) is available at extra
cost from our Service department.
TEMPERATURE CARE
Avoid temperature extremes. Exposing your
watch to high temperatures, such as placing
it on the dashboard of a vehicle or use in
a jacuzzi or hot tub may cause the watch
to malfunction, shorten battery life, or
cause deformations of certain components
leading to mechanical failures. Leaving the
watch in extreme cold temperatures may
cause irregular time keeping until the watch
returns to normal operating temperatures.
For these reasons, you should remove your
watch prior to exposure.
TWO YEAR WARRANTY
Great care has been taken to ensure that
your watch will give you many years of
reliable service. It is guaranteed for two
years against any defect caused by a fault
in its manufacture*. Please retain your
purchase receipt as proof of warranty. The
best possible materials and components
have gone into your watch. To keep it in
top condition, please treat it with care and
have it professionally serviced at regular
intervals.
* Loss or damage caused by accident,
negligence, or opening, repair by
unauthorized persons is excluded from
this warranty, as is cosmetic deterioration
of the case or bracelet caused by wear
& tear or abuse and dama ge caused by
cracked or b roken crystals. Bat tery life
is not covered under warranty. Moisture
damage ca used by failure to screw in the
crown correctly and/or leavin g the alarm
in the ‘on’ position is also not covere d
under war ranty.
2/4/6 YEAR EXTENDED
WARR ANTY
Please retain your purchase receipt for
proof of warranty. After the initial 2-year
warranty expires, we recommend that
you extend your warranty by sen ding
your watch to a St. Moritz / Momentum
®
Service Centre for a Full Service*.
This is a charg eable service which
includes: battery replacement, cleaning,
lubrication, and accuracy tuning of the
movement as required, lubrication or
replaceme nt of all seals , pressure testing
to origina l specifi cation, return ship ping
and insura nce (within Can ada and the US
only), and a 2 year warranty exte nsion.
After 4 years , send it in for a nother Full
Service a nd extend the warranty for a
fi nal two years (for a total of 6 years from
original purchase date). Nobody knows
your watch like we d o! Exper t technicia ns,
original parts an d the latest equipment
will ensure that your watch is serviced
right.
* Full Service Pa ckages include an
extension of the origina l warranty (up
to 6 years from original purchase date),
for as long as parts are available. Please
note, however, that a Full Se rvice for older,

Votre nouvelle montre a été conçue
pour donner plusieurs années de service
fi able. Si vous avez un commentaire

EMPLOI DE L A COURONNE VISÉE (C)
i) Dévisser la couronne dans le sens 12h
~6h en position 1.
ii) Tirer la couronne jusqu’au premier
cran (2) pour mettre la date (tourner a
gauche) et le réveil (tourner a droite).
iii) Tirer la couronne à fond, jusqu’au 2e
cran (3) pour mettre l’heure exacte.
iii) Repousser la couronne et revisser
selon indications ci-dessous.
Pour revisser la couronne:
> appuyer légèrement sur la couronne
en la tournant à droite dans le sens de
6h~12h jusqu’à ce qu’une résistance
soit ressentie. Ne pas forcer!
> Une espace de 0.05mm doit subsister
entre la couronne et la boîte. Les
joints comprimés constituent une
fermeture étanche.
> N’oubliez pas de toujours revisser la
couronne!
POUR CHANGER LA DATE
N.B. Il ne faut jamais mettre la date
entre minuit et 4 h du matin. Repousser
la couronne légèrement en position 2.
Tourner à gauche pour mettre la date
d’aujourd’hui. (S’il s’agit d’un mois de
moins de 31 jours, il va falloir avancer la
date à la fi n du mois.) La date changera
à minuit.
(NB Si la mise a l’heure s’effectue après
midi, il faut avancer les aiguilles au
moins 12 heures avant de mettre l’heure
exacte… sinon, la date changera a
midi!)
L’E MP LO I DU RÉVE IL
Apres avoir mis le réveil, il suffi t de
tirer légèrement sur le poussoir “A“
pour l’armer. Pour éteindre, appuyer le
poussoir légèrement contre le boîtier.
SNOOZE
Si le réveil sonne, et si vous n’appuyez
pas sur le poussoir A, il s’éteindra
automatiquement après quelques 10
secondes. Environ toutes le 3 minutes, il
sonnera de nouveau jusqu’à ce que vous
éteigniez, ou quand l’aiguille des heures
s’éloigne de l’aiguille du réveil. (Flèche
rouge)
CADRAN/AIGUILLES BLACKOUT SUPERLUMINOUS
Le cadran de votre monter emploi une
peinture superlumineuse spéciale qui
vous permettra de lire l’heure, même
en obscurité totale. La peinture est
chargée par la lumière : une lumière
forte la rendra lisible pour une période
de jusqu’à 8 heures.
L’ÉTANCHÉITÉ
Chaque montre Pathfi nder est testée
étanche à une profondeur de 100M (330
pieds). Pour assurer l’étanchéité, il suffi t
de bien visser la couronne et de vous
assurer que le réveil soit éteint. (Poussoir
“A“ bien appuyé contre le boîtier.)
BRACELETS DISPONIBLES
La Pathfi nder est une montre de
sport : nos bracelets (cuir, Kevlar,
Technocarbone, etc.) sont de la plus
haute qualité et résisteront à l’immersion
mieux que d’autres bracelets. Ceci dit,
si vous aimeriez porter fréquemment
votre montre dans l’eau / dans la douche,
on vous suggère de mettez un bracelet
étanche. (En titane ou en caoutchouc).
Pour des renseignements ou des conseils,

