Please, observe traffi c regulati ons and do not lend y our scooter to anyone w ho is unf amil iar w it h it. This product is desi gned for use by a singl e person o nly; do not car ry any additional passengers while ridi ng. Pleas e, check t he limitat ions of usi ng this product ac cording to the l ocal regulat ions. The elec tric sc ooter can only be legall y used on the road by a person aged 14 years and older.
For your safety, always wear shoes, helmet, and other protective gear w hi le riding the scooter.
Practice i n open space to become familiar w it h the c ontrol m ethods befo re riding. Test y our brakes every t ime pri or to us ing the scooter and remember the scooter wil l not stop as quickly in wet or i cy conditions as it would on a dry road.
Do not ride on an unsaf e or unpaved road. Do not ride over bumps or stairs of more than 3 cm. If y ou approach rough o r uneven pavement , slow down and proc eed with caution. Pay attention t o the environment and weat her conditions. D o not ride the scooter i n poor weathe r conditions, in dark ness or with l imited visibil ity, in temperatures under 5C (41F) or ab ove 40C (104F).
Please, do not ac t dangerously w hile riding. Keep bot h hands on the han dlebars and never ride singlehand ed. Keep both feet on the sc ooter’s platform .
NEVER drink alcohol and ri de your elec tric scooter. The use of al cohol gre atly reduces reflexes and li mits your ability to ride safely. Ev en a small amount of alcohol will limit your abilit y to be safe on the road.

When receiving your scooter, your package s hould contain the followin g i tems:

● Kickstand (1, may not be incl uded, varies by scooter’s year of production)
After unpack ing, please, do not discard the box and protectiv e material until y ou test the scooter and make cert ain it is in good working condition. Contact your deal er or e-JOE Bike if any of these parts are mi ssing.

ASSEMBLY
MOMAS Carbon folding elect ric scooter is shipped 99% as s embled. In order t o ful ly ass emble t he scooter and prepare i t f or the first use, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Packing Material
Remove all pac ki ng and prot ect iv e mat erial a n d put as ide. Do not dis card t he box or any shi pping material unt il y ou t est the scooter and make certain it is in good working order.
Step 2: Frame & Handlebar Grips
Unfold the scooter’s frame and loc k it as shown on page 9. Stand the main body of the electric scooter on a kickstand OR lean it on the wall in case the scooter does not come with a kick stand (for 2016 and old er models). S crew each handleb ar grip into each side of the main t-bar by rotating them t owards the rear w heel (both grips screw in in the same dir ection towards the rear wheel).
Step 3: Batt ery & LCD Display
Turn on/off the headlight switc h by pressing and holding t he button in the front of the head tube (above t he light) to make sure it funct ions prop erly. Turn on the LCD display by pressi ng the ON/O FF button o n the r ight side of t he t-bar. I f it does not turn on, fully c harge the battery as instructed on page 8 and try again.

DISPLAY/THROTTLE/BRAKE
MOMAS carbon electri c scooter is equipped with a multifunctional LCD display: ON/OFF
To turn ON the display, press the power button (ON/OFF Sw itch) on the right side of the t-bar for one or two seconds. Repeat the act ion to turn the power OFF. I n ON state, the power supply goes from the battery t o the controller. In OFF state, t he sc ooter i s no l onger us ing t he pow er from the bat tery . If the sc oot er is not us ed for 5 minutes or mo re, the display will turn of f automatical l y.
BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL When the battery is fully charged, the display shows 5 ful l segments on the top of the screen. When the battery levels are empty and start to flash, the battery is under vol tage and needs t o be immediately charged.
GEARS To change gears (or speed lev el ) from 1 to 3, press the power butto n to set the desired speed level. The default set ting is level 1.
THROTTLE & BRAKE The scooter has a safe-start f unction. The throttle wil l not work when the s cooter is moti onless, therefore, you will need to generate pow er yourself (and bui ld up voltage) before the throttle may be used. To activ ate the scooter, place one foot on the ride board and the other foot on the ground. Using the foot on the ground, push fo rward to kick-start the ride, activate the power supply , and enable t he use of throttle to accelerat e.
The throttle is located on the right side, while the brake lev er i s placed on the left side of the t-bar.
Precautions
● Press the levers gently and nev er brake too strongly or abruptly, as it will increase c hances of falling down.
● Incline your body backward to reduce the influence of inerti a.
● Before each ri de check whether the braking function works properly.

