I HIGH SPEED Everyone wants speed in a
■ shaper and Moak gives it to you. Standard
speed 8350 R.P.M. Speeds up to 12,000
R.P.M. (with 2
no extra cost. Spindle has square threads and is
made of high grade alloy steel perfectly ground
all over and fitted with ultra precision type
ball bearings. Bearings are finest quality, con
siderably oversized, and selected to give contin
uous high-speed service. Pulley is built integral
with spindle, assuring perfect balance and maxi
mum strength. Spindle is mounted in a single
yoke casting, precision machined, and gibbed to
the base in adjustable dovetail ways.
2 SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT Yoke can be
at any point by handy locking device. Spindle
is provided with a convenient holding pin that
permits spindle nut to be removed when chang
ing knives or cutters. "Start"—"Stop" push button
station provides finger-tip control of motor.
0 POSITIVE LUBRICATION As shown
special oiling construction assures constant and
efficient lubrication, while at the same time, pre
venting an over supply of oil, thus reducing
heating to a minimum at all times. Upper bearing
is fitted with an improved oil slinging device
which plays a constant spray of oil on the bear
ing, and the oil is fed to the lower bearing by
means of capillary action.

One big secret of good shaper work is hav
ing the table at perfect right angles to the
spindle and having it always level and true
over its entire surface. The Moak table casting is
scientifically seasoned to prevent warping and is
ground perfectly true by a special process. The
edges are beveled. The central hole is carefully
machined and the ring snugly fitted.

the modern cast iron type with dovetailed ways
cast integral, thus reducing the number of parts
