How to aach your CP-D90DW Printer to
the NUC
1. Aach metal plate to the back of the D90 printer using (2) silver screws. (Note: Make sure to point arrow up on metal plate)
2. Aach black screw to the back of the NUC.
3. Insert NUC with aached screws to the metal plate on the back of the D90 printer.
4. Connect USB Cable to the D90 printer and power
adapter to the NUC.
5. Plug NUC to an outlet and press power buon on
the NUC.
*Make sure D90 Printer power is on before
powering up the
NUC. ame and use new admin/user password

Simple Setup Workflow
FunPrint basic setup workflow is as follows;
1) Wi-Fi connection to the PC box from a mobile device.
4) Log in as Admin
5) Tap "Stop Service" button.
6) Tap "Frame/Layout Setup", and "2. FunPrint Layout
7) Follow Layout Setting Setup steps 1/7 - 7/7
8) Close setting screens and go back to "Start" screen

3) Move to Setup Log in screen
Select SSID for the PC Box at Wi-fi setup menu of your mobile device
Tap "Start Application" button.
For Android, manually open Chrome browser. For iOS10.3.x, manually open Safari.
Go to http://192.168.110.1/maintenance/

Fun Print Service
Fun Print allows selection of up to 6 images from your mobile device and place them in a pre-format template. Can preview and edit each image before printing. The feature and functions are:
• Customized screen colors with a capability of showing any shop or campaign logo
• Easy Layout/Frame setting wizard
• Configurable up to 6 images per print
• Users can edit each image (size, angle, position and add decoration icons)
• Overlaid frame can be set ( Import the frame image from Easy print setup menu)
• Copies are selectable by end-users
• End-users can preview image(s) before sending it for printing

1. Choose a template design (No. 1 - 6). Note: When only one template is activated, this screen won't appear.

Easy Print 1
Easy Print provides a quick and easy way of printing stored images from mobile phones and tablets (iOS and Android). This service feature and functions are:
• Quick print service
• One image per print
• Users can select an image from their photo library or take a photo and send it directly for
printing thru Wi-Fi connection

2. Take photo or pick an image from Photo Library.
3. The image will be immediately uploaded to the system. Printing will begin shortly.

1) Select type of caption. When selecting "Free", input a free caption or a function name. When Index number is used for a caption, set the start number.

A part of caption may be cut off if set at too close to top / bottom end.

4. HotFolder Setting
HotFolders ID 101 - 120 are used for Easy Print Service 1 &2.
To choose a HotFolder for Easy Print, go to: Service Setting > Web Print Setting
HotFolders ID 201 - 206 are used for Fun Print Service.
Select a Preset Print Size from drop down menu. i.e. 10x15(4x6”)
Choose a Preset Layout from drop down menu.

UltraFine Image quality parameters can be set for each Print Mode. For example: Adjust sharpness settings for Fine mode and Auto mode.

6.2 Print Limit Setting
System - Max Print Count Print service will stop when the total print reaches the setting value. i.e. If 1000 is set, the service stops when the number of prints reaches 1000.
User - Max Print Count Sets max print count & timer for the user. Each device is allowed to print until each total print reaches the setting value. Print limit is reset after expiration time has passed.
i.e. If 1 hour is set for Expiration Time, each mobile device can print up to 10 copies per hour. Another 10 copies on the next hour.

<About Frames for Fun Print>
The basic fame for Fun Print is Underlaid of the image, and image shape is always quadrangle. Frame/Layout Setup wizard for FunPrint allows to use the underlaid frame only. However, if Hotfolder setting for #201- 206 is used, Overlay frame can be used for Fun Print also. The overlay frame can be a full size frame design with a transparent window for a photo image or overlay design like a logo or a character with a full size transparent canvas.
[Import] Overlayed frame for Fun Print must be imported from Service Setting - Easy Print1 or 2 - Frame Setting - Import
Store following directory for Overlayed frame image: /(USB)/Smartp/easyprint/frame/***.png
[Use of frame] HotFolder Setting - ID 201, 202.... 206, corresponding to
Layout number of Funprint from 1 to 6 - Frame - Frame select / Frame
[Note] The overlayed frame will not be displayed on Fun Print Service screen on user's mobile device, but added on a print.

[Caution] While Post card media is installed, do not set No. 11, 23, 26 and 27, or variable. The error state will continue if a photo with those print settings is sent to a printer.
( You cannot stop service even after reboot the PC.)
[Method of recovery from the continued error state]
1. Press and hold the power butto n of PC to shutdown.
2. Power off Printer.
3. Turn on PC.
4. Log in with Admin, stop the se rvice and go to Maintenance menu.
5. Tap "Clear all" to delete print jobs. ( All photo data will be deleted.)
6. Power on Printer.
or, load CK-D746, D768, D868 or D769 media (bo th ribbon and paper). The pending job will be printed.

UPDATE
Wi-fi Print System Software Update Procedure
1. Log in the maintenance mode and make sure that the current System Version is the update applicable version designated by a release note.
Software update is valid for System ver1.1.0.0 or later versions.
2. Shutdown the system.
3. Using Windows PC, create "SmartpUpdate" folder at the root directory of a USB flash drive
and copy the update file "KT_V****.zip" in the folder.
/(USB)/SmartpUpdate/KT_V****.zip
4. Insert the USB flash drive to a USB port of the system.
5. Power On the PC. The software update starts automatically.
* Do not unplug the USB flash drive while updating.
* Refer to a release note for approx. time to complete the update.
6. After the update, the PC will soon reboot automatically. There is no obvious sign showing the timing of automatic reboot.
Check wi-fi SSID by a smart phone or other wireless device.
If the Wi-Fi SSID of your system stably appears, the system is already rebooted.
7. Log in the Start menu and confirm that the System version is updated.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Always start out by turning the smart phone or tablet off and back on again to see the issue persists.
How to properly shut down the system:
1. Press the NUC's power buon .
2. or using the applicaon, go to maintenance login: hp://192.168.110.1/maintenance/, log in as an administrator. On the start screen, tap Shutdown.
Warning:
• Do not unplug NUC from the power outlet w/o properly shung down the system.
• Do not uplug USB cable from the NUC to the printer w/o properly shung down the system.
If the App isn't responding:
1. If the app is having issues, acng slow or giving problems, reload the browser screen.
2. If reloading the screen does not work, check Wi-Fi connecon and make sure you are connected to .SelFone_WiFi_Print
If the Printer is not responding:
Note: When logged in as an administrator, the start screen will show System: Error
1. Make sure your printer is plugged in and power is on.
2. Make sure that USB connecon between the printer (Type B) and NUC (Type A) is secure.
3. Printer is out of paper and/or ink. a. Properly shut down the system and replace paper and/or ink, then power it back on and re-connect to the Wi-Fi.
If the NUC is not responding:
1. Make sure the NUC is plugged in and power is on.
2. Make sure that USB connecon between the NUC (Type A) and printer (Type B) is secure.