service après-vente.
LE VERRE
Votre montre comporte un verre minéral
trempé, pour résister aux rayures. Ceci
dit, on vous prie de noter que le verre
n’est pas inrayable. Une impacte peut
rayer ou briser le verre: si cela arrive,
on vous prie de renvoyer la montre
sans délai à notre département de
service après-vente. Une glace saphir
inrayable (comprise pour tous les
modèles de la S-Series) est disponible
sur n’importe quel modèle pour un coût
supplémentaire.
GARANTIE DE 2 ANS
Votre montre a été construite pour vous
assurer plusieurs années de service
fi able. Elle est garantie contre tout
défaut de fabrication* pour une période
initiale de 2 ans. On vous suggère de la
renvoyer tous les 2 ans pour un service
après-vente à l’usine. Cela assurera à
long-terme l’étanchéité et la fi abilité de
votre montre.
* Perte ou dommages dus à un accident,
ou causés par l’ouverture de la boîte
par des personnes non autorisées sont
exclus de cette garantie, tout comme
la détérioration cosmétique de la boîte
ou du bracelet causée par la portée ou
l’abus. La durée de vie de la pile n’est pas
couvert sous la garantie. Les dommages
causées par l’entrée de l’humidité n’est
pas compris, si la couronne n’était pas
bien visée contre la boîte.
GARANTIE PROLONGÉE 2/4/6 ANS
Deux ans après l’achat de votre montre,
on vous suggère de la renvoyer au Centre
de Service Momentum® le plus proche,
pour une «Révision Complète». Cette
révision comprend: le nettoyage, la
lubrifi cation et le contrôle de la précision
comme nécessaire; la lubrifi cation ou
le remplacement de tous les joints
caoutchouc; la refermeture et le contrôle
de l’étanchéité de la boîte ; les frais de
renvoi et l’assurance; et la prolongation
de 2 ans de la garantie originale. A la
fi n de 4 ans, une deuxième révision
complète prolongera la garantie pour
2 ans de plus, jusqu’à 6 ans. Personne
ne connaît votre montre comme nous!
Nos techniciens/horlogiers experts, des
pièces de rechange originales, et une
technologie horlogère de pointe vous
assureront un service après-vente sans
égale.

