IST-REES RC710
Solid State - Color - Radiation Tolerant
Combining solid state features and low noise color
pictures in a radiation tolerant package, the RC710
from Mirion Technologies offers another option in nuclear
inspection. The solid state design of the RC710 provides
for easier maintenance and set-up procedures together
with low noise color pictures.

SPECIFICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE
THE RC93/00 VIEWING HEAD
The RC710 is an evolution in camera design and
development for the nuclear inspection market. With
color digital imaging sensors and solid state technol-
ogy, the RC710 is designed to enhance many aspects
of inspection performance. All of this comes with the
proven radiation tolerance expected from a Mirion
Technologies camera system.
The solid state technology incorporated into this new
design creates a more reliable and robust inspection
system. With increased reliability and easier on-site
maintenance procedures associated with solid state
cameras, operators will experience less downtime
during site inspections.
Other important features of the RC710 include the
ability to produce low noise color images from a small
prole 40mm diameter body size. The RC710 is radia-
tion tolerant, exceeding 3 X 106 rads total absorbed
dose and can provide outstanding images at dose
rates of 1 X 105 rads per hour. The radiation tolerance
afforded with the RC710 translates to a camera system
with a long life and an exceptional mean-time between
failure rating. The camera has also proven to provide
exceptional resistance to EMI induced noise which is
extremely benecial in the environmental conditions
frequently found within the nuclear environment.
The R93/00 viewing head protects the lens and enables
the RC710 camera to be used underwater. Quartz glass
and polycarbonate windows are available.
Length with Camera 369mm (14.5”)
Diameter 40.5mm (1.6”)
Depth Rating 200m
Weight with Camera 1.5kg (3.3lb)
THE R93/01 LED VIEWING HEAD
The R93/01 viewing head is designed for use in restrict-
ed spaces. It has a low power internal lighting system
consisting of a ring of 22 LED’s for optimum lighting.
Quartz glass and polycarbonate windows are available.
Length with Camera 361mm (14.2”)
Diameter 40.5mm (1.6”)
Depth Rating 200m
Weight with Camera 1.5kg (3.3lb)
THE R93/05 VIEWING HEAD
The radial viewing R93/05 provides good illumination for
general purpose viewing from 2 x 10W tungsten halogen
lamps. After tting, the head can be rotated manually by
up to 180 (without breaking the center waterproof seal),
to obtain the optimum lighting alignment, or to t into
specic spaces.
Length with Camera 370mm (1.6”)
Diameter 40.5mm (1.6”)
Depth Rating 200m
Weight with Camera 2.5kg (5.5lb)
