Instruction Manual
The DIAMOND POWER KNIFE SHARPENER HAS 3 SLOTS FOR SHARPENING , EACH HAVE A DIFFERENT COARSENESS OF GRINDING 1 VVVVV The grinding slot nearest the body is for forming the correct angle onto the edge of badly worn or damaged blades.
2 WWW Fine grinding wheels in the middle slot , this is for everyday sharpening
of most blades
2 The end slot is for honing , this is to give a fine finish to the cutting
edge and should be used most often to polish the edge back after use
Sharpening a blunt or damaged blade
1. Plug the unit into wall socket . Check that the machine is secure and safe – turn on the plug
2. Gently lower the blade into slot 1 nearest to the motor handle
3. Slowly pull the blade back and for the until new edge is formed, this could take between 5 and 30 motions depending on how baldy worn the blade is
4. Move the blade to the middle slot 2 and repeat the process – should take 4-5 strokes.
5. Move the blade to slot 3 and repeat step 4
Once sharp the blade can be maintained by regular use of the honing wheel in slot 3. It is important not to press too hard , a medium sized blade should sharpen under its own weight.
