The USB Charger is suitable for charging portable electronic devices connected via a USB 2.0 type A plug.
The USB Charger is suitable for use with all ranges of MK Euro frontplates with at least a 2 module (50x50mm) aperture.

Twin Charging Sockets: The USB Charger comes with two charging sockets capable of delivering a total maximum charging current of 2A. This can be delivered to either socket or divided between the two as required and controlled by the devices being charged.
Zero Standby: The USB Charger will draw no current from the mains until a connector is inserted into either connection port.
Safety Isolation: The output of this product is fully isolated at SELV level to provide maximum protection for your safety.
Output Overload Protection: The USB Charger is protected against over-current and short circuit conditions on the output.

C. SPECIFICATION
1. To prevent the risk of electrocution, turn off the mains
electricity supply before commencing work on the instal­lation of this product.
2. To ensure safe installation:
- This product must be installed by a competent person (e.g. a qualified electrician) in accordance with these instructions and the appropriate current national wiring regulations, (e.g. the IEE wiring regulations BS 7671).
- Where the mounting box incorporates an earth terminal, it must be connected to the circuit protective (Earth) con­ductor.
NOTE: All bare earth wires must be covered with appro­priate green/yellow sleeving.
- It is essential that all connections are made as instructed, that the cables are not stressed and that the terminal screws are fully tightened.
3. This product MUST NOT be installed in bathrooms, washrooms or any location subject to splashes of water, condensation or excessively damp conditions.
4.Ensure that the product is mounted on an even surface in the vertical plane.
5.Do not use the USB Charger in ambient temperatures higher than the maximum specified operating temperature.
6. This product contains no user serviceable parts. DO NOT attempt to open the module as this will invalidate your warranty.
NOTE: The front surface of this product will naturally become warm in use. This is normal and is not a cause for concern
IMPORTANT:
Refer to Safety Instructions (E), before starting work.
The supply to this product must be protected by a class B or C MCB with a maximum rating of 32A.
1. Turn off the mains electricity supply.
2.Select the appropriate flush mounting wall box from the table below based on the thickness of MK Euro Frontplate the USB Charger is to be mounted in.
Ensure the wall box is firmly secured to the wall.
The product may be cleaned with a dry soft lint free cloth. Do not use water or any abrasive, solvent based or aerosol cleaners as this may damage, discolour or affect the finish and safety of the product.
At the end of their useful life the packaging, product and where applicable batteries, should be disposed of via a suit­able recycling centre. Do not dispose of with your normal household waste. Do not burn.

The Company undertakes to replace or repair, at its discre­tion, this product should it become defective within a period of 2 years after delivery, solely as a result of faulty materials and/or workmanship. Understandably, if the product has not been installed or maintained in accordance with the Company’s instructions, has not been used appropriately, or if any attempt has been made to rectify, dismantle or alter the product in any way, the guarantee will be invalidated.
This Guarantee states the Company’s entire liability. It does not extend to cover consequential loss or damage or instal­lation costs arising from the defective product. This Guarantee does not restrict or infringe the normal statutory or other rights of the consumer.

NOTE: When using a box with four mounting lugs, it may be necessary to bend down flat, the top and bottom lugs.
1. Fix the Euro frontplate to the wall box and feed the wiring out through the aperture.
2. Strip back the outer cable sheath and trim the inner cables to length to allow cable ends to reach terminals. Carefully strip the inner cable insulation to expose 8mm of wire.
3. Connect the Live and Neutral cables to the charger.
Live = brown Neutral = blue
NOTE: Some countries and existing installations may also use the following cable colours:
Live = red Neutral = black
4. Any bare earth conductors must be fitted with an appropriate length of green/yellow insulating sleeve and properly terminat­ed with a connector.
If the mounting box is provided with an earth terminal, connect the earth conductor to the terminal.
5. Carefully push the wired charger into the frontplate until the snap fits have fully engaged. Ensure that cables are not trapped or pinched.
6. The completed installation should be tested in accordance with the current wiring regulations by a qualified electrician.
Leave these instructions with the end user for future reference. Remaining Packaging can safely be disposed of via standard recycling facilities.
