2 Safety instructions
2.1 General safety

On boats: If the appliance is powered by the mains, ensure that
the power supply has a residual current circuit breaker.

WARNING!
Do not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
If this device's power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, customer service or a similarly qualified
person in order to prevent safety hazards.
This device may only be repaired by qualified personnel.
Improper repairs can lead to considerable hazards.
This device can be used by children aged 8 years or over, as
well as by persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental
capacities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, providing
they are supervised or have been taught how to use the device
safely and are aware of the resulting risks.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by
children without supervision.
Children must not play with the device.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the device.
Always keep and use the device out of the reach of children
under the age of 8 years.
Do not store any explosive substances such as spray cans with

Check that the voltage specification on the type plate
corresponds to that of the energy supply.
Only connect the device as follows:
– With the DC cable to a DC plug socket in the vehicle (e. g.
cigarette lighter)
– Or with the 230 V connection cable to the 230 V AC mains
supply
Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable.
If the cooler is connected to the DC socket: Disconnect the
cooler and other power consuming devices from the battery
before connecting the quick charging device.
If the cooler is connected to the DC socket: Disconnect the
cooler or switch it off when you turn off the engine. Otherwise
you may discharge the battery.
The cooling device is not suitable for transporting caustic
materials or materials containing solvents.
2.2 Operating the device safely

Do not touch exposed cables with your bare hands. This
especially applies when operating the device with an AC mains
power supply.

Before starting the device, ensure that the power supply line
and the plug are dry.

Danger of overheating!
Ensure at all times that there is sufficient ventilation so that the
heat that arises during operation does not build up. Make sure
that the device is sufficiently far away from walls and other
objects so that the air can circulate.
Ensure that the ventilation openings are not covered.
Do not fill the inner container with ice or fluid.
Never immerse the device in water.
Protect the device and the cable against heat and moisture.
3 Intended use
The cooling device is suitable for cooling foodstuffs.
The cooling device is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
farm houses
clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
bed and breakfast type environments
catering and similar non-retail applications
The device is also able to heat using the additional heating feature.
The device is designed for use with:
a DC vehicle electrics socket of a car (such as a cigarette lighter), boat or
caravan (see voltage specification on the type plate)
a 230 V AC mains supply
The appliance may also be used for camping use. The appliance must not to
be exposed to rain.

4 Accessories
Available as accessory (not included in scope of delivery):
5 Technical description
The cooler is portable. It can cool items and keep them cool or heat items and
keep them warm (with the additional heating feature) to max. 65 °C.
Its cooling system is a non-wearing Peltier cooling, the heat is discharged by
a fan.
When the cooler is connected to a 230 V AC mains supply, it can be used in
two different operating modes:
ECO mode: the cooler consumes less energy
MAX mode: the cooler reaches maximum cooling capacity
The desired cooling capacity is selected with the cooling capacity control:
➤ To increase the cooling capacity, turn the cooling capacity control clock-
wise.
For the maximum cooling capacity turn the cooling capacity control
clockwise all the way to the stop (max position).
➤ To decrease the cooling capacity, turn the cooling capacity control
counterclockwise.
To turn off the cooler, turn the cooling capacity control counterclockwise
all the way to the stop (off position).
When the cooler is connected to the DC socket, the cooling capacity cannot
be adjusted. In this case the cooler cools maximal.

5.1 Optional accessories
The device is available in different versions. The version you bought may
have the following additional features:
Heating
The contents of your cooler can be warmed or kept warm to max. 65 °C.
ABS (activatable battery protection)
An integrated battery monitor can be switched on to protect your vehicle
battery from discharging to dangerously low levels.
Insulating lid
The lightweight insulating lid can be used as an alternative to the unit lid
when transporting. Make sure that the insulating lid does not cool.
Bottle hatch
A single drinks bottle can be removed via the bottle hatch.
Additional pockets
Pockets on the outside provide additional storage space. Note that
objects stored in them are not cooled.

Food may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable
containers.
NOTICE! Risk of damage
Ensure that all objects placed in the cooler are suitable for
cooling or heating (with the additional heating feature) to the
selected temperature.
Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not
excessively refrigerated. Drinks or liquid foods expand when
they freeze and can therefore destroy the glass containers.
Ensure that your cooler is well ventilated so that any heat
created can dissipate. Otherwise proper functioning cannot be
ensured. It is especially important not to cover the air vents.

