LED500-04-10-02 & LED501-02-10-02 Beacons

Low Intensity ICAO Warning beacons

General:

These beacons serve as a method of air traffic control by distinguishing
Aviation obstacles on or around airports / airfields etc. They can be used for example on
High buildings, chimneys, pylons or towers etc in conjunction with ICAO (International
Civil Aviation Organization) regulations for low intensity warning lights.

Note:

The installer should be aware of the International laws, prescriptions and guide lines for
Distinguishing aviation obstacles when installing these obstacle marking beacons.

Current Draw: 70mA 150mA

Part Code: LED501-02-10-02 24v Dc
Current Draw: 800mA

Connecting wire: H05VV-F 3x0,75 ² Ø min 6mm, Ø max 8 mm

You must have an external strain relief attachment for the power cables.

Connecting clip: flexible 0,5 -1,5 mm²
Fuse: You have to install an external fuse

Cabling & Installation Instructions

1.1 How to remove the cover at the bottom of the
Beacon unit

1.1.1 Press the sleeve down, until you can see the
edge of the cover (Illustration 1.2)

1.1.2 Pull the cover from the edge of the beacon unit
(Illustration 1.3)

1.1.3 Insert the cable through opening A at the cover
and connect it to terminal block-look at Detail X.
Ensure a good earth connection.

1.2 The installation of the cover

1.2.1 Pull down the sleeve at one point. Locate the cover ‘U’
channel over the beacon moulding, ensuring positive seating
all round.

1.2.2 Do not use any sharp objects for the
assembly. Any punctures will impede the IP protection.

2. The installation of the plastic colour cap (dome)

2.1 You can loosen the colour cap from the beacon
unit, if you turn and pull simultaneously
(Illustration 2.1)

2.2 If you put together the glass colour cap and the
beacon unit, an air buffer will prevent the final
assembly.
Put a paperclip between the glass colour cap
and the beacon unit. So the air can escape (Illustration 2.2)