BATTERY AND CHARGER
The battery is located inside the head tube of the scooter. When the battery is fully charged, the display shows 5 full segments on the t op of the screen. Whe n the battery levels are empty and start to flas h, the battery is under v oltage and needs to be immediately charged.
Charging Instructions:
Open the protection cover of the battery charge port on the head tube; connect the charger plug to the port. Plug the charger into t he electric outlet. The chargin g process i s running when the LED l ight on the charger i s lit red. T he battery is fully charged when the light changes from red to green.
Battery Precautions:
● Fully charge t he battery before riding.
● IMPORTANT! When the scooter i s not used, c harge the batt ery at least onc e a month to prolong the battery life and
avoid criti cal discharge. Do not store the sc ooter with the battery c harge level 2 or below. To pres erve the life of your battery, it is recommended that you do not leave your bat tery charging for periods lon ger than 48 hours.
● Store the scooter and the charger in a dry place with temperatures ranging from 5C to 40C (41-104F). The temperatures outs ide of this ran ge may harm t he bat tery an d reduc e it s l ife ex pec tanc y. D o not leave t he sc ooter in direct sunli ght or rain – overheating can cause damage to the c ells.
● Always charge the battery in a secure dry place where children cannot reach i t.
● Do not use any ot her charger ot her than t he one that came w ith your el ectric scooter. I f you need anot her char ger,
contact your local dealer or e-JOE Bike.
● Do not attempt t o open or repair your battery or charger, the elect ronics contain high press ure circuits, so do not dismantle by yourself without a professi onal .
● Avoid any cont act w ith water w hile chargi ng; prev ent liqui ds, met al, and m etal fi llings from permeati ng the c harge r, and be careful t o not drop or hit the charger which could damage its components .
● Do not put anything on top of the charger while charging; it must be well ventilated to allow the heat that is generated t o di ssipate.
● Stop chargin g the battery immediately if you notice a peculi ar smell, spark or the charger gets too hot to touch.
● It is normal that the distance range will reduc e as a result of the normal d egradation of battery cel ls, exposure t o low
or high temperatures.
● When you need to dis pose of a lithium-ion battery , either dispose of the unwanted battery through an approved recycler or send it to e-JOE and we will make sure it is properly recycled. Never dispose of batteries in a fire because they m ay explode.

FOLDING INSTRUCTIONS
MOMAS Carbon electric sc ooter can be folded for easy storage and transportation.
UNFOLDING (OPENING)
1. Check the safety lock on the right side of the s cooter’s foldi ng m echanism. If the safety l ock is inserted, pull it out to allow the scooter to unfold.
2. Hold the sc ooter with one hand on the handlebar grip, and with the other hand o n the tail part of the ride board perpendicular to the ground.
3. Push the unlocking lever under the ride board with one foot as shown on the pi cture below and unfold the scooter. You should hear a “click” sound which means the scooter has full y unfolded.
4. Check the safety lock on the right side of the s cooter’s foldi ng m echanism and make sure it is inserted this time. If the safety lock is still out of its slot, ins ert it in order to lock the scooter and avoid accidental folding.

FOLDING
1. Pull out the s afety lock to allow the scooter fold.
2. Hold the sc ooter with both hands on the handles .
3. Step on the folding l atch with one f oot.
4. Fold the scoot er by either lifting the tail part of the ride board or by lowering t he head tube onto the board.
5. Secure the saf ety lock by inserting it back in the slot to avoid accidental unfolding.
NOTE: Always remember to check the safety lock before and after folding or unfolding the sc ooter. Accidental folding/unfolding of the scooter during the ride or transportation can c ause serious dam age to the rider, people arou nd, and the product itself.

GENERAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before you ri de your scooter for the first time, please, m ake absolutel y certain that it has been correctly ass em bled. You can do this either by taking it to your nearest bicycle shop or if you are proficient in mechanics you can do the inspection yourself. You must make certain you have the handlebars, and other items correctly f itted.
Test your brakes every time prior to using the scooter and remember the scooter will not stop as quickly in wet or icy conditions as it would on a dry road.
Assuming you have protective gear and that MOMAS scooter has been placed on a level surface, is unfolded and well charged, and does not have any issues, follow the instructions below. For your safety, please carefully read this entire section before attemptin g to ride.
FOOT POSITION
Before riding, place one foot t o the front of t he ride board/pl atform, and t he other foot on the ground. Mak e sure that there are no obstacles , bumps, people or pet s in the direction w here you intend to go. Chec k the safety l ock and make sure it is inserted in the s lot. T urn on the LCD dis play. Plac e both hands on t he handles . Start the ride by kicking of f the ground with the foot that is on the g round. Plac e the fo ot on t he platform behi nd the ot her; i t wil l help you gain m ore bal ance. Once the scooter reaches approxim ately 1 mph (2km/ h), press the throttle to s tart powered accel eration.
TURNS
Before turning, look at the a pproachi ng dir ecti on and make s ure tur ning is safe. S lowly turn t he handle bars a nd lean to t he desired direc tion to turn the front wheel. Do not turn fast or abruptly as it m ay cause you to fall.
BRAKING
Tilt your w eight backwards so that the brake action com es through the feet an d not through the han dlebar and steerin g system . I t is best to learn how to adjust the cent er of gravity and balance during stopping or braking to ensure safe riding.
• Keep both hands on the handl ebars a nd neve r ride s ingle handed. K eep bot h feet on the s cooter’ s platf orm. Keep yo ur knees and elbows slightl y bent and head raised.
• Do not ride on a n unsafe or unp aved road. Do not ride ov er bumps or stairs of mo re than 3 cm. If you approac h rou gh or uneven pavement, slow down and proceed with caution.
• NEVER use a m obi le device whil e riding.
• Pay attent i on to the environment and weather conditions. Do not ri de the scoot er in bad weather conditions, in dark ness
or with limited visibi l it y, in temperatures under 5C (41F) or abov e 40C (104F).
• Please, do not ac t dange rous ly whi le riding. Respec t passers -by wit hout sc aring or pus hing them. Whe n you ap proach someone, slow down and proceed w ith caution. When y ou are in a crow d, slow down and r ide at the same speed as pedestrians until you are cert ain the path is clear. Always keep a safe distance from people, cars, and objects.
• It is recommended to ride the scooter with t he di splay ON even when you do not intend to use the throttle.
• When riding y our e-scooter a nd when the b attery pow er is low, it is rec ommended to pus h your e-scoot er as muc h as
possible and g et the battery c harged up as soon as you get to an electrical outlet .
• To help get the best distance out of your electric scooter, refrain from unnecessary brak ing and coast as much as possible.
• NEVER drink alc ohol and ride y our elec tri c s cooter. The use of alc ohol gre atl y reduc es ref lex es and l imi ts y our abili ty to ride safely. Even a small amount of alcohol will limit your ability to be saf e on the road.
• Turn off the power when parkin g.