6.1 Energy saving tips
Choose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against
direct sunlight.
If you want to set an increased energy efficiency and a limited cooling
capacity for the cooler unit, use the cooler’s ECO mode.
Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the device to keep
cool.
Do not open the cooling device more often than necessary.
Do not leave the cooler unit open for longer than necessary.
Remove individual drinks bottles through the bottle hatch, if present.
6.2 Using the cooler in DC mode
➤ Place the cooler on a firm base.
➤ Connect the DC cable to the cigarette lighter or the DC socket in the
vehicle.
Coolers without the additional heating feature
✓ The cooler starts cooling the interior.
➤ To switch off the cooler, disconnect the plug.
NOTE
Before starting your new cooling device for the first time, you
should clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons (please also refer to the chapter “Cleaning and
maintenance” on page 11).
A few water drops may form inside the cooler if it has been
cooling for a lengthy period. This is normal because the moisture in the air condenses to water when the temperature in the
cooler falls. The cooler is not defective. Wipe it out with a dry
cloth if necessary.
NOTE For coolers with fold in handles
If the handle is folded back or if the cooler is being carried, the lid
is locked. You can only open the lid when the handle is folded
forwards.

Coolers with the additional heating feature
➤ Push the switch on the control panel to HOT or COLD to switch the cooler
on.
✓ The indicators on the control panel show you the operating mode:
✓ The cooler starts cooling/heating the interior.
➤ To switch off the cooler,
– push the switch on the control panel from HOT or COLD to the OFF
position,
– disconnect the plug.
6.3 Using the cooler in AC mode
➤ Place the cooler on a firm base.
➤ Connect the 230 V connection cable to the AC mains.
➤ Turn the cooling capacity control to the desired position.
➤ For the additional ABS feature: Switch the battery monitor off (OFF
position).
Coolers without the additional heating feature
✓ The cooler starts cooling the interior.
➤ To switch off the cooler, turn the cooling capacity control to the OFF
position.
Coolers with the additional heating feature
➤ Push the switch on the control panel to HOT or COLD to switch the cooler
on.

➤ Occasionally clean the device interior and exterior with a damp cloth.
➤ Make sure that the air inlet and outlet vents on the device are free of any
dust and dirt, so that heat can be released and the device is not damaged.
NOTE
If you connect the cooler to the cigarette lighter, remember that in
most vehicles the ignition must be turned on to supply it with power.
WARNING!
Always disconnect the device from the mains before you clean
and service it.
NOTICE! Risk of damage
Never clean the cooler under running water or in dish water.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during
cleaning as these can damage the cooler.

➤ Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins
wherever possible.

If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling
centre or specialist dealer for details about how to do this in
accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.

The vehicle fuse has blown. Replace the vehicle's DC socket fuse
(usually 15 A). Please refer to the
operating manual of your vehicle.

Ihre Stromversorgung über einen FI-Schalter abgesichert ist.

Wenn das Gerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist, dürfen
Sie es nicht in Betrieb nehmen.
Wenn das Anschlusskabel dieses Gerätes beschädigt wird,
muss es durch den Hersteller, seinen Kundendienst oder eine
ähnlich qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden, um Gefährdungen
zu vermeiden.
Reparaturen an diesem Gerät dürfen nur von Fachkräften
durchgeführt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen
können erhebliche Gefahren entstehen.

Schließen Sie das Gerät nur wie folgt an:
– mit dem DC-Anschlusskabel an die DC-Bordsteckdose
(z. B. Zigarettenanzünder) im Fahrzeug
– oder mit dem 230-V-Anschlusskabel an das 230-V-Wechsel-
stromnetz
Ziehen Sie den Stecker nie am Anschlusskabel aus der Steck-
dose.
Wenn das Kühlgerät an der DC-Steckdose angeschlossen ist:
Klemmen Sie Ihr Kühlgerät und andere Verbraucher von der
Batterie ab, bevor Sie ein Schnellladegerät anschließen.
Wenn das Kühlgerät an der DC-Steckdose angeschlossen ist:
Trennen Sie die Verbindung oder schalten Sie das Kühlgerät
aus, wenn Sie den Motor ausschalten. Sonst kann die Batterie
entladen werden.
Das Kühlgerät ist nicht geeignet für den Transport ätzender
oder lösungsmittelhaltiger Stoffe.
2.2 Sicherheit beim Betrieb des Gerätes

