Assistive Listening System
USER MANUAL
CAUTION
Follow the advice below for safe operations.
Stop operation immediately if any liquid or solid object should fall into the cabinet.
If the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, make sure that all power

PREPARATION FOR USE
Thank you for purchasing the Hamilton ALS700 Wireless RF Personal Listening
System. The system can be installed quickly and easily. It provides quality listening assistance in compliance with the American’s With Disabilities Act (ADA), which requires public facilities with audio systems to make listening assistance available to their audiences.
The ALS700 provides outstanding quality. This system operates up to 150 feet line of
sight. The system is configured with one wireless transmitter and 6 portable wireless belt pack receivers. The system is configured with two channel in 75.5MHz and
75.9MHz band. The system is expandable to limitless receivers.
This Assistive Listening System is versatile. It can be operated indoor or out without affecting performance. Excellent for any application from small classrooms and boardrooms to auditoriums and sanctuaries. The System offers great auditory reception without seating confinements.
The ALS700 connects to the line out from a tape player or from an existing sound
systems and broadcasts the audio as a FM radio signal.

ALSM700 TRANSMITTER
The ALSM700 Transmitter operates using the supplied AC Adapter (Operate at 120V ~ 60Hz)
POWERING THE TRANSMITTER NOTE: Only use the supplied adapter
1. Insert the DC plug of the AC adaptor provided into the DC 5V jack (#2) on the back
panel of the transmitter.
2. Plug the other end into an AC wall socket.

ARNING : Before connecting to the power supply, ensure that the supply
corresponds to the information on the rating label at the back of the apparatus.
3. Press POWER SWITCH (#5) on the power indicator (#6) will show power is getting
to the system.
4. The transmitter’s “signal” indicator (#7) will illuminate to confirm that the transmitter
is broadcasting.
5. Press CHANNEL button (#9) on the front panel to select transmitted channel both
channel indicator will light up.
SETTING UP THE TRANSMITTER
The 1/4” LINE IN jack (#1) enables you to connect directly from an audio source such
as a tape player.
MICROPHONE INPUT the 1/4” jack (#3) on the back of the transmitter is designed to
accept either dynamic or electret microphones.

POWERING THE RECEIVER

Inst Observe polarity. To preserve battery life, always turn ALSR700 receiver off when not in
use. When the POWER SWITCH (#16) to turn on, the sound becomes weak or
distorted, replace battery. The life expectancy from an alkaline battery is 17-20 hours.
BATTERY WARNING
1. Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage the
unit.
2. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
3. Do not mix old and new batteries.
4. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)
batteries.
5. For better performance and longer operating time, we recommend the use of
alkaline-type batteries.
6. If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.
Old or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
7. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat
and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions).
8. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may leak or explode.
OPERATING THE RECEIVER
Plug the included ALSB700 earphones into the phone jack (#12) on top of the receiver. While wearing your earphones, stand near the ASLM700 transmitter.

Turn on the receiver with the POWER SWITCH (#16) and CH1 indicator (#13) will be
solid light up when receive the signal from ALSM700 transmitter CH1, the indicator will
flash light when the transmitter isn’t to setting in CH1. Press the CHANNEL (#11) button to changing the receive channel.
Listen for your program source and adjust the GAIN control (#15) for a comfortable listening level. If no sound is heard adjust the VOLUME (#10) level on the transmitter.
NOTE: You may wish to dispose of the foam ear pads after use or they can be re-used after being washed in mild detergent, rinsed and air-dried.
CONFIRMING CORRECT INSTALLATION
For the best performance, (and to minimize the possibility of interference from another source), we suggest you experiment to find the minimal height the rod antenna (#4) must be extended in order to perform well in your particular environment.