Safety Precautions:
MOMAS Carbon el ec tri c s coot er is a person al s coot er that uses elec tri c pow er. T his tec hnolo gy c annot pr ev ent i nju ry i f y ou do not use the product as indicated in this manual. By riding a scooter, the user acknowledges and accepts the responsibility of all risks associated with the use of the MOMAS Carbon electric scooter which may include, but are not limited to, muscle injuries, broken bones, lacerations, serious injury, and possible death, which may be sustained while using the MOMAS Scooter.
MAINTENANCE
Like any other mean of transportati on, electric scooter and its components are subjec t to wear and tear. T he rate of wear depends on care a nd maintenanc e and the way of use (mileage, terrain, weat her conditi ons, et c.). The use of a scooter in competitive ev ents, aggressive riding, riding on severe terrain/c limates, riding w ith heavy loads, comm ercial activities and other types of non-standard use can dramatic ally shorten the lif e of the scooter and its compone nts. Be sure to use your scooter for its intended purpose only and t o follow the mai ntenance instruc tions.
● To keep the bes t performa nce, clean t he scoot er regularl y. Before c leaning, mak e sure the scooter i s powered of f
and not connect ed to the charge r. Dip sof t cloth is a small amount of water and wipe t he head tube, ride pl atform, and tires. To av oid corrosi on, w ipe t he scoot er with a dry cloth afterwards and st ore it in a dry locati on. D o not was h the scooter w ith alcohol, gas , diesel, acet one, or other c orrosive and volat ile chemic al solvent. These substanc es can severely dam age the surfac e and the components of the sc ooter.
● IMPORTANT! Do not attempt to open the casings of the battery, LCD display, motor, or controller; it could be
dangerous and will void any warranties by doing so. If you experience a problem, please contact our service department or y our local retail er.
● The tires and wheel s get hot after use. Do not touc h these parts af ter a ride and be sure to allow some time f or the
parts to cool down before att em pting the service.
● Leaving a scooter s tanding in the open and/or not using it for longer peri ods of time (m ore than 3 months) may be
subject to i ncreased wear through weat hering and deteriorat ion. Keep the sc ooter in a dry location wi th no direct sunlight.
● You should have your scooter and its components checked periodically by your dealer for indicators of stress
and/or potenti al failure, including crac ks, corrosion, deformation, dents, paint peeling, and any ot her indicators of potential problems, inappropriate use or abuse. These checks are important to ensure all components function safely and reli ably and to help prevent any acc idents or injuries to the rider.
WATER
• Your electric scooter is rain and splash res istant. Please, use caut ion; do not operate your scooter u nder very
bad/heavy weather conditions.
● The electric components MUST NOT be submerge d i n water.
● To prevent rus t or corrosion, dry off scooter and components after riding in wet weather and store scooter and
charger in a dry locati on.
● To avoid elect ri c shock and damage to your product, do not charge the device while it is wet or in an area where it
could get wet . Do not handle sc ooter, charger or cords with wet hands while charging.