GARANTIE
Für die oben genannte Uhr gewähren wir
Voll-Garantie auf –Wasserdichtheit – und
Funktion des Uhrwerks. Schäden, Fehler
oder Veränderungen, welche durch
natürliche Abnutzung, Alterung oder
unsachgemäße Behandlung verursacht
wurden, unterliegen nicht der Garantie.
Armband, Glas und Zubehörteile sind
von jeglicher Garantie ausgeschlossen.
Die Batterielebensdauer ist durch
unvermeidbare Inbetriebnahme seit
Verlassen der Fabrik und der hernach
erfolgten Lagerung auf dem
Vertriebsweg zwangsläufi g verkürzt,
weshalb auch hier keinerlei Gewähr
geleistet werden kann. Ebenso ist
Korrosionsbildung durch ungenügende
Reinigung sowie Rissbildung an
Kunststoff- oder Gummibändern von
der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen
(Alterung). Entsteht durch Wassereintritt
ins Gehäuse ein Schaden und es kann
nachgewiesen werden, dass die Uhr
mit unverschraubt belassener Krone im
Wasser getragen wurde, weil die Uhr in
unserem Prüfgerät anschließend mit
verschraubter Krone als wasserdicht
gemessen und ausgewertet wurde, so
ist dies ebenfalls kein Garantiefall. Die
Garantie erlischt durch Fremdeingriff.
Als Fremdeingriff ist jegliches Öffnen
der Uhr durch nicht ausdrücklich von
uns autorisierter Stelle zu betrachten.
Wir übernehmen keinerlei Haftung für
Schäden, die durch Verwendung dieser
Uhr entstehen (Tauchunfälle).
GEBRAUCHSANWEISUNG FÜR DIE
VERSCHRAUBTE KRONE “C“ (RECHTSGEWINDE)
1. Krone nach links aufschrauben in
Position 1.
2. Weiteres Herausziehen in Position
2 ermöglicht die Einstellung des
Datums (nach links drehen) oder des
Weckers (nach rechts drehen).
3. Herausziehen in Position 3 zur
Zeiteinstellung. Hierbei wird auch die
Sekunde angehalten.
4. Krone wieder ganz eindrücken und
vorsichtig im Gewinde verschrauben.
Krone schrauben - Krone leicht gegen
das Gehäuse drücken und gleichzeitig
nach rechts (Uhrzeigersinn) bis
auf Anschlag drehen. Keine Gewalt
anwenden. Die Krone muß in das
Gehäuse geschraubt sein, damit die
Uhr wasserdicht bleibt.
EIN- UND AUSSCHALTEN DER WECKER
Alarmknopf “A“ herausziehen zum
einschalten. Wieder hineindrücken zum
ausschalten.
“SNOOZE“
Falls der Alarmknopf “A“ nicht
hineingedrückt werden sollte, dann
schaltet sich der Alarm nach ungefähr
10 Sekunden automatisch aus. Der
Alarm schaltet sich dann etwa alle 3
Minuten wieder ein, bis der Alarmknopf
hineingedrückt ist, oder bis der
Stundenzeiger sich vom Alarmzeiger
entfernt.
LEUCHTZIFFERBLATT (BLACKOUT
SUPERLUMINOUS)
Das Pathfi nder- Zifferblatt ist mit
einer ganz besonderen Leuchtfarbe
impregniert; dieses wird vom Licht
aufgeladen, sodaß es im Dunkeln bis zu
8 Stunden ablesbar ist. Je stärker das
Licht (z.b. Sonnenlicht), desto heller und
länger wird das Zifferblatt „glühen“.
Wichtig ist, daß diese neuentwickelte
Leuchtfarbe kein radioaktives Material
enthält.
WASSERDICHTIGKEIT
Jede Pathfi nder Uhr ist bis 10ATU/100M
wasserdicht getestet. Wird die Zeit
oder das Datum neueingestellt, dann
muss die verschraubte Krone wieder
richtig eingeschraubt werden, um die
Wasserdichtigkeit der Uhr zu versichern.
DAS RICHTIGE ARMBAND.
Die Momentum® ist eine Sportuhr:

Armbänder (Leder, Kevlar,
Technocarbon) halten besser als
herkömmliche Uhrenarmbänder, auch
wenn sie gelegentlich naß werden.
Sollten sie regelmässig mit Ihrer Uhr
ins Wasser gehen, dann empfehlen
wir ein Momentum
®
Band aus Titan
oder Gummi. Original Ersatzbaender
sind beim Momentum
®
Haendler, oder
direkt bei www.momentumwatch.com
erhaeltlich.
ZWEI JAHRES GARANTIE
Jede Momentum® Uhr ist gegen
Fabrikationsfehler* garantiert für eine
Grundzeit von zwei Jahren. Sollte ein
solcher Fehler festgestellt werden, wird
die Uhr kostenlos in einer von unseren
Service Centren repariert oder, wenn
keine Reparatur möglich ist, ersetzt.
*Siehe “GARANTIE“ Einzelheiten oben.
VERLÄNGERUNG DER GARANTIE BIS
6 JAHRE
Nachdem die zweijahres-Grundgarantie
abgelaufen ist, können Sie Ihre Uhr für einen
“Full Service“ an uns zurückschicken.
Gegen eine Gebühr wird die Batterie
ersetzt, alle Gummidichtungen
geprüft oder ersetzt, das Gehäuse
richtig versiegelt und die Uhr an Sie
zurückgeschickt. Im Preis inbegriffen
ist eine automatische Verlängerung der
Garantie, um weitere zwei Jahre. Nach
4 Jahren, können Sie uns Ihre Uhr für
einen zweiten “Full Service“ schicken,
um die Garantie noch weitere zwei Jahre
zu verlängern. (6 Jahre insgesamt.)
