Our Philosophy

The slin g is like a s econd skin for the user. It does not matter how good the lifter is, if t he lif ting s ling
is not correct. That is wh y we focus on developing the most f lexible a nd co mfortable slings for both
users and c are- give rs. Our g oal is t o pro vide c omfo rt, saf ety and d igni ty for th e user during the
li fti ng a nd t ransfer. For this re aso n we have developed a 4 -po int suspen sion as a stand ard on o ur
lift ers. This makes the lift very stable, and the user will no t swing from side to side.

The 4- point suspension will also allow a free a nd o pen sitting pos ition, especially around the h ead
area wit hou t a ny risk of bumping the head i nto the suspensi on. The use r w ill not feel squeeze d a s
th ey would in a 2-point suspe nsi on, but comfor tab le and s afe . W ith the combin ati on of sl ing and
suspension, th e user will slide into a natural sitting posi tion.

The slings are d esigned to distribute weight and pressure evenly.

Molift offer s a wide, flexible selection of slings for all kind of tra nsfers. The slings vary in models and
sizes. Because Molift focuses on comfort and safety we strongly recommend an individual assessment.
A colour cod e indicates the sling size, which makes it easier and quicker to choose the co rrect sling
size. We design and manufacture our own s lings in Norway to the sam e high standards as the M olift
lift ers, and all our slings are approved in accordanc e with the NS-EN ISO 10535. Molift recommend
the use of Mo lift slings in combinati on with Molift lifters.

Molift Easy Sling

Molift Eas y Sl ing is suita ble for most lift ing
situations. It is available with and without head
support.

- Padded for more comf ort

The body and leg parts have a firm padding to
make it more comfortable for the user. It distri­butes weight and pressure evenly, and makes it
less likely that the sling will indent, pinch or
otherwise be disagreeable against the user’s
skin.

- Just the easiest sling to us e

A simple, unique folding technique makes it
possible to use one hand for the most critical
phase of fitting the sling around the user, leaving
the other hand free to support and safeguard
the user.

Molift Easy Toil et Sling

Lifting and transferring users to and from the toilet
can be the most difficult and least dignified lift.
Compared to a regular sling the lifting points are

positioned differently - from the thighs and seat to the
hollow of the knees and high on the chest to obtain
the necessary opening around the seat area to adjust
clothing.

Two buckles on the waist band secure an even dis­tribution of the pressure and the ability to tighten

Molift Easy Amputee Sling

Molift Easy Amputee Sling is designed for safe,
comfortable transfers of users with single or bi-lateral
amputation. Compared to a regular Molift Easy Sling
the opening around the seat area is reduced, and
also the leg parts are custom made for amputees.

Molift Basic Sling

Molift Basic Sling is the same shape and
size as Molift Easy Sling, but without padding.
Molift Basic Sling should be chosen when
the padding makes fitting of the sling more
difficult, such as lifting and transfer from
moulded seats in wheelchairs or comfort
chairs.

Molift Hammock Sling

Molift Hammock Sling en ables a comfortable, fully
supported sitting position. It adapts to the contours
of the body, and the user can be left in the sl ing
afte r the tr ansfer, for example, t o a comf ort chair
or a wheelchair. This kind of sling is often custom
made.

period. It is made of a p olyester net which allows
body moisture and heat to come through.

The Molift Patient Specific Sling is a disposable
sling which is the same shape as our regular Molift
Slings.

The Molift Patient Specific Sling is used by the indi­vidual patient; thus helping to reduce cross infection.
The contaminated sling should be disposed of in
accordance with current infection control procedures.
If the sling is subjected to any type of fluid, the inner
white fabric will change color to alert the caregiver
that the sling should be replaced immediately with a
new one. It is not designed to be washed or re-used.

- Padded for more comf ort

The Molift Patient Specific Sling is a comfortable,
padded high qu ali ty sling with adjustable h ead
support. It is manufactured from an environmentally
friendly material.

Molift Patient Specific Slings can also be used as an
alternative to laundering slings. They are sold in
packs of 10.

Molift Fabric Stretch

Molift Fabric Stretch is designed for lifting
from a lying position. It is a functional
stretcher especially designed for liftin g
patients who must be kept in a stable

Th e Moli ft Stretcher is a spinal-scoop
stretcher that is perfect for lifting users
with suspected fractures. It ensures safe
patient handling from the floor or bed. The
stretcher locks at the top and bottom, and
can be split in two parts.
The Molift Stretcher can be used in X-Ray
and CT scanning.

Molift Easy Raiser

Molift Easy Raiser sling is padded and designed for active
lifts in combination with Molift Quick Raiser. Providing a
perfect dorsal support, it is the ultimate sling for transfers
from sitting to sitting, stand-up training and toileting situations.

The sling is easily fitted and has a “marine” rope fixing. The
design of the sling makes it perfect for toileting.

-Safe and comfortable

Molift Easy Raiser has an anti-slip surface on the inside to
prevent the sling from sliding up. It has a high back to distri­bute pressure evenly, and additional padding under the

Sling size guide

All Molift Slings have different color codes indicating the size. This makes finding the right sling easier. Normal
slings foradults range from S to XXL, while pediatric lifting slings are sizes XS and XXS. However, as Molift
always focus on comfort and safety, we strongly recommend individual testing and selection.

Washing and maintenance

All Molift slings are, unless otherwise indicated on the sling label, washable at 80˚C/170˚F and autoclaveable
at 85˚C/185˚F for 30 minutes. The plastic insert of head support must be removed before washing. Inspect
the slings regularly, especially after laundering. Check carefully for wear and damage to seams, fabric, straps
and strap loops. Torn, cut, frayed or broken slings can fail, resulting in serious injury to the user. Always use
slings in good condition. Discard and destroy old, unusable slings. When in doubt, please contact the
manufacturer or the supplier.

Sling compatability

Molift allows slings manufactured by companies
other than ourselves to be used on our equip­ment, providing that the slings are of the loop
typ e atta chmen t and a docume nted risk
assessment is carried out by a competent
person.

We do, however, recommend our own slings,
the main reason for this is, unlike other hoist
manufacturers, we have a 4-point suspension
(spreader bar) which is designed to be used in
conjunction with our slings and not slings
designed for a 2-point spreader bar where the
clients’ position and the stress points of the
sling may be compromised.

Important!

Lifting and transferring a patient always involves a degree of risk. Study the Operator Manual and instructions
for the accessories carefully. A complete understanding of the contents of the instructions is essential. Only
trained personnel should use the equipment. Make certain that the lift accessories are for the lifter you are
using and for that particular lifting situation. Exercise caution and care when using the lifting equipment and
the accessories. As a caregiver, you are responsible for the safety of the patient. You must therefore be well
informed about the patient’s condition and ability to manage the lifting situation.
