Fire is a big deal and a necessary component in life not only to your senses, but to evolution itself. That said, most people’s fire skills are open for improvement, but not you, you are a real Firestarter from now on. Fire skills are not difficult to learn. First we get down to the basics of simply starting a fire and getting it going with a minimum of fuss.
Remember, never build your fire indoors, except in a real fireplace. Before you start
Tie up any long hair
Wear protective gear (glasses, gloves, and shoes)
Keep a bucket of water nearby
Keep extremely flammable items away
Have a first aid kit handy just in case
Find an open area away from fences, sheds, and trees to build a fire
Keep in mind, there are three essential parts to a great fire: Oxygen, Fuel, and Heat. Follow the next steps:
1. Place the plates of the Fire Cube BBQ in the desired starting position. Decide what your are going to cook or grill because you can’t adjust the plates after the fire is lit.
2. Place small sticks and twigs on top of the plates of the Fire Cube BBQ in a little pile that looks like a Teepee with enough air between the sticks.
3. Light the fire with a lighter or matches. It is possible to use fire starter fuel that is approved for lighting fires.
4. Begin placing larger dry logs onto the fire in desired arrangement and build up your fire in the Fire Cube BBQ.
5. After a while there are fresh glowing coals on the bottom of the fire. You can use the coal adjusters to let the coals through towards the grill plates. It’s best to use your poke push the coals through the holes manually, this way you have the best control.
6. Now play around with the adjusters and doors to regulate the temperature and enjoy your fire while cooking and grilling!
How to use your Fire Cube BBQ for the first time(s)
1. Keep things simple and social, don’t stress out over details
2. Choose the position of your grilling plates
(the standard position 2 will do fine for most cooking)
3. Leave out the doors (use these when you mastered
controlling the fire and are a experienced pit master)
4. Make a nice fire and watch the flames
5. Drop down the coals with a poke
6. Enjoy your BBQ and play around with the fire
Do Not
Use woods that have been treated with chemicals, or come from unknown
sources, as this will spoil your food and in extreme cases may be harmful to your own health.
Never leave the Fire Cube BBQ unattended. Kids are wonderful, but curious
creatures, so please keep them safe by ensuring that they (or any pets) cannot touch or interfere with the Fire Cube BBQ whilst it is in use.

How does it work?
The Fire Plates can be
placed in 3 positions. This influences the temperature in the BBQ compartments.
WARNING!
If you adjust the fire plates when the fire is burning… Duh! You will get hospitalized! So when in use all the metal plates are extremely hot and should not be touched bare handed.
Grilling. In position 2 the
temperature will be right for grilling, between 150
- 300 degrees. The door is used only for extra heat if necessary.

Slow Cooking. In position 3
there will only be indirect heating. This is perfect for slow cooking. The temperature in the compartment will be between 50-150 degrees. The door should be closed.
