RECHARGE
•
To enable faster charge times the BassBarrel has included a USB “Y” cable
that can draw power from 2 USB ports at the same time. Insert one or both
USB plugs into separate ports on PC or USB wall adaptor.

Insert Micro USB plug into Micro USB port on the BassBarrel
•
LED will glow red while battery is being recharged.
•
LED will glow blue when battery reaches full capacity

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Play via 3.5mm audio cable
1.
Insert 3.5 mm (1⁄8 in) audio plug into “AUX-IN” socket on BassBarrel.
2.
Insert opposite end into your audio player’s headphone socket.
3.
Turn on BassBarrel.
4.
Play music and adjust volume using player controls.
ON /OFF
Note: Using the audio cable will override Bluetooth function and BassBarrel
control buttons will have no use.
Pair and play via Bluetooth
1.
Place BassBarrel and a Bluetooth device within one metre.
2.
Enable Bluetooth on your device and “scan” under Bluetooth settings.
3.
Hold down “ON” button on your BassBarrel for 2 seconds.
4.
The BassBarrel will scan for new Bluetooth devices to pair with.
(LED will quickly blink blue). After a few seconds “MOKI BASSBARREL”
should be listed under available devices.
5.
Select it to connect. (Enter passkey “0000” if requested).
6.
LED will blink slowly indicating pairing was successful.
7.
Select song on device and press play. Playback may be controlled via device
or directly from the BassBarrel control panel.
Note: If pairing is not successful turn BassBarrel o, wait 10 seconds and turn
back on. Attempt pairing process again (away from other Bluetooth devices).
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When connected to Bluetooth enabled phone
Audio played from a Bluetooth device may be controlled either through the
connected device or on the BassBarrel control panel.
1. To play audio track from paired device press button button once.
2. To pause track press button again.
3. To skip forward a track press button once.
4. To skip back to the previous track press button once.
Handsfree calls
If a call is received when music is played from a mobile phone, the music will
pause and the phone will ring over the BassBarrel.
1. To answer an incoming call from a mobile phone press the button once.
2. To end a call press the button again.
3. To redial the last phone number called double press button.
Play via SD card or USB stick
BassBarrel control panel functions work only when playing audio via SD card,
USB stick or when connected to a Bluetooth device.
Audio files played from SD card or USB stick must be in . mp3 or .WMA format.

Insert SD card / USB stick into appropriate port on BassBarrel control panel.

Turn on BassBarrel

To start audio playing press the button once.
4.
To pause audio press button again.
5.
To skip track forward press button once.
6.
To skip back to previous track press button once.

Volume control
1.
To adjust volume on BassBarrel press the volume up or down buttons
located on control panel.
2.
Adjust volume using controls on audio player.
Note: For increased playtime set player volume to high and adjust volume
on BassBarrel down to desired level.
Note: Volume may be restricted if your player has an automatic volume limit
(AVL or VL) set on. Many new phones and audio devices have AVL set on
by default. If you are unsure of this setting check your device manual for details.
Note: When connecting to a Bluetooth enabled computer ensure the audio
output is set to play through BassBarrel and not through internal speakers.
Once connected, go to:
• “Sound” settings
• Select “Playback Devices”
• Select “MOKI BASSBARREL” and set it as “Default Playback Device”.
You may have the option to set it up as a speakerphone or headset allowing
hands free internet / VoIP calls.
Directional sound output
Moki BassBarrel can be rotated up to 90˚ to direct sound into a room or vertically
which may be more suitable for outdoor use. To rotate the direction of the top
speaker, place the BassBarrel on a flat surface and rotate the inner section.
Powerbank function
Moki BassBarrel can be used as a portable powerbank for recharging USB
devices on the go. The included USB cable connects to the standard USB port
on the BassBarrel and the Micro USB should connect to a mobile phone or
device with Micro USB input. For devices with other types of connections
(eg. idevices) you may use their original cable. (USB output is limited to 1000mA)
• Insert standard USB into port on BassBarrel
• Attach Micro USB to device to be charged
• Turn on BassBarrel
Device should now start recharging. If your device does not indicate recharge,
power supplied by the BassBarrel may not be sucient for that device. (>1000mA)
Note: Use as a powerbank will drain battery power therefore aect playtime
of the BassBarrel.

Do not apply excessive force to cables or connection points.