Überhitzungsgefahr!
Achten Sie stets darauf, dass beim Betrieb entstehende Wärme
ausreichend abgeführt werden kann. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass
das Gerät in ausreichendem Abstand zu Wänden oder Gegenständen steht, sodass die Luft zirkulieren kann.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Lüftungsöffnungen nicht abgedeckt
werden.
Füllen Sie keine Flüssigkeiten oder Eis in den Innenbehälter.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät nie in Wasser.
Schützen Sie das Gerät und die Kabel vor Hitze und Nässe.
3 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Kühlgerät eignet sich zum Kühlen von Lebensmitteln.
Das Kühlgerät ist für den Hausgebrauch und ähnliche Anwendungsbereiche
vorgesehen wie zum Beispiel
in Personalküchen von Läden, Büros und anderen Arbeitsbereichen
in der Landwirtschaft
von Gästen in Hotels, Motels oder anderen Unterkünften
in Frühstückspensionen
im Catering und ähnlichen Großhandelsanwendungen
Mit der Zusatzausstattung „Wärmen“ kann das Gerät auch wärmen.
Das Gerät ist ausgelegt für den Betrieb an:
einer DC-Bordnetzsteckdose eines Autos (z. B. Zigarettenanzünder),
Boots oder Wohnmobils (siehe Spannungsangabe auf dem Typenschild)
an einem 230-V-Wechselstromnetz
Das Gerät ist auch für Camping-Zwecke geeignet. Das Gerät darf keinem
Regen ausgesetzt werden.

4 Zubehör
Als Zubehör erhältlich (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten):
5 Technische Beschreibung
Das Kühlgerät ist für den mobilen Einsatz geeignet. Es kann Waren abkühlen
bzw. kühl halten oder (bei Zusatzausstattung „Wärmen“) auf max. 65 °C
erwärmen bzw. warm halten.
Die Kühlung ist eine verschleißfreie Peltierkühlung mit Wärmeabfuhr durch
einen Lüfter.
Wenn das Kühlgerät an einem 230-V-Wechselstromnetz angeschlossen ist,
kann es in zwei verschiedenen Betriebsarten verwendet werden:
ECO-Modus: das Kühlgerät verbraucht weniger Energie
MAX-Modus: das Kühlgerät erreicht die maximale Kühlleistung
Die gewünschte Kühlleistung wird mit dem Kühlleistungsregler eingestellt:
➤ Um die Kühlleistung zu erhöhen, drehen Sie den Kühlleistungsregler im
Uhrzeigersinn.
Für die maximale Kühlleistung drehen Sie den Kühlleistungsregler bis
zum Anschlag im Uhrzeigersinn (Position „max“).
➤ Um die Kühlleistung zu verringern, drehen Sie den Kühlleistungsregler
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn.
Um das Kühlgerät auszuschalten, drehen Sie den Kühlleistungsregler
bis zum Anschlag gegen den Uhrzeigersinn (Position „off“).
Wenn das Kühlgerät an der DC-Steckdose angeschlossen ist, kann die Kühl-
leistung nicht eingestellt werden. Das Kühlgerät kühlt dann maximal herunter.

5.1 Mögliche Zusatzausstattung
Dieses Gerät ist in verschiedenen Ausführungen erhältlich. Die von Ihnen
erworbene Ausführung kann daher folgende Zusatzausstattungen haben:
Wärmen
Der Inhalt Ihres Kühlgerätes kann auf max. 65 °C erwärmt bzw. warm
gehalten werden.
ABS (aktivierbarer Batterieschutz)
Ein im Gerät integrierter zuschaltbarer Batteriewächter schützt Ihre
Fahrzeugbatterie vor zu tiefer Entladung.
Isolierdeckel
Der leichtere Isolierdeckel kann als Transportalternative zum Aggregat-

