COMMISSIONING WARNING: 230 Volts is present on the underside of the
printedcircuitassembly.
7. With the room empty, ensure that there are no spurious movement signals liable to cause interference. Check this with ventilation and other machinery running. Possible interference sources are: fans turning, flapping notices, flashingfluorescentlights, runningwateretc.
1. SetallmodeswitchestoON.
2. Adjustthe timer controls to zero (fully anticlockwise). Relay 1 willtimeoutin4seconds,Relay2in8(ifapplicable) enabling theunittobe ‘walktested’.
3. Setbothrangecontrols fullyanticlockwise.
4. Leavetheareauntil thelightsgooff andthenre-enter.
6. Leavetheareaandwaitforthelights to turn off. Waitafurther 10 seconds then re-enter. Adjust the OFF range control clockwise until the lights are switched on ONLY AS THE AREAISENTERED.
5. AdjusttheONrangecontrolclockwisetoincreasesensitivity, ensuring all areas are covered and that the lightsarekept on with minimal movement.
*When set fully anticlockwise the OFF range is equal to theONrange.
Swivel the detector head to give best coverage - by experimenting with various orientations, therangecontrolcan bekepttoa minimum setting.

8. SettheMODE switchtogivethedesired functions. (SeeModes of Operationover.)
9. Set the OFF DELAY controls as required - each control has a range of 0 to 16 minutes. A setting of around5 - 10 minutes is usuallyappropriate.
Off Delay O/P1 relates to Relay 1 - Off Delay O/P2 relates to Relay 2. Note that O/P2 commences to time out after O/P1 has expired, therefore with O/P2 set to zero both circuits will time out together.
10.Lockthedetectorheadinto positionbeforeleaving (seedetector instructions).

WHERETOFIT
A corner position often takes maximum advantage of the detection pattern. Reflections from walls and ceilings will increase performance further and extend coverage into nonline-of-sight areas. The detector responds to movement through glass therefore point away from thin partitions and windowswhichviewonto activity.
Itisgenerallyadvisabletoseparatethedetectorand controlunit forconvenience of wiringandcommissioning. Do not fit in roof spaceor otherinaccessiblelocations.
