16-channel multiplexer

Its 16-channel multiplexer lets you connect the DX-TL5000E up to 16

cameras simultaneously. You have five different split-screen display

formats to choose from: 4, 9, 10, 13 or 16 video feeds. And thanks to

a processing speed of 50 images per second, the DX-TL5000E always

delivers smooth footage in real time – even in 16-feed display mode.

Triplex function

The DX-TL5000E allows you to review recorded footage without interrupt-

ing ongoing monitoring. Its triplex function is the key: you can check

real-time surveillance and previous recordings – even archive material –

while the DX-TL5000E continues to record. Simply select a section of the

split-screen display for playback using the jog-shuttle control to navigate.

Dual multiplexer output

Use two monitors at the same time via the dual multiplexer to get even

more from the DX-TL5000E’s split-screen capability. The technology

channels real-time video feeds and playback footage separately to the

two monitors. Alternatively, material recorded by a single camera at differ-

ent times can be displayed simultaneously on both monitors – a real

time-saver when reviewing a long period of video surveillance.

Wavelet JPEG2000

High-definition recording

The secret behind the optimised recording functionality of the DX-TL5000E is

the innovative JPEG2000 data compression. This new generation technology

combines outstanding image quality with enormous recording capacity: as

much as one terabyte of data can be stored on a 750-gigabyte hard drive.

And with the optional sound card DX-SC5, up to four audio channels can

be recorded.

Alarm recording

The DX-TL5000E is especially vigilant in critical situations. For example,

should any of up to 16 connectable cameras trigger an alarm – via either

motion detection or external sensor, set to individual parameters – the

DX-TL5000E initiates alarm recording according to its pre-alarm function

setup. Crucial images are preserved for later investigation.

Secure data storage

The important data generated by alarm recording are stored on a special

partition of the hard drive. The information is thus protected from being

overwritten. And for absolute security, an additional hard drive can be used

to store backups. Thanks to the system’s mirror function, all information –

including key alarm data – remains accessible, should one of the hard

drives fail.

Archiving

Video footage and still images are archived easily: on the internal hard drive

or one of up to seven optional external hard drives (optional DX-ZD5UE) via

USB interface. In addition, the DX-TL5000E is equipped with an integrated

CD/DVD burner. You can determine precisely what to copy: all recorded

footage or specific images only. When data on the hard drive are copied to

another storage medium, viewer software is automatically included. All data

can thus be investigated on any PC.