Lebensmittel dürfen nur in Originalverpackungen oder geeigneten Behältern eingelagert werden.
ACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr!
Achten Sie darauf, dass sich nur Gegenstände bzw. Waren im
Kühlgerät befinden, die auf die gewählte Temperatur gekühlt
oder (bei Zusatzausstattung „Wärmen“) erwärmt werden
dürfen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie Getränke oder Speisen in Glas-
behältern nicht zu stark abkühlen. Beim Gefrieren dehnen sich
Getränke oder flüssige Speisen aus. Dadurch können die
Glasbehälter zerstört werden.
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Kühlgerät gut belüftet wird, damit
die entzogene Wärme abgeführt werden kann, andernfalls ist
eine ordnungsgemäße Funktion nicht gewährleistet. Insbesondere dürfen die Lüftungsöffnungen nicht abgedeckt werden.
HINWEIS
Bevor Sie das neue Kühlgerät in Betrieb nehmen, sollten Sie
es aus hygienischen Gründen innen und außen mit einem
feuchten Tuch reinigen (siehe auch Kapitel „Reinigung und
Pflege“ auf Seite 23).
Ein paar Wassertropfen können sich im Inneren des Kühl-
gerätes absetzen, wenn es längere Zeit gekühlt hat. Dies ist
normal, weil die Feuchtigkeit in der Luft zu Wassertropfen
kondensiert, wenn die Temperatur im Kühlgerät abkühlt. Das
Kühlgerät ist nicht defekt. Wischen Sie es ggf. mit einem
trockenen Tuch aus.
HINWEIS für Kühlgeräte mit umlegbarem Griff
Wenn der Griff nach hinten umgelegt ist oder das Kühlgerät
getragen wird, ist der Deckel verschlossen. Sie können den Deckel nur öffnen, wenn der Griff nach vorne umgelegt ist.

6.1 Tipps zum Energiesparen
Wählen Sie einen gut belüfteten und vor Sonnenstrahlen geschützten
Einsatzort.
Wenn Sie eine erhöhte Energieeffizienz und eine begrenzte Kühlleistung
für das Kühlgerät einrichten wollen, nutzen Sie den ECO-Modus des
Kühlgerätes.
Lassen Sie warme Speisen erst abkühlen, bevor Sie sie im Gerät kühl
halten.
Öffnen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht häufiger als nötig.
Lassen Sie das Kühlgerät nicht länger offen als nötig.
Entnehmen Sie einzelne Getränkeflaschen durch die Flaschenluke, wenn
vorhanden.
6.2 Kühlgerät im DC-Betrieb verwenden
➤ Stellen Sie das Kühlgerät auf eine feste Unterlage.
➤ Schließen Sie das DC-Anschlusskabel an den Zigarettenanzünder oder

La glacière convient pour refroidir des aliments.
La glacière est conçue pour un usage à domicile et tous les domaines
d'applications semblables, comme par exemple
dans les cuisines destinées au personnel de boutiques, bureaux et autres
lieux de travail
dans l'agriculture
pour les clients d'hôtels, de motels ou autres types d'hébergement
dans les « bed and breakfast »
dans le catering et les utilisations semblables du commerce en gros
L'appareil peut également être utiliser pour réchauffer des denrées si
l'équipement supplémentaire « Réchaud » est disponible.
L'appareil est conçu pour fonctionner sur :
une prise CC du réseau de bord de votre voiture (p. ex. allume-cigares),
de votre bateau ou de votre camping-car (voir la tension indiquée sur la
plaque signalétique)
un réseau alternatif 230 V
L’appareil convient également au camping. L'appareil ne doit pas être

5 Description technique
La glacière convient pour une utilisation mobile. Elle permet de refroidir et de
tenir au frais des denrées ou (si l'équipement supplémentaire « Réchaud »
est disponible) de les réchauffer jusqu'à 65 °C max. et de les maintenir au
chaud.
La réfrigération est assurée par effet Peltier, sans usure, avec évacuation de
la chaleur par ventilateur.
Si la glacière est raccordée à un secteur de courant alternatif 230 V, il est
possible de l'utiliser en deux modes différents :
Mode ECO : la glacière consomme moins d’énergie
Mode MAX : la glacière atteint la puissance maximale de refroidissement
La puissance de refroidissement souhaitée est réglée grâce au
commutateur :
➤ Pour augmenter la puissance de refroidissement, tournez le commuta-
teur dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
Pour la puissance de refroidissement maximale, tournez le commutateur
jusqu’à la butée dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre (position
«max»).
➤ Pour réduire la puissance de refroidissement, tournez le commutateur
dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre.
Pour éteindre la glacière, tournez le commutateur jusqu’à la butée dans
le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre (position « off »).
Si la glacière est raccordée à la prise CC, il n’est pas possible de régler la
puissance de refroidissement. La glacière établit par conséquent la plus
basse température de réfrigération possible.