WARRANTY
STANDARD LIMITED WARRANTY
e-JOE warrants every new MOMAS Carbon electric scooter to be free from manufacturer defects in material and/or workmanship f or the period of ONE (1) year prov ided that the pr oduct is used i n a standard and co ntrolled manner, and maintained according to its owner’s manual.
The warranty applies to t he person or entity th at originally purchased the product from e-JOE or i ts authorized dealers i n the United Stat es and C an ad a (not trans f erabl e t o a subs eq uent purch as er). T he w ar rant y peri o d comm ences u pon t he d ate of original purchase. A proof of purchase from an authoriz ed e-JOE dealer and photo/video evidence of the defect are required to receive the warranty suppo rt.
WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?
e-JOE Bikes warrants every new e-JOE product against defects in material and/or workmanship as follows:
LIMITED ONE (1) YEAR COMPONENTS WARRANTY MOMAS elect ric scoot er: handl e bars, handl ebar s leev es , t-bar, s tem, pos it ioning pi n, das hboard, throt tl e unit , brak e lev er, t -
bar tightening lever, securing latch, ride board, charging socket, kickstand, rear wheel brake, rear wheel, motor, and hardware.
LIMITED ONE (1) YEAR LITHIUM-ION BATTERY WARRANTY
Lithium-ion batteries ar e warrant ed to be fre e from manuf act urer defec ts i n materials and/or w orkmans hip for ONE (1) year period from the date of original purchase. The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of improper cha rger, improper m ai ntenance, m isuse, normal wear or water damage.
LIMITED 30 DAYS FULL REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
If an e-JOE product is not working properly because of a major manufacturer defect within the first 30 days of original purchase, e-J OE Bik e will repair or replac e any defect ive produc t at it s sole opt ion and exp ense upo n dete rminin g whether the damage, failure, or loss is due to a major manufact urer defec t. e-JOE wi ll first iss ue replacement parts for a reas onable number of tries ( as det ermi ned by e-JOE). If the pr od uct does not func t ion properl y af ter the parts repl acem ent att empt s, e­JOE will send a full replacement bicycle or scooter upon receipt and inspection of the original product and replacement parts.
e-JOE reserves t he right to c harge 10% of the product price in cas e the original p roduct is returned in a bad manner, w ith the insuffi cient protec tive mat erial, not in ac cordance with t he instruct ions provided by e-J OE, or s hows signs of excessive use, neglect, dirt, dust . A full replacement product w ill be issued only af ter such fee is paid in full.
LIMITED 7 DAYS SHIPPING DAMAGES COVERAGE
e-JOE will repair or repl ace t he p arts dama ge d duri ng shi ppi ng at it s s ole opt ion p rovi de d th at s uch dam ag e is doc ume nt ed on the bill of ladi ng or delivery receipt an d reported to the dealer or e-JOE within the first 7 days after delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to inspec t the box and the product at the time of delivery, take pic tures of any damage and keep all packaging and paperwork unt i l the damage claim process i s complete.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?
• e-JOE product w ithout present ed proof of purchase f rom an authoriz ed e-JOE deal er AN D photo/vi deo evidence of
the defect;
• e-JOE product purchased from an unauthorized e-JOE dealer;
• e-JOE product with an expired warranty perio d;
• e-JOE product transferred to a subsequent pu rchaser or owner;
• normal wear and tear (scrapes , scratches etc.);
• consumables (c omponents that are s ubject to short life and periodic repl acement due to their f unctions including,
but not limit ed to tires, tubes, brake pads, spokes, alkali ne batteries, s addle covering, paint, mineral oil, and other lubricants);
• assembly or tune-up fees;
• costs ass ociated with inspection, labor, packaging mat erial, shipping of warrant ed products ;
• damage or defec ts resulting from fai lure to follow ins tructions in the owner’s manual, improper as sembly, use of
incompatible a nd non-original parts, improp er maintenance, storage, and t ransportation, alterations, modifications , acts of God, accidents, mis use, neglect, abus e, water damage, o perator’s error, commercial activities, extreme or excessive riding, and other types of non-standard use;
• damage or def ects resulting from an at tempted repair unles s performed by an authorized e-JOE D ealer with e-
JOE’s k nowledge and approval;
• damage or defects caused by flood, lightning, earthquake, war, vandalism, theft, brownouts or sags (damage due to
low voltage di sturbances).
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SUPPORT? STEP 1
Make sure to have the following available: original bill of sale with unexpired warranty period (proof of purchase), photo/video evidence of the def ectiv e part or produc t, and mai n produc t inf ormati on (such a s model, serial num ber, battery voltage, mot or wattage).
STEP 2
Read the respec tive manual and FAQs for tro ubleshooting a nd repair ins tructions. I f the solution i s not found, c ontact the authorized e-JO E Bike dealer (seller ) from whom you purchased y our product and report an i ssue. As your number one resource, the dealer shall evaluate the problem, prov i de instructions for troubleshooting and m ake attempts at resolving it.
STEP 3
If the issue is deemed as manufacture defect in materials and/or workmanship, fill out the warranty claim form (https:/ /ejoebik e.net/w arrant y/). e-J OE shall re pair or replace part s that are foun d by e-JOE t o be def ecti ve and c overed by the limited warranty.
If withi n the warranty perio d, identical mat erials are unavai lable at the ti me of repair or replacement, e-JOE reserves the right to subst it ute m ateri al s of equal o r bett er quali ty . R eplac ement prod uc ts may be new o r recondi ti oned. Al l p roduc t s t hat are replaced w ill become the pro perty of e-JOE and must be returne d upon request. Any item repai red or replaced u nder these terms will be covered by the limited warranty for the rem ai nder of the original warranty period.

In no ev ent shall e-JOE Bikes be res ponsible for any direct, indirect or c onsequent ial damages , including w ithout limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, or product l i ability in c onnection with their products.
